Vintage Summer Cottage se dresse haut sur le littoral rocheux de Westport Island dans la région de la côte du Maine. VUES SPECTACULAIRES sur les îles environnantes, les bateaux de pêche au homard et les phoques communs. Il y a aussi un accès facile à l'eau et à un quai. Le phare de Hendrik's Head et l'océan ouvert sont directement au sud et facilement visibles. La merveilleuse exposition sud-est permet une vue imprenable sur l'eau, la faune, la navigation de plaisance et le lever du soleil depuis chaque fenêtre! Chambres spacieuses et spacieuses avec des meubles de chalet et des antiquités. Chauffage central. Un grand porche enveloppant sur le côté ouest du chalet, pour regarder les couchers de soleil. Il y a un quai en eau profonde sur une belle péninsule surplombant une crique au nord du chalet.
Le chalet principal est de 4 chambres, (3 reines et un roi) et un lit simple sur le porche fermé. L'unité attenante a une cuisine complète, une terrasse au bord de l'eau et il peut accueillir 4. Il est accessible depuis le chalet principal ou depuis une entrée extérieure séparée.
Un paradis pour les plaisanciers!: Si vous avez un bateau ... Apportez-le! Il y a un quai dans la crique qui pourra accueillir un bateau de 22 pieds. Il y a toujours de l'eau profonde au quai. Il y a une rampe de mise à l'eau publique sur l'île à environ 8 km du chalet ... Des locations de kayak sont disponibles juste en haut de la route et peuvent être livrées et ramassées. La région de Sheepscot Bay est un paradis pour les plaisanciers, avec de merveilleuses destinations à proximité ...

Propreté!: J'ai eu la même merveilleuse galette de nettoyage fiable depuis 26 ans. Le chalet est toujours impeccable et les matelas sont neufs, confortables et entièrement recouverts de protège-matelas de haute qualité. Ce chalet est loué chaque été depuis 28 ans et n'a jamais rien reçu sauf un avis 5 étoiles !!

Classic Coastal Maine Cottage

Our family stayed at the large house and property while attending a wedding in Boothbay. We enjoyed the incredible water views, boiled lobster, fished from the dock and built fires in the fire pit. Very idyllic location!

Great weekend getaway in Maine

I visited this property with a group of friends for a weekend. It’s a great getaway in Maine, beautiful property with a ton of space for activities. We had a blast playing wiffleball, grilling outside, and sitting by the fire. There’s also a local lobster fisherman that dropped off some freshly caught lobsters that turned out to be delicious. Would visit again, highly recommend!

Beautiful place to find yourself

The area was so beautiful. Our host apologized for the uncommon foggy weather, but even the fog was stunning as we watched it roll in and undulate above the water. We felt very comfortable in the house; one of my traveling companions remarked "I felt very at home here."

Awesome Spot in Lobster Heaven!

Ellen's place was a perfect location for a low key weekend with friends during a high school reunion. Love all the decor, the home-y feel, and the fantastic views! We spent lots of time on the dock, enjoy some lawn games, grilled, and had a wonderful lobster boil dinner complete with fresh, dock-delivered lobsters. Would love to stay here again!!

Wonderful stay on Westport Island

Our large extended family (young adults to 80+) had an awesome time at this lovely home. The lightening fast internet and smart TV was appreciated by the young adults, and the beautiful view and ample seating was a bonus for all. The dock was perfect for our 26 foot motor boat - which was very useful for zipping over to several of the nearby restaurants in Bath, Robinhood, and Boothbay Harbor. The huge kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the gas grill was definitely used and enjoyed. Ellen, the host, was very attentive and checked in on us multiple times, and made several useful recommendations. We will definitely return!

Beautiful setting!

This is a beautiful spot -- great views and plenty of space to relax, cook, and play. The dock is wonderful if you have a boat or just want a swimming spot. Things to note depending on the make-up of your group... the stairs are quite steep and shallow; the 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor of the main house share a standard bathroom; there are 2 fridges, which is great!

We really enjoyed staying in this large classic Maine home on beautiful coastline full of seals, ospreys and flowers. The house worked well for our combination of two families with 5 children. We'd definitely come again next summer. Ellen was great and very generous with multiple suggestions for activities and food options in the area. Thx!

Amazing Property

The location is amazing. Views are best in Maine. We rented Kayaks that were delivered and picked up from dock. We rented a 22 foot boat and kept at deep water dock. Host was excellent. Provided restaurant recommendations, Kayak rental numbers, had lobster delivered to the house. She is great. Will definitely rent again

A favorite family vacation!

