À propos de cet hébergement
The Quarters: Stone Studio Retreat with Fireplace
Nestled at the head of the river floodplain, flanked by mountains and surrounded by farmland, enjoy the experience of staying at historic property with newly renovated modern comforts. Take a long walk or bike ride through an iconic part of Australia bushland or picnic on the banks of river to watch wombats or kangaroos wander by.
The property
Full of old-warm charm and rustic beauty, Foxlow's Studio Quarters No.2 makes for a romantic escape for up to two people in the country. The cozy self-contained suite is a haven for escaping to quite private location and exploring the surrounds; trees sing with birdlife, station horses greet you at the fence and the river scape is alive with frogs, wombats and kangaroos. Perfectly paired with tasteful antiques and contemporary furnishings, care and consideration have been taken to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
Spanning three studio sized rooms, there's space for activities and relaxation. The stone textured queen sized bedroom is beautifully adorned French linen sheets and towel set. Guests can enjoy heating from the slow combustion fireplace place full stocked all year round browsing the curated collection of history and fictional books. The spacious herringbone tiled bathroom has a step free shower with unlimited hot water as well as a deep bath with luxurious lavender bath oil.
Inside the front entrance you will find the lounge room and kitchen fully stocked as well as extra blankets, picnic rugs, board games, farm map, blue tooth portable speaker and other homely comforts. Use the farm map to take a picnic in the paddock or hire the mountain e-bikes to access up to 50km of trails and tracks through the snowy woodlands.
The farmstay kitchen is fully equiped with microwave, mini fridge, hot plates, coffee pot, kettle, toaster and more. High speed wifi provides instant streaming to your device for movie night or rug up and gather around the outdoor fire pit for sunset wines or star gazing. With festoon lighting, outdoor dining and Webber BBQ the outdoor patio and garden area is a great space to soak up the historic buildings and tranquil country surrounds.
Explore the neighbouring villages of Bungendore, Braidwood, Queanbeyan and Canberra which make for charming day trips. Discover heritage buildings, local galleries and sample the best produce from the Canberra Region's restaurants, cellar doors and cafes. With free on site private parking for two vehicles, the Farmstay No.2 Studio is the perfect base for a memorable getaway.
Dogs are welcome with a fee of $40/dog (max 1). It is also on the condition they are kept off sofas and out of bedrooms. Sadly we cannot accept cats or other pets for allergy reasons.
Port-a-cot with linen is available on request at no extra cost for families.
Enquire about hiring mountain e-bikes with a fee of $90/stay (max 2) to discover over 50km of marked trails leading to historic railways, bridges, ruins and an iconic part of Australia's Snowy Woodland bushland.
