Situé au cœur de la baie des îles sur 3,5 hectares de terrain privé, nous sommes fiers de vous présenter le rare et magnifique Oke Bay Lodge, à seulement 35 minutes de la première capitale de la Nouvelle-Zélande, Russell.
Une villa historique de 120 ans sur deux étages à Kauri, l'endroit idéal pour votre réunion de famille, un mariage en boutique ou une escapade entre amis.
Étant un front de mer absolu et situé sur une étroite bande de terre entre deux plages, vous profiterez d'une vue imprenable sur l'entrée de la baie des îles, de la péninsule du cap Brett et de l'océan Pacifique. Niché dans une poche de brousse indigène baignée de soleil, vous adorerez l'intimité et la paix qu'offre cette propriété.
Il y a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour vous détendre, y compris une toute nouvelle cuisine bien équipée et trois nouvelles salles de bains. Vous allez adorer le bain à pantoufles! L'ensemble des lieux déborde de caractère et de charme.
Avec des lits à l'intérieur pour 12 personnes et beaucoup de place sur la pelouse pour les enfants dans leurs tentes, c'est le lieu de vacances idéal.

Nous avons constaté par expérience que ce qui se passe généralement lorsque les clients restent, c'est que des extras finissent par arriver et que certains clients attendus ne se présentent pas. En d'autres termes, les chiffres définitifs ne correspondent pas toujours aux chiffres estimés dans la réservation d'origine.

Nous demandons donc aux gens de garder une trace, lorsqu'ils séjournent réellement au Lodge, du nombre de personnes qui restent chaque nuit, puis de faire un décompte à la toute fin pour déterminer le coût final. Cela fonctionne bien.

Wonderful place, shame about the Inaccurate listing and with important information not disclosed

The listing claims that you can provide the number of guests at the end of your stay which you will be charged for. This is then contradicted in a pdf dropbox link the manager sends after the booking is confirmed adding that you can only confirm additional guests at the end of the stay which you will be charged for opposed to less guests than the original booking/deposit. The listing claims the house is on a piece of land with a beach at the front. The beach at the front is not accessible as there is no track and its very steep down to it. You have to walk down the Road for approximately half a km to the bay. The image is taken from above so you can not get an accurate understanding of how steep and inaccessible it is. The track down to Oki Bay is very steep and the steps are eroded away. The owner of the lodge has an active petition to get the council/government to update the track as he claims it is dangerous and indeed it is. There is no mobile coverage which would have been nice to know before hand especially prior to accessing the property as there is dropbox pdf download he sent me the night before required to access the property. If you dont download and read this before you get to the property you will have a problem as I encountered. The lodge only has plastic drinking glasses which are nasty. The front pergola tarnished the view and is not in keeping with the style of the house. Julian the owner leaves Christian brochures around the house in attempt to educate/convert guests to his school of religion. The living room is not at the front of the house so it does not get a view. The kitchen smells bad, which is discouraging. The staircase to the 2nd floor are very steep and may not be suitable for some guests. I had to leave two days early than I had booked as I require mobile coverage for work which I informed Julian of at the beginning of the stay. He confirmed by email that it is ok, but did not mention I would still be charged for those days. I incorrectly presumed that meant I would not be charged for those days however I was. The house, property and location is however charming, unique and impressive. It is unfortunate the listing information and management is not clearer.

We had a fantastic long weekend at Oke Bay Lodge this summer. The lodge and setting is gorgeous, well-suited to a large group of adults and communication with Julian hit the mark beautifully. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back! Thanks Julian :)

What a piece of hidden paradise!!!

This beautiful property was a great surprise. It was located steps away from the best beach in NZ Oke Bay!!! Wow so magical. Now for the property, Stunning home, with sun and shade around the full property. Feels like home, cozy and relaxing. Great kitchen with everything you would think off. Awesome to have two full fridges.. The front deck with a shaded roof and huge patio round table looking out to the water is beautiful.. With rocking chairs and a bbq and best of all, coming from a spin instructor, this place had a high quality spin bike. This made my trip, waking up every morning with such a view and hitting that bike hard. The town of Russel was a lovely evening in for some lovely music and wine with cute shops. This is a place I will be coming back to, another reason is to hike the Cape Brett Hike which is also right next to the beautiful home. What a great stay we had, it was sad to leave. Absolutely Fabulous

Our extended group stayed for 3 weeks at the Lodge. For many of us it was the first time we'd spent time in the Bay of Islands. The Lodge is wonderful, the views are world class. The property - gardens, verandahs, decks are all very appealing and make for excellent outdoors living. Lots of thoughtful features throughout, and its clear a lot of love and labour has gone into the property. Steep stairs might restrict the less able-bodied - but other than that - close to perfect. Julian and his team a very available and helpful. We'll be back.

