Set in the tranquil countryside with beautiful open panoramic views over the green hills and the sea, Vista Serena is a very spacious air conditioned 5-bedroom villa in Madeira with a superb leisure area that includes a games room, barbecue room and long front garden with lovely swimming pool, the perfect place for socialising during the day and evening.
As you enter the villa you pass the work desk corner into the air-conditioned open plan living area with dining table, sofas and the fully equipped kitchen.
Off this area are the spacious Master bedroom and en-suite bathroom and two other double bedrooms, all of which offer air conditioning and views over the tranquil countryside to the sea. A family bathroom is also available in this floor. The other two air-conditioned bedrooms, and a second shared bathroom, both opening to front garden are on the floor below.
On the lower ground floor is also the great leisure space consisting of the large games room (where you also find the single bed for the 11th person), with billiard table, PlayStation 4 and seating, a fully equipped barbecue room, and picture window doors opening to the front terrace, featuring outdoor dining, the pool deck with sun loungers and that lovely optionally heated swimming pool, that you can enjoy whilst overlooking the rolling green hills and the sea.
In the tranquil countryside around VistaSerena you can find some small snack-bars and mini-markets, perfect for the morning bread, a few groceries or a quick coffee. The village of Prazeres is a mere 3 Km away and offers a greater selection of restaurants, a supermarket and medical centre.
VistaSerena is perfectly located for walking in Madeira with access to levadas running nearby and various walking trails, as well as Madeira's majestic mountains with their beautiful landscapes and hiking trails.

It is 10 Km to the resort town of Calheta, with its man-made golden sandy beach. Here you will, find a selection of cafés, restaurants, a larger supermarket, the marina (boat trips can be arranged), banks and a chemist.
A 15-minute drive will take you to either of the two surfing meccas of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, at sea level and with trendy café-bars (try the caipirinhas and mojitos).
Vista Serena is a great option for those seeking walking in Madeira. There are various levadas and trails nearby that provide great walks, and access to the mountains and hiking trails is easy.
Funchal is an easy 45-minute's drive and the airport one hour's drive along the motorway.

The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 500€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday and holiday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
The payment of a Tourist Tax has been implemented for all arriving visitors on or after 01 October 2024 across all of Madeira and Porto Santo by the local Municipalities.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:
Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.
When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes) keep on the right hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava – Ponta do Sol.
The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1,4Km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel and you will now carry on for 3,9Km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.
At the end of the tunnel you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit , signposted Ponta do Sol and drive through another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel.
At the end of this tunnel you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left you will find a petrol station and mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km.
At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharp right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta).
At the roundabout (1,6Km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, drive through the next tunnel for 1,8Km.
Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calheta and through another tunnel until you reach the Calheta roundabout (2,5Km).
Go straight across (2nd exit) , signposted Prazeres (don’t turn left into Calheta) and enter a further tunnel, driving for 2,3Km.
When reaching the next roundabout, where you will find a BP Petrol Station, take the second turnoff indicated “Prazeres” and "Mercado Agricultores".
You will pass through Tunel dos Moinhos and the Tunel Jardim Pelado.
At the roundabout (where you find a BP petrol station on your right), go straight across, following the signs for Prazeres/Mercado Agrícola.
Continue in the direction of Porto Moniz, through the Tunel Lombo da Velha.
After the tunnel, continue along until the next roundabout.
On the roundabout take the 3rd exit, signposted Trânsito Local.
Turn right as soon as you reach the first
