À propos de cet hébergement

Profitez de cette belle maison de poteaux et poutres construite en 1990 nichée dans les bois dans une retraite privée de cinq acres. Cette maison a des plafonds cathédrale, planchers de bois franc partout, un plan d'étage ouvert avec beaucoup de fenêtres. La chambre au premier étage a un lit queen-size et une vue à travers les bois jusqu'à l'eau. Il y a un demi-bain au premier étage. Montez à l'étage pour un loft spacieux et privé avec deux lits jumeaux et une salle de bain complète. Regardez le changement de l'eau sur cette crique de marée (changement de marée de 11 pieds). Nagez à marée haute au large des rebords de granit et profitez de promenades à marée basse le long du littoral. Votre séjour comprend tous les draps et serviettes de bain.

Il est important d'arriver à votre location de vacances sans grande surprise, alors laissez-moi vous en dire un peu plus sur l'endroit.

La maison est de 1200 pieds carrés, située à 1/2 mile sur un chemin de terre. Vous ne pouvez pas voir une autre maison de notre maison. Il y a une laveuse / sécheuse mais pas un lave-vaisselle. Il y a un lecteur DVD / VHS mais pas de chaînes de télévision régulières. Il y a un téléphone pour les appels locaux mais pas de connexion Internet à la maison. Il y a un chauffage Rinnai à air chaud forcé, ainsi qu'un poêle à bois. L'eau n'est qu'à 120 pieds du pont. À marée haute, il y a 11 pieds d'eau et à marée basse, il y a des vasières. La ville d'Ellsworth est à 9,6 km et possède 2 grandes épiceries, des magasins, des films et des restaurants.

Nos locations se déroulent du samedi au samedi.

Nous avons une limite de 4 personnes dormant à la maison, et nous n'acceptons pas les animaux.

Le parc national d'Acadia est un trésor à explorer. La région de la péninsule Schoodic en Acadie est plus éloignée, moins fréquentée, mais tout aussi spectaculaire que la région de l'île Mount Desert. Cette maison de location est à 30 minutes en voiture de chacun de ces emplacements du parc national d'Acadia.

Everything about this property is perfect! Tucked away in the trees away from all the hustle and bustle of the town is a perfect cabin. The cabin was clean when we arrived! Had no problem communicating with the owner. We had a wonderful experience!

Waterfront Gem

The charm of this place is off the hook. Their water access is awesome. If Acadia wasn't so close, we might have spent most of our time at the house. And you don't have to enter Acadia to see wildlife, as it comes through the backyard all on it's own. This place was truly heaven and we can't wait to go back.

A Maine Bit Of Heaven

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. It was like having your own nature reserve with the ebb and flow of the tides, abundant wildlife, deep quiet and dark night skies. It is conveniently located to Acadia, Blue Hill and the Schoodic Peninsula, so there are plenty of places to experience Maine at its best. The house is perfect and comfortable with many useful and thoughtful touches. Kudos to the owners for providing virtually everything we needed. Imagine a vacation rental with sharp knives and non-stick pans that functioned. If we could, we would rate it 6 out of 5.

Perfect getaway

We loved staying at Cathy’s place. The location was perfect for exploring and for enjoying some tranquility. Schoodic Peninsula/ Mt. Desert Isle

If you want nearly equal travel time between the Schoodic Peninsula and Mt. Desert Isle this is the place. That aside the quite location is world class both far enough and close enough to resteraunts and shopping.The cottage is clean conveint and well stocked. If you are looking for hustle and bustle this is not the place for you on the other hand you want seclusion and quite look no further. Highly recomended.

Idyllic spot surrounded by natural beauty

We had a wonderful time at Cathy's lovely cottage. We relaxed on the deck watching the jade green water flowing into the inlet and listening to the bird song. The welcome gift was thoughtful and tasteful, as were all the touches in the cottage such as Meyer's hand soap, Burt's Bees shampoo and an excellent range of games and books. We loved every moment of our stay and will return again and again!

Loved it!

