Maison sur mesure à un étage nichée parmi des chênes centenaires au cœur d'un Quarter Horse Ranch en activité. Plus de 3500 pieds carrés d'espace comprenant des planchers de brique et de bois franc, des plafonds en poutres en cèdre sur mesure dans une grande pièce, un porche et un moustiquaire dans le porche arrière que vous adorerez. Cette maison construite sur mesure entourée de briques de Chicago et d'un toit en tuiles offre une vue sur l'extérieur. Salon à l'intérieur ou salon à l'extérieur. Allongez-vous au bord de la piscine ou contemplez les poulains et leurs mamans dans les pâturages entourant la maison au bord du lac de 1 1/2 po. Absolutely Gorgeous

We loved our girls weekend away. This place was beautiful and peaceful. Only a 15 minute drive from Canton too. We had a blast. I highly recommend this retreat and look forward to returning again soon.

Very relaxing and excellent getaway. The only fault to this place would be that it only has one shower and could not use the bathtubs because of my age.

Wonderful Stay

Quiet and peaceful. I don't normally sleep well on trips, just to much noise and light most of the time. This trip I slept almost as good as I do at home. The sunrises on the back porch were beautiful. We had a lovely time and it was a wonderful to come back to the big soaking tub at the end of a long day. This property has a very lived in homey feel, which we loved but might not be for everyone. We felt that this home represented the pleasures of ranch life without the work of ranch life.

The setting was gorgeous. The host was responsive and easy to work with. The home was large with comfy beds. Some suggestions to make future guest experiences pleasant: remove personal items & décor, remove personal items from the refrigerator, make sure appliances are clean, cut down on decorative clutter, repair holes in walls, floors and ceilings, give the home a good top to bottom cleaning to remove cobwebs, dirt and dust.

Attention Needed!!!

Rented to attend First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX. The view and sunrises were beautiful while sipping our coffee on the back screened patio. The house was roomy for 6 adults (3 couples). We enjoyed the rustic ranch house feel. The pool was refreshing. And the beds were comfortable. Owner answered all questions quickly. However, we encountered wasps; leaves and algae in pool; afternoon visit from white dog and horses; had mice and spiders in house. House needs some attention. Restaurants in area to try: The Kickin Mule, DownHome Cafe, and Easley Steakhouse in Canton.

Fantastic Ranch Retreat!

We just got back from a stay at the Ranch Retreat over the 4th. The house itself is great - it is very well decorated (just like the pictures) and had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. We spent a good deal of time outside swimming, playing the new cornhole game and best of all....petting the foals! There are horses everywhere and the babies come right up to the fence to be pet. If you love horses, this is the place for you! We enjoyed watching them from the pool. We also hung out on the screened porch. It was very relaxing and laid back. We cooked all of our meals on the property which worked out just fine. We drove to Canton one day which was about 25 min away from the house. Morgan, the property owner, is super responsive and very helpful. He answered all of my questions in a timely manner and was very accomodating. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend it!!

I was unable to stay at this home even though I had paid to do so.

I was only at this property for about 3 hours and had to leave because my husband's health was deteriorating (he had to stay behind in Kansas) and was being considered for hospitalization, (which happened the next day). I left to stay with other family members at a location closer to my son's wedding that I had planned to attend. I had no vehicle and was unable to drive back and forth to this remote location. I don't feel comfortable rating this property since I was unable to stay here, but this process requires me to give a number rating to complete. The listing was accurate to the pictures but I didn't understand that the only shower was in the pantry area off of the kitchen (which would have been very unfortunate if all of my 4-6 people would have stayed here. The owner did respond to me the evening when I arrived, but did so the day after I called. The evening I arrived I was afraid of the hornets, wasps or "dirt dobbers" that seemed to have a nest in the light outside of the front door or roofing. The insects kept flying in as I tried to enter the property, and I was afraid of being stung as I tried to bring in my luggage. There was no storm door or way to keep the bugs out as I entered as it was dark and the lights were all on inside and outside of the house. The owners were understanding of my family's unfortunate illness and inability to stay at the property as we had hoped. I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed the pool and the remote country setting. The house has a lot of unique charm.

Quiet relaxing ranch house

We had a great time at this location near Terrell TX - it’s quiet, roomy, and relaxing. We all enjoyed the pool, playing games on the screened in porch, and coffee in the morning watching the horses and cows. We even had an opportunity to feed carrots to some horses which my youngest daughter loved. Great communication with the owners, it was a fun relaxing get away - thanks!

Wonderful country getaway

First Monday Trade Days Travelers

This beautiful place was perfect for longtime friends to get together and enjoy a long weekend! There are many spaces for sharing a meal, visiting snd relaxing. Morgan was quick to get back with us whenever we had any questions! Loved the very eclectic decorating! The countryside is breathtaking and the beautiful horses were such a joy to watch through the large back windows, or screened porch. There was a very happy colt frolicking around the field putting on a show (we felt, just for us) Thanks for the great memories that we were able to make as we visited and shopped during the First Monday Trade Days in Canton.!

Loved our time in the country

What a lovely place to stay! We LOVED drinking coffee and annoying the day on the back porch. Our 1 y/o loved the horses and foal and the friendly dogs that greeted us. Morgan was so easy to get ahold of and answered all of our questions. Would love to stay again if we are ever in the area!

East Texas Charming Retreat

Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh baked assorted bundt cakes and if you can imagine the scents of happiness, love and positive energy that is what we experienced so we were pleased from the start! Amazing open air views with horses as the backdrop. Coming from Silicon Valley after months of stay at home orders it was a breath of fresh air and we were delighted with our stay. Morgan was available when needed and very helpful with tips for the area. My daughter loved making smores under the stars over the fire pit!

Most wonderful location for a gettaway

We had the most wonderful time. The check-in process was really uncomplicated and the house has everything that is needed. The pool is very nice and we even got to see the horses very closely. All in all a wonderful place for a getaway, which gave us wonderful memories.
