Gîte de charme au calme, piscine privée, proche de Saint-Emilion et Bordeaux

Les Cyprès font parties d'une ancienne ferme (1900) entièrement restaurée et offrent tout le confort nécessaire pour accueillir deux à quatre personnes. C'est un havre de paix et de repos. Au RDC: un salon salle à manger spacieux ayant une superbe vue sur la terrasse ombragée, le jardin, les vignes et le bois; une cuisine entièrement équipée; une buanderie et une chambre double avec salle d'eau et WC en suite. A l'étage une chambre avec 2 lits simples, une mezzanine avec un lit simple et une salle d'eau avec WC. A l'extérieur une terrasse avec pergola couverte de glycines, une piscine privative (9 x 5) au sel avec une grande plage pour en profiter et un très grand jardin privatif. C'est un endroit idéal pour découvrir Duras 15 min, Saint Emilion 35 min, Bergerac 35 min, Bordeaux 1h, Arcachon 1h 3/4, la Dune du Pyla, les châteaux de la Dordogne, Sarlat, Lascaux ainsi que de nombreux marchés tant de jour que de nuit (en saison). Pour les passionnés de golf, le Château des Vigiers Golf et Country Club se trouve à 20 min.

Les Cyprès is part of a converted stone farmhouse, set in a tranquil location, at the end of a private drive just a few miles outside the village of Pellegrue. It is an ideal base for couples and families on holiday.
The property is situated in the Entre-deux-Mers region, which is part of the Bordeaux wine producing area. The accomodation has wonderful views overlooking vines, fields and woodland. The large enclosed garden is maintained to a high standard. Though peaceful, Pellegrue and other local villages are within easy reach, each providing shops, supermarkets, boulangeries, banks and traditional weekly markets.
Every care has been taken to retain the character and original features of the house and each room is tastefully decorated and furnished, providing everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The saltwater pool equipped with a solar shower is for the exclusive use of visitors. The pool benefits from some of the best views the property has to offer.
The owners take pride in offering their visitors a warm welcome and provide a small welcome pack on arrival.
Please note that the owners live on site in another part of the property that does not overlook the gîte. They are discreet at all times, but are available for any help or advice that visitors may require.

The main entrance to the gite leads from a stone-walled terrace with wisteria covered pergola, into a spacious and well lit dining room/lounge with flat screen television (UK channels) and DVD player. Internet access is available throughout the property.
The kitchen which overlooks the garden and pool, is well equipped with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave oven.
A separate utility room provides a washing machine, ironing facilities, sink, freezer, storage space and rowing machine.
The master bedroom is situated on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room with wash-basin and wc.

On the first floor, there is a twin bedded room and a second shower room with wash-basin and wc.
On the same level, a spacious mezzanine can sleep one adult, or the area just used as an ideal snug area in which to relax or read.

The price includes bedlinen, bathroom towels, bath mats and tea towels, but we would ask you to please bring your own pool /beach towels.
For fortnightly bookings or more, clean bedlinen and towels are offered weekly.
There are no hidden costs regarding electricity and water consumption.
An end of let cleaning service may be arranged, to ensure your holiday ends on a relaxed note.
Guests visiting outside the peak season have the comfort of full central heating (gas) at an additional cost, by prior arrangement with the owners.

Outdoors:
The property is set in a large well maintained garden containing shrubs, trees and extensive lawn areas for making the most of the sunshine.
Guests have exclusive use of the private 9mx5m saltwater swimming pool (both shallow and deep end), which is equipped with a reglementary safety alarm.
The pool has a sizeable paved sun terrace, which provides a large parasol and sunloungers for every visitor. The pool can be seen from the dining terrace, kitchen and upper floor and has lovely panoramic views to be enjoyed.
An adjacent field may be used for ball games.
The stone walled dining terrace is equipped with garden furniture and is shaded by a pergola supporting wisterias that show an abundance of flowers in the spring. A gravel path leads off from this terrace to a fixed featured BBQ, set in the lawn.
Both the terrace, pool and garden areas offer complete privacy for guests to enjoy throughout their stay.
Wildlife to be seen and heard from the terraces may include deer, birds of prey, and the numerous house martins that are present in summer. If you may be visiting in Spring or Autumn you may be lucky to witness some of the many hundreds of migrating cranes.

For the comfort and safety of all our guests, there is a no smoking policy on the property and we are sorry that we are not able to accept animals.
