Centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills! Casa de Paz or Peaceful House. Walking distance to new Publix grocery store, restaurants and activities like putt-putt. Spend your days at the beach or cooking out in the spacious backyard. Well-suited for a large family or multiple households vacationing together. One of the very few streets with pedestrian crosswalks that ensures safe crossing to the public beach access while also offering the quiet sound side neighborhood.

The ground floor is not available to guests.

The cottage has a rear deck overlooking a large backyard. The yard is not fenced. We have added seating on the deck to enjoy time or dinner outside. Walk to the backyard to play corn hole or swing in the hammock.

Family vacation

Location was great. Easy walk to beach, grocery store, and putt putt. Home was big and spacious for our family of 8 and pups.

Great place

We had 9 people (5 adults, 4 kids) and had enough room, but pushing it with 4 kids. We knew the size of the place going in, so by no means a complaint. But if you have that many people and prefer to spread out more, keep that in mind. The back deck could use some updating, it’s definitely showing its age but the house itself was great, clean.The owner was very responsive. We were happy with the location as well.

Excellent Rental!

This property was everything we needed for our party of 8! It was clean and nicely decorated. We really appreciated that there were plenty of beach towels, extra pillows and blankets, and all the kitchen appliances we could possibly need. We also enjoyed using the outdoor game. The location was great with only a short, easy walk to the beach. The host was very helpful and responsive. The only negative was that only 2 trash bags and 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided for such a large party. We knew we may have to purchase more, but 2 of each was very minimal for the price. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation stay and we would definitely book again!

Great location

This was a great location, the home was clean with spacious entertaining space for our family of 9. I wish they had another bathroom so that we didn't have to share a bathroom with our children (lol) but that's out of their control. We did run out of trash bags. Once we used what was already provided in the can there we couldn't find any more. Other than that it was an amazing stay. They have everything in the kitchen that you would need to cook. If you are going to be traveling with more than 5-6 people make sure that you bring extra washcloths as there weren't enough.

The Perfect Comfort

This was a beautiful home close to the beach! The home had just enough room for everyone to have their own space after being together all day. Host was prompt to respond and answer any questions we had. Will definitely be returning and telling family and friends of the home. If anything, I would suggest making sure you bring toiletries. Overall a great place to vacation.

Clean & Comfortable Home

We enjoyed our stay in this home. The house was clean. The living area and bedrooms were spacious and comfortable for our family of seven. The neighborhood area was safe and near to the beach and other attractions. The host was responsive and friendly.

Location and clean

Property was very close to the beach and Publix grocery store. Kitchen is very important to our family since we traveled with younger kids. Owners were well stocked with good quality kitchen pans and dishes. Thanks

Beach vacation

We came for the 4th of July with a group of 7 of us. The place was only a 12 min walk to the beach and having Publix across the street was great. The house had all the basic necessities.

Home away from home!

We had enjoyed staying at Casa De Paz. It is cozy and comfortable place to stay. A home away from home for a family with little kids! Very good location and easy access to beach.

Cozy, Clean & Comfortable

We had a brief weekend stay at Caza De Paz. Easy to find, down the street from groceries - super convenient. From the minute we walked in we felt a welcoming, cozy, clean vibe. All the necessities from home. Comfortable beds, everything was super clean! Only a few negatives, can’t really walk to the beach as it’s on the other side of the highway. Would have loved to have had at least one full length mirror, the downstairs was not open and accessible and backyard although clean, the hammock was old stretched out and not able to use. Would have loved if it was fenced in so our dogs had free run to play. Other than that we had a great time, felt safe and everything was updated and within mins of everything we needed. Highly recommend for the price! Thank you!

Good family vacation

House was very clean and close to everything (Food Lion open 24/7, mini golf and the beach!). Cleaning supplies were limited, but owner brought more. Great house for the price!

OBX Vacation

For the price the house was small. I believe once they finish the basement it will be much nicer. Outside furniture was dirty and the back deck is small for the amount of people you can have in the house. The grill requires charcoal which is not the easiest thing to cook on for a large group it really needs another bathroom or at least a half bath. Location was great for us. The host was very quick to answer any of our questions. Just wish there was more to the house for entertaining. and to be able to spread out more

Great Property for Our Needs

Great property for our family vacation. The location was walking distance to the beach, grocery store, and mini golf course. Plenty of towels were provided, including beach towels, which was great. Easy to clean up with a hose out front and outdoor shower in the back. We spent most of our time outside of the house (at the beach, around OBX, etc.), however, everything we needed was found in the house.

Wonderful vacation home!

Beautiful, clean home in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything! If you are concerned about the distance to the beach (I was) let me put your mind at ease. It's well within walking distance, even with an 8 year old after a day in the ocean. Cannot recommend enough!!

Fine for short stay

The house was clean and sheets and towels were provided. The house is much smaller than expected and you have no access to garage or anywhere to store any beach equipment brought with you. The location is convenient to Publix and the main drive in town and the mini golf right there was great. A bit longer walk to the beach bc you have to cross the Main Street. The neighborhood is mostly full time residents and not many rentals so felt a bit out of place and some of the surrounding houses were not great. The yard of the property also needs better maintenance. The grass was quite long and there were a lot of bugs. There is also an electrical cord running from the box in the yard through the backyard and into the house which is peculiar and not safe to play around so basically unusable. The “grill” on property is laughable and unusable as well. The grill has a spatula that has been sitting outside with it for so long that it is now rusted to the grill. The kitchen in this house needs some improvement. The knives were awful so dull you could barely slice a tomato and no way to sharpen them. No scissors and lacking several other essentials. The washing machine is in the kitchen and main living area and is extremely loud, hard to watch a movie or hangout when it is running. There is only one tub in the house and there is no stopper for it so had to shove a wash cloth in it to bath the kids. The house needs some more updates but it worked enough for our short stay.

The stay was fine other then finding a dead roach in the livingroom that I had no problem with. Until the owner wanted to charge me $150 for 2 towels being dirty which could of been washed with the sheets by the cleaning lady and being told the bathroom smelt like cigarettes which no one in my party smokes and if I did why would I chose to do it in the bathroom. So just watch this lady dont try to get extra money off you but the place was overall alright

Wonderful Long Weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend in OBX to visit my brother and his wife, shop and eat! Staying at Casa De Paz was perfect. The location and an the overall condition and decor was excellent.

Enjoyed our Labor Day weekend

We had a nice stay here for a group of 6 adults over the long weekend. It is conveniently located about 10 minutes from the beach, and also very close to the grocery store (basically across the street). Kitchen was fairly well stocked, although we did have to purchase a few things that were completely out or running low when we got there (dishwasher detergent and trash bags). Otherwise had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend at the beach.

OBX Dream Vacation

Thank you Maria! Our family of 6 had a wonderful, relaxing, beautiful vacation in OBX. This “house of peace” is a true treasure. Warm, inviting and beautifully decorated. Very clean with all needed amenities and perfect location. Central to shopping, grocery, and the beach! We enjoyed days in the water, kayaking, exploring the national seashore, and making memories to last a lifetime. My husband and sons loved the proximity to the Wright Brothers Memorial and Kitty Hawk. Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head were great locations, excellent local restaurants and we felt very safe in this area. Highly recommend this property, communication was timely, friendly, and easy. Thank you again for a great experience!

Walking Distance to Fun

Good, clean property with plenty of amenities. Very easy to walk to putt putt, the grocery store, etc and a fairly short walk to the beach. The host was easy to work with and quick to respond during our stay