We hated to say goodbye to our stay here! This was the perfect spot for our large family and age ranges. The views are the best that we have every experienced at a rental home. Ellen was outstanding in her communication with us and was extremely helpful with her recommendations on restaurants, activities, etc. The outside cooking area was key to our meals - complete with the grill, griddle. lobster pot and picnic tables. We rented a boat for the week and enjoyed having the convenience of our own dock. We had a few toddlers and 5 year olds in our party and they loved the play house, child size Adirondack chairs, and the lawn to romp around on. We couldn't have been happier and plan to book this property again!

A TRULY MAINE COTTAGE EXPERIENCE

This cottage and property holds a very special place in my families heart! We have stayed here several times over the past 10 years and it is like coming home when we walk through the door. The views are spectacular, the house is clean and beautifully decorated, it is well outfitted and extremely comfortable. The wild life is awesome and every day is a wonderful experience. Ellen, the owner is kind and generous with her time and advise and is only an email away if you have a question. She knows many wonderful places to eat around the area as well. I highly recommend this outstanding cottage to anyone who truly wants a special Maine experience.

Multi Generational Family Vacation

The house and location were perfectly suited for our family. Pictures of the property and views can not capture the real beauty. Wiscasset and Boothes Bay Harbor were great for dining and shopping. Ellen supplied us with excellent recommendations for local dining and activities including a top notch fishing guide who picked us up at the pier on the property. We cooked breakfast on the large outdoor gas griddle, had s,mores around the fire pit and ate several meals outside including our Maine lobster and clam boil. The house well equipped to handle the ten adults and children in our family. Thank you Dana and Ellen.

The Best Summers of My life

The house has the best view on the island. Every morning I wake up to watch the seals play on the rocks below. The birds play in front of the windows as if they where putting on a show. Afterward I like to make breakfast and the kitchen is stocked with everything I need. All the kids like to play outside because there is plenty of ocean front land for outdoor games and picnics. This house is perfect location for exploring Maine. Booth Bay Harbor is a quick drive north and there are many wonderful towns in between to visit. All the bedrooms are unique and comfortable. They all have lots of light and fresh Maine air. There is lots of room for a large family to spread out along the house. The large front porch is my favorite for cocktail hour. At the end of a big lobster dinner my family always makes a big fire on the point to watch the boats come in and end our day truly relaxed. This house has it all!

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME

We have been forturate enough to stay in this wonderful cottage, 8 times, in the past 9 years. It is our favorite place to go and relax. The views are breathtaking. The home is comfortable, charming, clean, beautifully decorated with antiques and beachy cottage furniture & decorations. The wildlifeat the house is wonderful, from the Seals on the ledges to the Cormorants, wild Turkeys, Geese, Eagles, Cardinals, Jays and other small birds. We have even had the pleasure of seeing Deer, Beaver & a Porcupine! We especially like to have a fire in the outside pit, during the cocktail hour, watching the Lobstermen hauling in their daily catch. The fresh Lobsters are wonderful! The house is well outfitted with everything you need, especially in the kitchen. There is room for everyone to have some privacy. The sun room off the kitchen is my favorite spot, to just sit and enjoy this quintessential Maine experience!! The owner, Ellen, is wonderful. She responds quickly to all questions and is friendly and kind. Onc you speak to her you wil feel like you have known her forever. We already have 2015 dates booked!

Great Property!

We had a great stay here, a reunion of old friends. Great fires, a variety of weather, beautiful view, useable dock for a dinghy or smaller vessel, and all that's needed for a steaming lobsters and clams/mussels. A car is very helpful for trips to markets, restaurants, and other destinations.

Lovely setting

The house provides so many different places for kids to play and well-spaced-out rooms that allow for privacy. The setting is gorgeous--on the water, you can watch the tides from the bay window in the living room (but the seals are too far to see without binoculars, so bring your own). And a hummingbird visits the feeder on the window regularly. The only tiny thing is that you are 20 minutes from a store, so stock up on staples on the way in. Ellen was wonderfully available by text andinstantly responsive. The grounds are varied and beautiful, very well-kept.

10/10 This is a relaxed, laid back house is perfect for a group of good friends or family to spend a week in Maine. The view is breathtaking and located on a quiet road you can enjoy walking off your lobster each morning. If you cook, the house is pretty well equipped and located close to all the shops you need. Best of all the host is absolutely spectacular and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views

My husband had a legal convention which brought our family to Maine. Ellen is an exceptional host. She texted me throughout my stay ti make sure I did not need anything throughout our stay. The home was spotless which I appreciated since I’m a huge germaphobe. I loved to have coffee in the sun room in the mornings and wine in the evening at the fire pit outside while my children ate s’mores. We had an incredible stay!!! We will surely be back to this very spacious home.
