To start, the property was not clean when we were there to check in. I was told to understand due to the holiday (Thanksgiving). My only issue with that is that we had to pay a premium for the holiday. So we told them do not rush, we want it clean. We planned our 9 hour drive to arrive there and walk in and relax.
Online it says there is cable, which I didn't care, because I was not there to watch tv, but there is not cable or satellite, only the Roku. Which if you don't have any subscriptions, it is not good. Would have appreciated having it on Thanksgiving day to watch the parade, or in the evening when it was raining. But not a deal breaker.
When you walk in, you realize that Glamour Shots did the photos, because it looked so beautiful and spacious in the pictures, when you walk in, not so much. The painted floors look dirty, but the water spots on the walls tell the real story. The deck rails are rotting, the rail where you park is rotted through at the base, so do not trip and fall and hope the rail will save you. The rear door on the main level, was very difficult to lock, you actually had to lift the door to get it to lock. Such a great feature when you have a small child, and bears in the same area. Bears were great to see, but you should be able to secure the house easily to keep everyone safe.
The main floor restroom, besides from being difficult to shower in, seemed like the rug had never been changed or cleaned. The comforter smelled musty. There was a stain on the side of the sheet, possibly blood or chocolate. The main bedroom TV did not work either. You could manually turn it on, but the streaming device did not work. The wall mounted fireplace, you could turn on manually but not control. The lights didn't work either.
It was nice to have a pool table downstairs, where the door was almost impossible to close. The remote did not work the tv, only the roku functions. Moisture spots on the walls.
Outside, the view was great unless you looked down. It looked like a landfill was being started at the base of the house. Broken mirrors, beer cans, grilling utensils, and on and on.
But there is a hot tub. Which was not on when we got there, so I found the breaker and turned it on. The only problem is, it is at the front door, where you can look at your car and your neighbors. Oh but it gets better, there is a camera right above the hot tub.
