This upper and lower unit duplex home is located steps from the Gulf of Mexico on historic Anna Maria Island. These Holmes Beach bungalows have a large heated pool and are rented in unison, perfect for friends and large families, as well. Both units are pet friendly. Only 1/2 mile from shops and restaurants and 1.5 miles from Historic Anna Maria , this house offers convenience with a remote island feel.

2 King, 2 queen and 4 twin beds are in the Anna Maria Island home. 2 Full kitchens, 2 dining rooms and 2 washers/dryers and 4 full bathrooms.

Perfect for my family!

The house was perfectly set up for my family of 4 children and my grandson and sister. It was great having the two separate apartments but share the back yard and pool. I loved how close it was to the beach and that it had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive as well. We loved our stay!

Our trip was perfect. We were close tothe beach, but also enjoyed the pool. The property manager was very responsive to a few concerns. We may book again next year!

Nice place

Very good place to stay, need some patches as it is not the newest house. Near to beach and really silent place. The backyard is really beautiful, we had some visits (a rat in the pool, some squirrels and a raccoon) 😉 The Barbecues could be changed as they are really used. Nice for two families as they are the separate flats. We enjoyed really much our stay there. Communication with Richard exceptional, he organized to sent our forgotten suitcase, thx. We will come back.

Good location. Older home

This house is in a good location. The house pictures are old the house needs a little refresher. I would give this house a B overall. It’s an older not updated. But it is a nice for the price point. Most houses on this island this size are much more for the week. So over all it’s a good getaway as long as you’re not expecting perfection. The owner is nice and easy to work with.

pretty good place

Overall the place was fine. There was no garbage disposal. From one downstairs bedroom you had to walk through the kitchen! to get to it! The closets had "stuff in them like our master bedroom closet had a thing that looked like mail holder in an apartment building and took up a lot of space we could have used. Lack of bowls and some similar stuff pool area was real nice beds were comfortable a type of combination locks on the doors so no keys needed

AMI Family Trip

This home was great for our family of 12. We loved the pool area. Lots of toys for the kids to play with. The beach is only a short 3 minute walk. Appreciated the wagon to haul our children’s beach toys. Home was clean. Communication with host was excellent. Overall a great experience!

Anna Maria vacation stay.

The area and short walk to the beach was excellent. The swimming pool was surrounded by plants and trees giving it a private Oasis feeling. The cleaning crew left their cleaning rags on the kitchen counters and failed to clean the toilet in the first floor but, this would not deter us from renting again.

NYE week in paradise

The property is perfect to share amongst families like we did. Pool was well taken care of by maintenance throughout our stay. We had all the essentials you need for a week at the beach already at the house. Would definitely recommend this property.

Pro’s…Nice Pool area but lots of construction materials lying around. Dry rotted chairs available for use at beach. Short walk to beach. Owner let family in 30 minutes early. 5% refund for Veteran’s. Cons…So gross and outdated it is hard to tell if clean bathroom and showers. I didn’t see any bugs so that was good. Broken lock on first floor window. Had to use a butter knife to keep secure. Can’t be too careful after Moscow, ID. Broken drawers in some bedrooms and bathrooms so unable to store items. Vents were filled with lint and dirt. Upstairs refrigerator had rust all on outside. Melted cabinet facing upstairs in kitchen. Towels and sheets were dark and stained, hopefully because of bleach. I’m sure there was mold everywhere because of the coughing occurring while there. So many other things that I have documented with photos. I was very disappointed in the interior. I didn’t expect a 5 star resort from the pictures, but for the almost $6K you don’t expect a 1986 Spring Break hotel. I didn’t contact the owner because of the response from the 1 star rating I saw when we arrived. We had 2 small dogs so we couldn’t go anywhere else and this is why we had to pick this duplex. We booked this duplex 11 months before so I can live with outdated on reviews, but YUCK! I’m a nurse and I would not bring children here. I wonder if the owner has ever stayed here???? I have pictures that I will be happy to send to owner if there is any questions regarding the accuracy of my review.

