BEST rental we’ve stayed in!

Of all the rentals we have been in, this one was by far the most clean, comfy and the decor made us feel at home. TV’s in the living room and bedroom, a really nice washer and dryer, not a single bug in sight. Absolutely wonderful place to have stayed for a week. We will definitely be back!!

This place is disgusting and not well kept. Think college rental. The sink was clogged, the furniture, shower curtain and mattress were all stained, the bed squeaked so badly we woke each other up constantly, and there were cockroaches. There's a reason this is the cheapest place and one of the last available. Yuck.

Never Again!

So we knew the place was dingy by the looks of it prior, but the location was perfect, the place allowed dogs and it was inexpensive so we booked it! However, when we arrived the place was not clean. There were bugs on the kitchen counter & throughout other rooms, we found trash left over from the previous renters, stains on the sheets, and smelled/felt extremely musty. I had a really hard time sleeping, worrying about bugs in the bed. We do have very positive feedback to provide regarding the property management company. They were very accommodating, allowing us late check out (which we requested after spending an all-nighter in the ER with our 8 month old) and we’re quick to respond to our WiFi issues & guest parking pass.

203 The Greens…. Not a place to stay….

Unfortunately I would not stay at 203 in The Greens in shipyard plantation. I also would not recommend anyone to stay there. The whole condo needed a total update, it was almost like walking into a flea market everything mismatched old not working well the carpet was atrocious with stains, the walls and baseboards were in dire need of a new fresh coat of paint. Coffee pot did not work sink was rusted did not work well in the kitchen the sliding glass door could not open had to have maintenance come and fix it the refrigerator was not working had to throw food away from our freezer they replaced it with a loaner refrigerator… It was not a good stay. Hilton Head exterminators had to come and spray….we saw a palmetto bug in kitchen counter….one of the vacuum sweepers needs replaced. We stayed for one month and I’m sorry we did not demand to be moved into another unit! Learned my lesson. The only good thing about the place was the location and the Neighbors staying next door, Also, I have to thank Richard, the property manager, who showed up every time we needed something. He was great!! And Gail in the office was a tremendous help as was Chris, If I were Vacasa, I’d be embarrassed to keep this unit in the inventory…..

Disappointing!

This place is beat up, worn-out and filthy! Which is very disappointing because it's in such a great location. It is apparent that it has not been maintained over the years. This place needs a complete renovation from top to bottom. The walls and trim have numerous paint chips and are pretty banged up. The drywall was separating in the corners and needs repair. The carpeting had several large stains and smelled bad. The closet doors were chipped, banged up and didn't work properly. There were dustballs and pet hair under the bed. The bedspread and blankets were torn and had holes in them. The pillows and blanket for the sleep sofa were old and worn. The bathrooms and kitchen were dated, but functional. The furnishings were old and shabby. The seat cushions on the dining room chairs were stained. It was not a comfortable place to relax for a vacation. The small old microwave did not work properly. The kitchen utensils were junk. There was a bunch of old stuff in the cupboards. The coffee pot looked relatively new and worked fine. The refrigerator was a loaner, because the old one didn't work and was left on the front porch. They wanted to install a new fridge while we were there, but we asked them to wait until we checked out. The unit is listed as "pet friendly", however there was a sign on the fridge stating that dogs were not allowed on the furniture or beds and they couldn't be left alone. Vacasa was responsive to our concerns and sent a person to clean the unit the next day. They also had the carpet cleaned on the third day. A new bedspread was also provided. However, all of this should have been done before we checked in. Vacasa should not have listed this property in this condition. It reflects negatively on them.

Clean, but shabby.

Great HH location with short walk to beach. Very clean and well supplied. Unfortunately this unit has not been maintained well. Needs a paint job badly. The bed frame freaked everytime I move. We had to go buy fresh pillows. Washer/dryer made a racket.

A Neat Single Bedroom Unit

We had a great time at this facility. It was clean, very well furnished, quiet and convenient to many amenities. We stayed with our 15 pound Maltese blend dog and he felt at home and liked walking the property. Other than the unit could use some painting, especially the molding, met our need.

Our first trip to Hilton Head and our stay at The Greens was amazing. Accomodation was as described and everything was very neat, clean and functional. The location and proximity to the beach are unbeatable.

Keep looking and skip this property

Do yourself a favor, and skip on booking this location. Its completely outdated, dirty and no amenities that you'd find in other locations for the same cost. Very disappointed. Even the front door lock didn't feel safe.

Great location & property but poorly managed

The space itself was a great set up and wonderful location. Check in was easy so that’s always a plus! However the place was not clean (bugs in the dishwasher, dust and animal hair throughout the house, including the bedding) I’ve seen many reviews regarding Vacasa’s lack of thorough cleaning and so I hope they can figure out how to resolve this consistent complaint because the properties they manage deserve better! We won’t rent through Vacasa again unless it’s the only option left.

Weekend stay

The property was in a great location to the beach and the wedding we attended. We had our dog which is why we stayed here. The condo is very outdated and could use some sprucing up.

Great Place!

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. We are big fans of staying in Shipyard and wanted to bring our dog down for the week. The condo had everything that we needed and was a perfect space for our pet. It was an easy walk to the beach. We are definitely going to keep our eye on this property for our next trip down!

Needs a lot of work

Great location. Vacasa was very responsive and tried their best. But we could not get wifi to work there. And the place needs to be completely renovated. It was as clean as it could be but carpets and walls are all mucked up. Slider to patio wouldn't slide open. There were German roaches in kitchen. And the vents were all moldy and coat closet had nasty moldy rotten leak at top left that needs to be attended to. There was a strong mildew smell constantly and the little hidden air freshners could not cover it. There was no hair dryer in the place. Owner needs to do a freshen up.

I had a great time and the place was great for the price.

It was a great place. Love that it’s dog friendly. My family and I really enjoyed it. The condo is less than a 10 minute walk from shipyards beach. A few things to note: 1. Pick up the parking pass from the office. Otherwise you’ll have a hard time going in and out of the neighborhood. I got a guest pass the first night from the gate and the second day I struggled to get in. So pick up the guest pass from the Vacasa office, it’ll make things easier. 2. The address doesn’t work on Apple Maps. When you put it in it’ll get you to the gate but not to the right condo. So after you get to the gate, just look at the map and use common sense to find the condo. That’s it! The house was great, I just wish I’d known these things.
