Cette belle villa en bord de mer de 6 chambres / 6 chambres est située dans un cadre magnifique �� quelques pas de Hope Town. Les chambres spacieuses et les salles de bains privatives sont confortables et joliment aménagées. Il y a beaucoup d'espace à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur pour que tout le monde puisse s'étendre et se détendre. Parfait pour les grands groupes ou les familles, les petits animaux domestiques sont autoris��s avec permission. Il y a même une salle de jeux entièrement équipée pour que vous puissiez vous amuser même par mauvais temps! L'emplacement au sommet de la dune donne sur une belle plage de sable blanc et des eaux cristallines. Si vous étiez plus près de l'océan, vos pieds seraient mouillés! Un bordereau de quai privé inclus avec la propriét�� peut accueillir un bateau de 28 "à 30" avec un faisceau de 10 pieds.

Reviewer Comments: Calypso – 2022Pros• Great location – convenient to dock, restaurants, town• Amazing ocean view• Nicely furnished• Beautiful landscaping• Clean• Pool • Caretaker’s support in getting us to and from the dock on arrival and departureCons• Rocky shore did not allow children to play in ocean• Broken shower in one of the bedrooms; while there was an offer to repair it halfway through our stay, the work would involve tearing out the kitchen ceiling so I declined the inconvenience.• Broken dryer• Roof leaked over living room seating when it rainedGroceriesI did not expect the groceries and liquor stores to be so limited in selections. In all fairness, even US groceries now have shortages; and we happened to be there during the Bahamian Independence day holiday, which compounded the problem. But even at Maxwell’s, we had trouble getting bread and bottled water and white rum was hard to find anywhere.

The caretaker was available for any questions and was very responsive. Only issue was it rained the whole week and when it rained we had multiple leaks on the first floor and a large puddle in the game room. Loved the upstairs family room and each bedroom had a private bath. Laundry was an added bonus and the kitchen had everything you could need

No transportation available. Long walk to boat slip especially with supplies

The house was wonderful but a golf cart should be included or at least made available for the tenantsThe golf cart rental situation on the island is impossible. We tried to rent one as soon as we secured the house but none were available. We were even willing to pay double! Based on the location of the house and boat slip, we were virtually isolated unless we walked and it was not a short distance to town and very dark at night. No taxis. Very difficult especially with children

We had a great time!

It was a perfect house of group. I had my two daughters' families including 6 teenage boys. They loved the playroom and of course the beach. The TV reception was not good. WIFI was good. I would have liked to know that we would need a lot of additonial supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc. before we arrived so we could have purchased them in Marsh Harbor. I would rent this again.

Great Beach House vacation!!

Calypso was just wonderful and it worked out perfectly for the occasion (50th anniversary celebration). The house is really well thought out. The design is simple, comfortable and maximizes all the best attributes of the location. Kudos to the decorator. We loved all the little touches in the house and the furniture (both inside and out) was exactly what it should be. Everything screams beach vacation house and that’s exactly what we were looking for! The owners clearly thought through all aspects of an Abaco trip and every piece of guidance they provided was spot on. The washer and dryer were key as was the ice maker. Everyone having there own bathroom was also a big plus. Things were perfect! Both Town and the boat slip were a quick convenient golf cart ride away and it was GREAT to have On Da Beach (Bar/restaurant) just a short walk down the beach. The house is perfectly set up and I have every hope of returning. Thanks to the owners for all the work and preparation they obviously have put in over the years to make a renter’s experience special. What must be all their cherished experiences at Calypso over the years clearly came through in our stay. We’ll always have fond memories of our visit to Calypso. Everyone in our group, from children to grandparents just flat out loved the house!

The Best Vacation!

Outstanding in every way! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay Calypso with an experience made even more special by the owners' hospitality. The beautiful home is well well planned and well appointed with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. From the beautiful ocean view and sandy beach to the spacious kitchen open living area, we could not ask for more. The setting was private and quiet, except for the soothing sounds of the waves. The access to a nearby boat slip made easy the daily adventures on the water. Elbow Cay is special - and Calypso made it perfect for us.

Awesome

What a treat! We along with five other couples stayed in this incredible house. Four of the rooms were "master suites" and the other two bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The view is breathtaking and the house was a wonderful place to entertain and cook. In fact, we enjoyed staying at the house more than we did going to the restaurants on the island.....All the amenities of home. The beach in front of the house was beautiful and deep and we felt like we were the only people on the island. It was a wonderful getaway.

Epic week at Calypso!

Words nor photos can remotely describe the joy, laughter and great times had by all of us at your Calypso Home! My son's deployment wish became a reality. All of his family and best friends spent a week of 'pura vida' in Hopetown at your Calypso 'haven'. I am SOOOOOO GLAD we chose Calypso House! It was perfect! We definitely needed the spacious living area. It's obvious you put a lot of thought when building. Every moment was cherished, whether sitting around the dining table sharing stories, having a family toast in your kitchen, or a cuban-style cigar gathering...it was epic. The sound and smells of the ocean put you in automatic relax mode. Afternoon siesta in the hammock...Priceless! Hope to be back someday! Again....THANK YOU for sharing your lovely Calypso Home with us.

Just the right big chill

Calypso is indeed purpose built for groups that like to be together sometimes and apart sometimes. We had three families including adults and young adults and were never too crowded. The house is sturdy - really quiet inside and clean and well-kept. It's beautifully positioned at the top of a dune, right on the beach and we had a constant sea breeze so the temperatures in the high 80s were always comfortable out on the deck. We rented one golf cart for the house which helped us haul gear to the boat and goods from town, otherwise everything is within a reasonable walk. The private dock was really great - no jockeying for space at the public dock and closer to the house. The caretakers met us on schedule at our ferry and were as attentive as we asked them to be. The owners answered all our questions before arrival and they encourage feedback. I sent them a few comments after our stay they responded immediately with a really nice follow up. We want to go back as soon as possible!
