Les maisons de vacances Stewarts House sont une conversion de grange comprenant Coach et Stable, située à la périphérie de l'ancien village de Week St Mary avec sa jolie église, son magasin communautaire et son bureau de poste, son pub, ses terrains de jeux et son parc de jeux pour enfants. Situé sur une colline en direction de Bude et de la côte atlantique, vous pouvez profiter d'une paix et d'une tranquillité complètes, d'une belle campagne, d'un trafic limité et d'un ciel nocturne sans pollution lumineuse.

Coach Cottage dispose de 3 chambres au rez-de-chaussée; un double avec lavabo, un jumeau et une chambre avec lits superposés (2'6 lits superposés).
Stable Cottage dispose de 3 chambres, une double avec lavabo et lits superposés au rez-de-chaussée et un lit superposé au premier étage. Les couchettes ont une largeur de 3 pi. Cottage stable a un canapé-lit double si nécessaire.
Chaque chalet a une douche / wc blanc au rez-de-chaussée avec un espace de vie décloisonné au premier étage. Les plafonds avec poutres apparentes donnent un bon espace et de la lumière au premier étage avec vue rurale depuis un petit balcon. Les deux ont des cuisines bien équipées avec cuisinières électriques, micro-ondes et sous le réfrigérateur avec de petits compartiments de congélation. Chacun a une table à manger pour 6, un canapé confortable et WIFI. Des informations sur les vacances sont disponibles pour vous aider à planifier votre semaine de vacances.
Les chalets partagent un patio orienté ouest chacun avec des meubles de jardin, un jardin clos orienté est, un bon parking sur place et une salle de jeux avec tennis de table et un billard. Le lave-linge est également installé dans la salle de jeux.

A lovely stay in a beautiful area

Week St Mary is a lovely, welcoming village. Our hosts Gaynor and Simon were very nice, and our family, including our dog, was made to feel welcome. The back garden is safe and enclosed, which was perfect for our dog. I would have preferred a softer bed, and the bathroom is pretty basic but more than adequate for our small family’s needs, but otherwise the cottage was comfy and the balcony was lovely to step out on in the morning with a coffee to listen to the birds over a beautiful view of the countryside. Overall we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed exploring the local surroundings, including some stunning woodland and coastal walks.

Small & cosy

Set in a nice quite village, 15 minutes to the beach, and further shops/ amenities. Lovely countryside walks on your doorstep. Check in time is quite late and check out quite early, we would’ve enjoyed a bit more either side, but the hosts do try to accommodate where possible. Overall would stay again but only as my singular family rather than extended as it was a little tight for us as a couple, my father and my sister. The rooms were well maintained but the mattress a little hard for my liking. Overall, place and location is lovely and cosy and with beautiful views, as I said would stay again as a singular family.

One week in week St Mary

Spent one week here saturday to saturday. We had a fantastic week travelling round north cornwall. Would highly recommend going to boscastle, tintagel and if you dont mind driving then looe is absolutely stunning. The accomadtion itself is lovely and clean with a fantastic view from the upstairs balcony. The kitchen is fantastic and well equipped for everything you need. The walled garden is amazing and beautiful and fantastic if you have dogs. The pub is 15 minutes away but its hit and miss if they are serving food or not. Gaynor the owner of the property was absolutly fantastic.

Secluded little piece of heaven

We stayed from 11th to 18th Sept 2021, 3 generations aged 19 to 60something! The views are amazing!!! We have a gorgeous shot of the sunset through the 1st floor lounge balcony doors. The walled garden a huge bonus for our dog with no recall! So thumbs up from him too! Plenty of patio furniture plus a large BBQ for each cottage. Cottage was clean and well equipped. Smaller bedrooms were a little cramped, but hey u only use them for sleeping so that really doesn't matter. Bathroom was a squeeze I'll b honest but power was amazing. Comfy spacious lounge with room for littluns to play. Kitchen was very well equipped. Washing machine in the barn next door and a fantastic touch with a pool table and table tennis meant some competitive evenings too! The drive to cottage is not for the faint hearted...some VERY narrow lanes, steep hills and a switchback or two....but the cottage is well worth it, and the views on the way in are beautiful. Highly recommended....we will be booking again that's for sure. Thanks for a fantastic break.

Lovely cottage!