This is an amazing holiday destination where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings. The house has amazing character with all the facilities you need for a large group of people. Probably the best bach I have ever stayed in the last 20 years.

Although the receptionist accidentally duplicated the booking, the owner has tried his best to accomodate us and fix the problem. Great service and we will definitely come back again!

Oke Bay Lodge is one of the best places we've stayed at - lovingly restored gorgeous historic building, extremely well set up with everything you'd need, stunning views, able to cater for large numbers of people easily (we had 15) and easy walking distance to one of NZ's most stunning beaches - kid friendly and great snorkelling. We absolutely loved staying at the lodge. The glorious views over the bay, the incredible beach at Oke Bay, dolphin visits, superb weather and the peace and tranquility of the place make this place hard to beat. Definitely want to go back in the future and would highly recommend it.

An undiscovered oasis that offers a sanctuary of relaxation.

The Oke lodge at Rawhiti welcomes you with its heritage of time woven into its presence, and the caring details that went into the renovation takes you back to a simpler time when there were few visitors to this region. While the boat tours offer a glimpse of this gorgeous area, the lodge lives it; where quiet and serene are the norm. The lodge is well equipment an modernize to meet your every need. We found the beds very comfortable, the kitchen well equipment, minus a few sharper knives for cooking, the front porch ideal to watch the bay and read a book, and the shaded patio perfect for lunch and dreams of staying longer. Easy access to the Oke bay feels like jumping into your own private beach from a travel magazine. It just does not get much better than this. There are two breathtaking walks right off the property, that reveal both sides of the peninsula, and access to Russell and Paihia for shopping make for a great day outing. Julian is super to work with, cares deeply for this beautiful place, and wants to make sure your stay is wonderful. While not all the renovation is 100%, it is apparent every detail is in the works, well thought out and will be well crafted. You can stay at a modern Villa anywhere in the world, but to experience something special, we highly recommend the lodge. We are from Colorado, I do hope we can return to this amazing place someday. Beautiful house with everything we needed and more. Whilst it is a bit a windy drive to get to Oke Bay it is 100% worth it, this location is second to none. Waking up to sea views, watching sunrises and sunsets - its just amazing.

Location and character make this house a surreal beauty. Over the hill is Oke Bay, possibly the most beautiful water I ever swam in. Be aware that there is strict water rationing, no toiletries, no kitchen sponges, and maybe too many advice signs posted. Lighting in some of the rooms is minimal. The large-screen TV can only function through your laptop. These aside, it is still a wonderful spot.

Great location, the view is stunning! We even saw dolphins playing in the bay the first night.

Great location, the view is stunning! We even saw dolphins playing in the bay the first night. Used the kayaks in the early morning hours was awesome. The Cape Brent trail behind the house is a hidden gem, very challenging, lots of uphill, but worth the trek. We'll be back!

There are so many things to do here including kayaking/walking tracks and just relaxing. Oke bay was absolutely stunning. Will definitely be back again.

I am a Christian who has a great vision for this property. I want to use it for Christian purposes including training people, restoring people, hosting boutique weddings, corporate retreats, and health and fitness retreats.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I just adore old character homes. Unlike new modern homes, these historic homes have a personality. They tell a story. They are like a well loved and adored grand parent! Truly, Oke Bay Lode is like that. As soon as you walk in, you'll feel the warmth and the love in the atmosphere. If you read the visitors comments in our visitors book, these are common themes. There is a peace here that absolutely unique. To know what I am talking about you have to come and judge it for yourself.

Peaceful. Quiet. Private. Isolated. 3 new bathrooms. Brand new fully equipped kitchen. Clean. Personality plus! Very rare to find a property like this with no neighbours on either side for 200m and a beach on both sides, one of them world class and world famous. I love swimming with dolphins and being out in New Zealand's finest beach and bush location.