Great stay with adults and kids for a week

The two apartments are in a great location, walkable to beach and to trolley stops. We were glad we rented cars so we could go to grocery shops and other locations easily. Even though the weather was a bit cool, we enjoyed the pool and outside areas. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels for bathrooms and for beach/pool. Would consider returning if we need the large space again.

Great location and dog friendly

The house consists of 2 separate homes that are essentially the same (first floor/second floor). You have to go outside to get from one house to the other. Each has 3 bedrooms with a king bed, queen bed and 2 twins. The houses are older and a bit run down and could use some renovation. Little things needed addressing like the dresser was broken in one room and the drawers were nailed shut in another room. But, the location is great and the pool was wonderful and for a family of 10 with a dog, it worked out great for us. And, there were plenty of chairs and a wagon to take to the beach, so that was helpful. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach. Overall, a good place to stay when visiting Anna Maria Island.

Property in very bad conditions

Bathroom with mold, leaking bathtub, and clogged sink. Dirty, grassy and messy kitchen and grills. Kitchen cabinets extremely old, dirty and messy. Filthy walls, furniture broken and stained. House has nothing to do with the pictures of the website. Linens very used, stained and with wholes. Beach furniture broken. It needs maintenance as soon as possible.

Location, Location

Stayed for a week over Christmas. The house is adorable. Both units are great for families with kids. The lower level unit could use some updates, but we enjoyed it anyway. We congregated on the lower unit. The pool was warm and the grandsons loved it, as did we adults. The neighborhood was quiet and the house is located 2 blocks from the beautiful beach. I would definitely rent again.

Perfect location and very spacious

This AMI rental is just a short walk to amazing Holmes Beach and is incredibly spacious. We spent Thanksgiving week and the pool was 80+ degrees with daytime temps in the low to mid 70’s made a perfect stay. Convenient to shopping, restaurants and other AMI spots. You won’t regret renting this one.

Family Trip to Anna Maria

The property/space/rooms all appeared as the photos represented. The host was responsive when we had questions and quick to remedy a smoke alarm battery situation when it happened. Be prepared to purchase additional toilet paper / paper towels if you have a larger group, we ran out of the provided items by the 2nd day. The home does provide beach towels but they were very worn, so I would suggest bringing your own. The home truly is within walking distance to a great beach and we very much appreciated the provided beach chairs, toys, and wagons. The pool was clean and we enjoyed having that feature. The A/C worked great and kept up with the Florida heat no problems. Overall we had an enjoyable stay!

Best vacation ever

This property was perfect for our family! It had all the extras, laundry detergent, towels, lots of kitchen supplies, toilet paper and trash bags. The walk to the beach was 5 mins, and a super short walk to the trolley as well. We had an amazing time and it was even better being able to bring our dogs along. Highly recommend this property we loved it so much can’t wait to go again!

Great location; house could use some fixing-upping

Anna Maria Island is great and this house is in a wonderful location with accessibility to the beach and to the shops/eateries. We loved the pool, too and spent a ton of time there. The house is decent, but there is some broken furniture to be aware of: the bed in the downstairs master is pretty badly broken, to the point that it was difficult sleeping all week and several of the dressers have broken drawers. And we never did find the remote for the upstairs DVD player so we did not watch the DVDs we brought. It was not enough to spoil our vacation, though.

Perfect for our two family group.

We had a great stay! The beach was a quick walk from the house, about a block away. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We had two families and the setup allowed for us to be together, but in separate floors. Close to stores and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood. Some storms had also rolled though while we were there and blew over the table and umbrella outside. The umbrella sustained some damage. I let the owner know and he had a new umbrella delivered right away. I would recommend this rental to anyone!

Great location close to the beach

This property was awesome for our family! We rented both units for 12 people and it worked great. Short walk to the beach. We rented bikes and a golf cart which were great for getting around the island. Property provided beach chairs, wagons, and beach towels which was a nice benefit.
