The living areas in this property consist of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, a dining area and sitting area with Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of two king-size rooms, there is also a ground-floor shower room. Outside there is a large garden with patio, furniture, outdoor woodburning stove and hot tub, there is also off-road parking for two cars. Within 0.8 miles there is a shop and pub. Two well-behaved pets welcome, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, power, fuel, starter for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Top Hill Farm is perfectly located for a holiday to the Peak District. Note: There is secure bike storage available.

Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Town: Located just north of Sheffield in the Peak District, Oughtibridge is a lovely village. Oughtibridge has a village shop, four pubs, takeaways, cafes, and a restaurant, all surrounded by beautiful countryside. During the middle of June, the village hosts a huge and spectacular gala, making it a great time to visit for Carnival enthusiasts. In the immediate area, there are a number of beautiful walks, such as those up Jawbone Hill, which offers stunning views of Sheffield and the surrounding countryside, as well as the Peak District National Park, which is a haven for nature lovers.

Amazing views

We booked this property because of the views and it did not disappoint on arrival. Owner very friendly and available if needed. This property is very dog friendly which we particularly liked. Our hot tub’s positioning was perfect. There were no restrictions on when we could use it. We were able to alter the temperature manually and were never chilly; always toasty warm. On the evening of the summer solstice we were in there until gone midnight under the full orange moon and stars. There is ample garden furniture. Our cottage can also be hired with the other property set slightly back for family groups requiring accommodation for up to 10. Sadly we had to leave today, but feel extremely relaxed and de-stressed. I’m sure we’ll be back with family.
