Au coeur de plages du débarquement en Normandie , Port en Bessin authentique petit port de pêche artisanale et de plaisance du calvados, réputé pour ses coquilles Saint Jacques situé à 10 minutes d'Arromanches et de son port artificiel, 10 minutes d'Omaha Beach, 10 minutes de Bayeux , 30 minutes de Caen, 1h30 du Mont Saint Michel et 3h00 de Paris.

Ambiance cocooning pour vos vacances !!!
Appartement à Port en Bessin totalement rénové avec prestations hauts de gammes, vue mer et sur les marées au pied de notre immeuble, directement en front de mer et sur l'avant port.
A marée basse, vous pourrez vous balader sur le sable sur la petite plage qui se trouve devant l'immeuble et ensuite vous pourrez aller acheter votre poisson frais et vos crustacés au marché aux poissons qui se trouve à deux minutes.
Marché chaque dimanche toute l'année et également le vendredi soir en saison.
Juillet et août (à partir du 20 juillet 2018) grand feux d'artifice chaque vendredi
A deux pas du port de pêche, au deuxième étage d'un ancien immeuble de pêcheur, nous vous proposons un appartement de charme d'environ 65m² au confort haut de gamme avec vue sensationnelle sur la mer avec ses trois grandes fenêtres dans le salon et la cuisine.
Pièce de vie comprenant une grande cuisine avec coin repas 4 personnes, la cuisine aménagée avec un équipement très complet (four pyrolise, machine à café Nespesso, cafetière, four micro-ondes, réfrigérateur, lave linge séchant, plaque à induction etc...) c'est comme à la maison!!! et en plus vous profiterez de la vue mer.
Le salon est très agréable avec son canapé douillet où vous pourrez profiter du va et vient des bateaux, une table d'appoint avec deux fauteuils que nous avons installé devant la plus grande fenêtre pour que vous puissiez profiter au maximum de ce splendide panorama.

une chambre avec deux lits 90x190 que nous pouvons réunir.
Une salle de bain totalement équipée avec sèche-cheveux, serviettes de toilette, peignoir, savon etc...

Perfect location in quiet village

We very much enjoyed our stay! Geraldine greeted us upon check in, showed us the house and places to see. She even booked us a dinner at a local restaurant our first evening, which was amazing given our long day of travel. The village is walkable…with markets, shops, restaurants and sea front only a few minutes walk away. The location is great for all the Normandy sites. We look forward to returning soon.

Lovely location by the sea

An enviable location on the Harbour front. A fish market, coffee shops, patisseries and restaurants all within walking distance.Quiet (though no others staying at the time) with easy parking. Super jumping off point for the D Day beaches, Bayeaux and inland Normandy. Very reluctant to leave.

Wonderful two week stay

We had a wonderful stay, this is the place to stay in Port en Bessin. The view from the apartment, sunrise and sunset on the harbor is one we’ll always remember. Geraldine is an excellent host, suggested many sites and things to do while there. Next time in Normandy we plan on staying here again.

My family all enjoyed our stay at this charming and wonderful home. We enjoyed the coffee in the morning, the comfortable beds and the beautiful location. The water view out of the main windows was pretty and peaceful. Thank you for a truly lovely experience.

Beautiful apartment and location

My family and I had a great time in Normandy for D-Day and this apartment was perfect! Plenty of space, view of the sea, and well appointed. Geraldine was so sweet- she welcomed us with D Day gifts when we arrived and also came by to explain the events and apartment details. It is located just steps from restaurants and shops too. Would love to stay here again!

A must see location

On a two week Europe vacation and this flat is by far the best!! It's so beautiful, cozy, the location in Port Bessin is perfect! Geraldine is so kind, and flexible with checking in and out! A five star all around!

Perfect Apartment and Geraldine was lovely

This apartment is very nice and very well located. Geraldine was a lovely host and very helpful with any of our questions. We rent many vacation rentals and Geraldine has above and beyond with everything to make your stay comfortable. There are so many little extras that are not listed that make your stay so much better (Large mirrors, good hairdryers, a bag to take to the supermarket, coffee and tea, almost every kitchen utensil, etc etc). One of the most thoughtful places we have stayed, we will recommend to anybody and we will be staying again ourselves. Thank you :)

The home was exactly what 4 sisters from the United States needed to visit the Normandy Beaches region! The French fishing village was perfect to feel a part of the region and French people were so kind and helpful. Can’t wait to return some day!

A Perfect Place to Stay

We took a chance based on the photos to stay here instead of Bayeux while visiting Normandy. It paid off. Geraldine is wonderful and explained all the nuances of the unit. The unit was very clean and exactly as described. We had a ball and loved the little historic town. I would come back again and again.

Great location to explore Normandy

Great apartment and great host! The location in Port en Bessin is wonderful for exploring Normandy. You are right in the middle of the D Day beaches and the Mont St. Michel is only 1 1/2 hours drive. Port en Bessin is a quaint sea side town with lots of charm. Geraldine is a wonderful host. She is friendly and very helpful both prior to and during your stay. The apartment is well appointed, very quiet and has a great view overlooking the water.

Very clean and well equipped- has everything you need. Great central location for seeing Normandy D- Day beaches, Mont Saint Michelle, Bayeux, Caen, Honfleur and Cliffs of Etretat. Bernadette went out of her way to make sure you felt at home and gave us great restaurant suggestions. Only drawback was stairs to 2nd flloor are spiral and narrow so would take that into consideration If booking and have difficulty with stairs, especially with luggage.

