Stunning views await you from the living areas and sunny deck of this traditional kiwi bach which has been tastefully modernised to give it a modern feel. There are 2 separate self contained units on two separate levels meeting the holiday needs for the extended family or use only upstairs for a smaller family. Each level has extensive views of the estuary, dunes beyond.

The upper level has open plan living, dining full kitchen as well as a bathroom and two bedrooms. There are decks both front rear with the front deck having spectacular views and the rear deck BBQ outdoor eating facilities.

The lower level includes another lounge, bedroom, second shower toilet with limited cooking facilities and a washing machine/dryer. There are additional double over-nighters for extra beds in the lounge on each level.

A short level walk to the surf beach avoids any parking issues during busy periods. While for the more active its an easy stroll through the camping areas along the estuary to the shops.

Please note that the property has a Sky starter Package but we are happy to add Sky Sport on for you for the duration of your stay. Please let us know in advance and we will arrange this for you so it is ready on arrival. If you would like to bring your pet, please check with us first.

There is also now a Nespresso machine, BYO pods

Fantastic location - easy walk to the beach, and amazing views. BachCare staff were super helpful in sorting an issue with the downstairs plumbing - they really went out of their way. Thanks heaps!!

Great location to the surf beach

We went as a family of adults and children (10 and 15). Location was a 5 minute walk to the main surf beach. There’s a great view from the bach to the estuary and sand dunes. We really enjoyed having meals on the balcony with that outlook. The bach is basic, but provided everything we needed, laundry, bbq, kitchen appliances etc. The separate unit downstairs was great as we went with 2 families so plenty of privacy. Bianca was great to deal with. Very responsive and check-in was smooth and easy. Thank you again, would love to stay again.

Beautiful location

Lovely traditional bach in a perfect location very close to the surf beach. Gorgeous views overlooking the estuary, sand dunes and out to the ocean.

A great stay with pets

The property owners have thought of absolutely everything! We had five adults and two dogs on our stay. Upstairs has amazing views and a covered deck area where pets can be contained. Downstairs has pet-friendly tile floors. All the beds were really comfy, a great location with lots of space for a family group.

Views are the best...but

The Pros : 1. Classic Kiwi bach with excellent views 2. Great location; very close to the beach, reserve and not far from the town centre. 3. Has all the basic amenities and choice of indoor entertainment for a holiday eg: books, board games, TV The CONS 1. Mice in upper level. Seen several times walking around on the benches and also nibbled on food stored in carton (left on kitchen benchtop). 2. Lower level musty and smelling of mould, including supplied linen. The area needs to be ventilated. 3. Water definitely not good/potable. 6 of 7 of us went down with bad stomachs. 4. House not at all pet friendly. To be so it would need to be fenced. Plus it slopes right onto to a blind corner in the road. 5. Lawns not mowed and overgrown each side of the drive - grass about 400mm high. 6. Staircase on the outiside. Must go outside to go between lower and upper levels. 7. Upper level deck balustrade not compliant. No small children/toddlers should be allowed on the deck. Danger of falling between the balustrades is very high. An accident waiting to occur. 8. Sharp change of levels at drive - road junction. Car grounds every time.

Best view in Mangawhai for sure!

The property, although not very modern has a stunning outlook. The outdoor entertaining areas provide sunshine and privacy or incredible views. The kitchen is well equipped and living area looks out to the stunning estuary and ocean. Great to holiday with dogs, though not fully fenced. It would be good if there was a gate across the stairs- especially with having dogs. The access and proximity to numerous beach and hill walks made this an excellent location. The downstairs flat had plenty of room and basic cooking facilities for our needs. This is a great place for two families or individuals as we were to stay.

Gorgeous

wonderful spot to stay, sun on the front deck in the morning and sun in the evening on the rear deck when BBQing, short walk to the beach for swims, plenty of space for the family.

Excellent views from top level

We all enjoyed our stay in Wintle 93 with great summer weather for the whole four days. Location was perfect for both surf beach and estuary. Views from main bedroom and lounge and, of course, the verandah were great. Inside very clean but a few cobwebs on outside. Room layout very good for a mixed family - Nan and Pa stayed downstairs and were able to get an early morning cup of tea from the kitchenette down there. Mum, dad and the two boys (12 and 16) slept upstairs. It was easy for us to join them by the external stairs but not so good had it been raining.

Peaceful and Picturesque

This rustic bach had everything we needed. A good kitchen, strong shower, comfortable bed and great view. The position is excellent with an easy walk, both to the surf beach and estuary.Dave the manager was, friendly flexible and helpful. The only down sides were that in mid winter the property itself receives limited sun and the drive is quite steep.