Wonderful location, very peaceful and quiet, the deer were a joy to watch. Cathy and Rick were wonderful, they prepared us ahead of time in the event the power went out due to the storm, overall great communication. The location is perfect, it’s right in between MDI (Acadia/Bar Harbor) and Scoodic, do not overlook Scoodic and Winter Harbor. Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you, Dave & Kat

Amazing family getaway!

This was our first family vacation in years and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation! The cabin was in the perfect location, secluded but close enough to town and Acadia National Park to explore! The cabin was well equipped with all items we needed which made our stay that much more relaxing. I was even able to make my son a birthday cake! The deck and view was amazing as well! My children truly enjoyed the cabin and asked often if we could “stay forever”! Thank you Rick and Cathy for such a beautiful cabin for our vacation and we look forward to returning in the future!

Peaceful and Perfectly Placed

Our family (including kids ages 10 and 15) usually camps but decided to treat ourselves and upgrade our accommodations when we visited the Acadia region. This spot was perfect for us -- all the amenities we needed to be comfortable and a location that was a perfect jumping off point for exploring the area. We spent several days combing through Acadia National Park and also ventured further inland. Each day, we were happy to return home and relax on the deck or read and play games inside. After the hustle and bustle of the park and Bar Harbor, we appreciated the peaceful setting and relative quiet of this property. We hope to visit Acadia again in the coming years and wouldn't hesitate to return to this property, with our without our kids.

Great location

We loved our stay here. We spent most of our time in Acadia. The location to the park was convenient. The house was secluded, and the view of the water was nice. We had lunch out, and took advantage of the kitchen, and made dinner at the house. It was nice to have access to the washer and dryer. The house was even nicer than I anticipated. We enjoyed the wood burning stove. We also watched several of the DVD’s they had available. We also rented one from the red box at the grocery store. The house was very clean, and well stocked with anything you would need. I would recommend it to anyone coming to the area. We would love to return, and stay here again.

Perfection!

We had the most incredible stay at the house! Arriving was simple and after a long drive, the view of the water and the picture perfect cabin was most welcome! As others have mentioned the pictures do not do this place justice! The views are great - watching the tides come and in and out was a neat experience. We saw turkeys, deer, cute chipmunks, a heron, and an osprey flying overhead. We rented kayaks and the trek to the water and back was doable. When the tide is in, the water is incredibly calm. The kitchen is well equipped- we made breakfasts and dinner most days/evenings. We spent a lot of time playing games in the evenings. My son was excited that the WiFi worked. We spent most days hiking and had an incredible run of good weather - only one rainy day! Easy access to both parts of Acadia! We would not hesitate to come back!!!

Absolutely wonderful!!

This place is exactly what I pictured for my family to enjoy our trip to Maine! It is close enough to be convenient for grocery needs, gas, door dashers and attractions like Bar Harbor and Acadia, but the secluded spot lets you feel like you are miles away from your stresses. The house was very clean and well stocked. Any little odds or ends we may have forgotten were there. There were also decks of cards, board games and puzzles to do with the kids. My kids loved that they got to sleep in the loft and having a bathroom up there was convenient! My favorite thing to do at the house sit on the back deck or lay in the hammock and watch the tides while listening to the birds chirping and the wind whispering through the pines. Stress just melted away! Our hostess was very knowledgeable and easy to get ahold of. She provided great information on the area, suggestions on what we could go see, where we could rent kayaks, and answered any questions I had. We loved our stay and highly recommend this home for anyone planning to visit Maine!

Tranquility

When we seen the property, on-line, it seemed almost too good to be true. When we arrived we were blown away. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online, especially the privacy. Enjoyed the goody basket, fresh flowers, and the complimentary Acadia NP map (very useful). The house was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Location was the most impressive thing about the rental. Close to Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, multiple grocery stores, and restaurants. After a full day of hiking and sightseeing in Acadia and Bar Harbor it was so nice to come back to the house and just relax, unwind, and enjoy the tranquility. Can not thank the owners enough for opening their home to us. They went above and beyond to make our week comfortable and memorable.