Beautiful appartment with Harbour View

We havn‘t seen such a nice and clean apartment on our travels. The pictures are absolutely true to reality. Our apartment on the second floor had a fantastic view of the Harbor Entrance. If you need Geraldine she was everytime a phonecall away and provided us with tips for restaurants and excursions. Thank you for two wonderful weeks in Port-en-Bessin-Huppin!

We loved it! Geraldine, the property manager, was fabulous. Very professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. We enjoyed watching the boats go out each morning and the quaint village atmosphere. The locals made us feel very welcome. We will be coming back to Normandy for a longer stay and will be reserving this fabulous apartment! We are very glad that we selected this location versus a hotel in Bayeux.

Paradis entre les deux phares

Port-en-Bessin is a nice little town with a fishing port and many cosy restaurants and shops. The view from our apartment on the harbor and the sea was a dream. The apartment is nicely furnished and the kitchen perfectly equipped. Geraldine is a very kind and friendly hostess. She was always at our side with help and advice and has given us many good tips for excursions, shopping and restaurants. We have spent two great weeks in this paradise between the two lighthouses! Merci beaucoup!

Perfect!

Everything about our stay was perfect! Geraldine was a wonderful hostess who truly cares about her guests. The apartment was beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. The large windows provided an amazing view of the sea that was hard to leave each morning and a wonderful sunset at the end of each day. So peaceful and relaxing. The apartment is an easy and short drive to all the D-Day beaches and also walking distance to many great restaurants in Port-en-Bessin. We didn’t want to leave and we hope to go back and stay longer next time. Thank you Geraldine!

TERRIFIC EVERYTHING!

We spent 12 nights in Geraldine's wonderful apartment with an incredible view of the port, colorful parade of boats, the endless sea. Her apartment is superb -- all magazine-worthy -- so very easy to spend lots of time inside looking out. Port-en-Bessin is in a great location for the D-Day sites and touring Bayeux and Caen. The #70 bus goes back and forth several times daily to Bayeux and the American Cemetery. We would be delighted to return to this area and stay in Geraldine's gorgeous apartment again. Wish we could give six stars! Highly recommend!

Perfect!

This apartment was unbelievably cool. The view of the ocean with the boats & tide coming in and out was amazing. Geraldine has done a great job of decorating, everything is new & sparkling. The check in & out was easy. Our host couldn't have been nicer. She provided some wine & snacks & a surprise gift when leaving. Her recommendation for restaurants was spot on. You must visit the fish market across the street with so many interesting fresh caught fish, crab, lobster, welks, etc. I would love to return some day!!

PERFECTION IN NORMANDY!!!!

Look no further, this is the perfect accommodation and Geraldine is a great host. We stayed in the second floor unit and we loved our time there. She has thought of absolutely everything and the apartment is amazing. Just a few of our observations: Assorted cords for plugging in all devices She left a bottle of wine, sparkling cider and a box of chocolates There were many types of tea, coffee and hot chocolate etc She provided lovely toiletries Very high end appliances Beautiful dishes and glassware Bed was very comfortable Her taste and style are wonderful The unit has a chef’s kitchen All the cookware you would ever want She meet us at our arrival and came to say goodbye at our departure She was incredibly responsive and so helpful with travel advice and restaurant recommendations She is a national treasure Fantastic full water view We are both master athletes and loved the stairs She got us a special map that favored our request for running routes in the area Parking was easy and convenient Book well in advance so you don’t miss out on staying in one of her units We are already looking at our calendar to see when we can return. An amazing experience

Lovely waterfront flat

Lovely flat in central Normandy. Easy to to get to all the sites. The place was very clean and well decorated. Your view is direct harbor/waterfront. Plenty of on street parking. We were able to walk to shops/groceries/restaurants in the port area. Our host checked us in and was available if needed. We had a lovely time here. I hate to even mention cons but there were a couple. There are 2 narrow set of stairs to get to the apartment. Was not an issue for us but could be for some. Also be warned there is no insulation between rooms and/or floors. I dontv think much can be done about this as it has to do with the walls. I could hear my daughter roll over in her bed at night. Also could hear upstairs waking at 5 am. Wasn't a huge issue cause the area is very quiet.

Fabulous apartment but not for anyone with mobility issues

Apartment was fabulous, beautifully clean and amazingly equipped, there was nothing that hadn’t been thought of, I would highly recommend a stay here if you are fit and healthy, however the staircase leading to the apartment was a massive issue for us, we had my parents with us, my mum is 82 and struggled daily with the very narrow tight, steep winding staircase which has no handrails and 32 steps , the apartment is in a beautiful old building so we appreciate there is nothing that can be done to improve the access but it would put us off staying again, the description does say it’s on the second floor but there are no pictures or description of how bad the stairs are!… however this would not put me off recommending it to others that are super fit

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Mon mari et moi sommes natifs de la région, nous habitons à 5 minutes de Port en Bessin et depuis toujours, nous avions le projet d'investir dans ce joli port de pêche où depuis enfant nous venions nous balader avec nos parents maintenant c'est avec notre petit garçon.
Nous voulions faire découvrir aux vacanciers ce magnifique coin du Calvados.