Me, my sister and mum stayed at Coach Cottage for a week. The property is lovely, with a very spacious living room and small kitchen upstairs. The bedrooms are all downstairs (which was great as we didn’t have to drag cases upstairs!!). As mentioned by previous reviewers, the shower room is tiny but the shower is very powerful and it was fine for a week. We had a bedroom each and although only 2’6” wide I can confirm that an adult can sleep in the bunk bed (as I’m 5’10 and was quite comfortable in the bottom bunk!). The owners were always on hand although we only needed to disturb them once (the frozen peas were very handy thanks Gaynor!). The outside area where the parking is could do with a light as it is very dark at night but that’s just personal preference. Also there are three parking spaces but if you have a large car it might be difficult manoeuvring if there is already a car parked. Overall though we had a great time and will definitely be back again next year!

Lovely cottage, very quite location. Community shop/post office within walking distance. Saw a Fish & Chip van near the shop on Thursday evening but local pub not open. We are hoping to visit again in the near future.

Excellent, quiet ideal location

On arrival was met by Gaynor who is an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble and after our initial meeting where she explained everything she left us to get on with our holiday but if we needed her she was on hand. Property was fantastic, absolutely everything you could need, so cosy and quiet with the sound of birdsong the only noise. Great mattress so had wonderful comfy sleeps. WiFi always available, CD player, plenty games & books if you fancy a quiet day at home (it felt like our own home) So many places to visit within a 50 mile radius and beautiful widemouth Bay just 5 miles away then to come back to the cottage in the evening for a peaceful rest. The shower is so powerful it almost blows you away it's fantastic. Heating so cosy incase of cold days/evenings. I can't rate this cottage and the owners highly enough in fact we loved it so much we're returning again next year. We are a family of 3 generations ranging from 31 - 87 booked for 2 weeks in September and had great weather the second week. The private walled garden out the back is ideal for relaxing and a bonus of an apple tree with delicious juicy sweet fruit. Games room attached to building had a pool table and table tennis, there's also a freezer for more space if needed and an excellent washing machine, clothes can be dried on 2 whirlygigs in back courtyard. There's also 2 bbq's with fuel included for your use. Outside dining tables front & back of cottage. We had the best holiday in a long time.

A beautiful clean, well appointed stone cottage set on the rural Cornwall/Devon border with tremendous views from the terrace. Gaynor was the perfect host - available on arrival and for any questions during the stay whilst discreet to allow us to relax in the accommodation. We would all like to return.

As advertised. Nice little property in quiet location, but not too far from Bude and local beaches etc. Great host, friendly and helpful on arrival, nearby if needed, happy to leave us in peace - which suited us fine!

Delightful little gem

Stayed here for a week, family of 5. What a little gem, loads of character and very welcoming. Waking up to a fantastic view every morning, open countryside and birds singing away sets the day off nicely. Gaynor and Simon couldn't do enough, ensuring everything was to our satisfaction, and giving us plenty of tips on the local attractions and the village community facilities. We spent every day out and about, and when we got back to the Coach House, nothing could beat the peace and quiet, looking out from the balcony, with just the birds singing away, no roaring of cars or loud music... Thank you Gaynor for a wonderful week, and for allowing us to share the delights of the Coach House and grounds.

We have lived at Stewarts House running our cottages since 2000, having moved with our then young children from Sussex. It's a fantastic place to live and we feel privileged to be able to enjoy Cornwall all through the different seasons. We hope to offer guests an unspoiled part of Cornwall that we never take for granted.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Stewarts House is our home and we welcome guests to share and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this hidden part of Cornwall. When we first viewed the house, we were struck by the far reaching views stretching out across the valley towards Bude Bay. It is stunning and visitors always stop to admire the panoramic view.
The cottages are situated in the grounds of our house and were converted from a stone built barn. Although we are in a rural village, we are fortunate to have a community run shop and post office and a community hall offering events and entertainment. There is a football pitch with local games and childrens play park with small skateboard ramp. The village was awarded Cornwall Village of the year 2009 by Calor Gas and has often been praised for its strong community spirit.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Stewarts House Holiday Cottages are only a 2 minutes walk from the village centre where you can buy all your provisions, especially freshly baked bread from our local baker and the daily newspaper. Taking a peaceful morning stroll to buy your breakfast provisions is all part of the fun. In the spring time, the hedgerows are alive with colour and we have dark skies at night with no light pollution. Our roads are quiet even in the high season period, you shouldn't get too caught up in the crowds and we are only a 10-15 minute drive to our local beaches. A friendly welcome and onsite help when needed, good accommodation ( to a three star standard), plenty of space, onsite parking, peace and tranquility are what we can offer at Stewarts House Holiday Cottage.
