Charmante retraite au bord de la rivière

Cabine historique construite dans les années 1920. Dr. Très bien, le seul médecin du comté, a utilisé la cabine comme une escapade de pêche. Le trou de pêche est situé au grand virage, juste en dessous de la fourche des fourches nord et moyenne de la rivière Smith.

Niché parmi les vieux sapins Douglas et une plage tranquille avec accès privé, cette cabine confortable a tout pour plaire!

Dans toutes les directions, vue sur la rivière Smith et la forêt nationale immaculées. Les oiseaux sont abondants! Nous sommes visités par Osprey, Kingfishers et un pygargue à tête blanche résident. La cour accueille des geais et diverses espèces d'oiseaux qui procurent des heures de plaisir aux ornithologues amateurs.

Spring Road Trip 2025

I have stayed here before and loved every minute I was there. I decided to stay a week and enjoy days hiking and exploring the Redwoods, Crescent City and a visit with my sister In Grants Pass. Having this lovely cabin as my home base was perfect. It has all the things you need to have a great trip. The owners are kind and helpful. It made a great base to have while I hiked, walked, drove through beautiful Redwoods, spent time at Crescent Beach, and ventured up to Oregon to Grants Pass and Medford. I enjoyed the stunning Smith River and waved at friendly rafters and kayakers. I could not have asked for a better time. Weather was outstanding. The cabin was warm and inviting after a day of exploring. Overall a grand time. I look forward to returning to this fantastic place.

Smith River Charm

Cozy cabin with absolutely everything you need. Just bring your food and wonderful assortment of pans and spices to cook with. Close to mountains, redwoods, hiking trails, the Smith River, and at the right time of year - waterfalls! Not as secluded as we thought it might be, but still wonderful. We felt like we had complete privacy and we also felt safe. Thank you for sharing your cabin.

Perfect Getaway

We had a long weekend and had been throwing the idea of doing the redwood national and state parks for a while. We split our trip up, one night in eureka and two nights here, and this was absolutely the highlight of the trip! We even cut some of our hiking time down to come back to the cabin and hang out by the river. The cabin was peaceful and quiet, and overall is was such a dream. We can’t wait to come back! Ps. My husband set off the fire alarm accidentally the first night and property owner was so very nice even though we were thoroughly embarrassed.

Perfect Riverside Retreat!

All positive comments in all the reviews are true! This little cozy cabin is even better in person. 3 days was not enough to visit all the nearby parks and trails and the rugged Oregon coast. The cabin was so homey to return to each evening.The beauty of the river is awesome! Thank you!

River Escape

Hideaway in the redwood forest with a riverview. Relax and unwind with the sounds of the Smith River in the background. It was a beautiful, serene location. The cabin was comfortable and cozy with everything we needed for our stay. We loved it, and hope to return. great vacation.vacation

Peaceful Christmas retreat

My husband and I and our Bernedoodle, Ruthie, enjoyed a holiday retreat at this wonderful cabin on the Smith River! What a cozy and charming hideaway! Our hosts were so generous and had thought of everything that we might need - including fresh eggs and Christmas candies and condiments. The supplied lanterns and battery candles were appreciated, as a winter storm came with lightning and thunder, high winds, torrential rain, and a power outage! The lousy coastal weather did not dampen our holiday spirits though... we just hunkered down in the warm cabin with books, t.v. and card games! We did get a break in the weather to go to the Redwoods, and up to Brookings to see the Christmas lights. Christmas dinner down at the Elk casino - a fabulous feast, and one breakfast at the Hiouchi Cafe which was delicious! This was a lovely Christmas and we couldn't have been happier in spite of the weather! We would love to return to this sweet little cabin again! Five stars for Patty, Bob, and their property manager! Super hosts!

Incredible

Incredible stay; traveling with an infant and a toddler and a husky, and we were so impressed with how kid friendly, cosy and clean the property was. We came during a winter storm, and while we had issues with flooding and landslides in route, the property itself was everything we were hoping for. We will certainly be returning again!

What a fantastic 4 days!

We had an amazing time. Definitely something to come back to. Great location, 25 mins to the coast, lots of incredible trails and beautiful scenery throughout the area. The property was immaculate, cozy and better then expected.expected

Lovely cabin in an extravagantly beautiful location.

Cabin seems smaller on the outside than it actually is on the inside. Inside it's clean, cozy, and well stocked. HUGE deck in front with tables, chairs, heater, gas fire pit, hammock, and a short walk down to the river, which is just beaytiful.

Perfect paradise

Wonderfull property 10 cant say enough. Redwoods a short drive away ,such a relaxing retreat.absolutely loved the river right below the cabin.the redwood groves were magnificent. A site to behold.we enjoyed hiking the trails very early so we could enjoy the comforts of the cabin and the river all afternoon .

Nature magic

Our stay at this property was absolutely magical. The river was at a great level with both shallow areas and deep swimming holes. The hosts were amazing, and the cabin felt like home. We especially loved the outdoor area with a propane grill, hammock, and seating area. We had to cut our trip a day short but already have plans to come back. Thanks for a great stay!

Charming cabin by the Smith River

Great cabin by the Smith River! We wish we had planned a longer stay. The location by the river is delightful. We are already planning a return trip so we have more time to explore the majestic redwoods. And we definitely want more time to enjoy hanging out and playing in the river.

Cabin in Natural Beauty

Beautiful cabin in the woods by the pristine waters of the Smith River. Friendly and helpful hosts provided everything needed to enjoy one of the most wonderful places in nature we’ve experienced. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities inside, with an ideal outdoor setting that left us at total peace. We could’ve just stayed on property and had an amazing stay, but we were close to many of the most amazing trails with giant redwoods and the rugged ocean coast. Wow! One of our best experiences.
