Excellent stay

Everything about this property was perfect. The attention to detail was phenomenal. We wanted for nothing. If we thought we needed something it was there for our convenience. The views were the best I have ever seen. I would definitely stay there again. We were sad to leave. It was the perfect getaway. Thank you so much

A little piece of paradise

We cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Garage House! Originally intended only as the home base for our trip to the Redwood National Forest, the Garage House quickly became a main highlight of our trip. The view of the ocean, waking up to the sounds of the waves, and sitting in the hot tub after a long day of hiking were moments that we deeply treasured. The cherry on top, was the location. The town of Trinidad and its local businesses like the Beachcomber, Kayak Trinidad, and the Trinidad Bay Gallery and Eatery were true gems. If we ever have the chance, we would love to stay here again.

Beautiful View

So serene. Just a couple of nit picks: We wish there was an outside table, kleenex in the bathroom, and window treatments in the bedroom that blocked the morning sun a little better. And not a criticism, just an FYI: the hot tub is constantly on....heating or filtering, we don't know what.

Beautiful views!

We loved staying at this beautiful home. You can’t beat the views! It was a perfect location for us to come back to after a day of exploring tide pools or hiking in the redwoods to soak in the hot tub and listen to the waves below us. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Comfortable Relaxing .. Perfect for 2!

We love everything about this property! It's clean with gorgeous views and a comfy bed. We appreciate the walk-in shower and couldn't have been more comfortable than we were. The kitchen was well stocked as we, mostly, cooked in! This host is diligent and truly cares about his guests... we hope to visit again soon!

Peace at the coast

Overall really nice. But something needs to be done with the garbage cans. On arrival the garbage cans were visited by raccoons and they spread garbage all over the back yard and front yard. Of course we cleaned it up. Tightly closed the lids and again the same trash spread all over. I closed lids with bungee cords that worked one day. Then the last night it was bad. A dog got back there and helped spread the refuse. One more cleanup before we left. New strategy needed.

Best sunsets!

This was our fourth year staying at Bill's Garage House, and we once again had a lovely time! It's comfortable, convenient to many, many hikes, and the views overlooking the ocean are just jaw-dropping! The hot tub is also a highlight for us. Bill has an apple tree that had an abundance of apples this year, and encouraged us to take some, so we made an apple pie for Thanksgiving! Thanks Bill!

Lovely stay, amazing views!

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 days at the garage house. The views are incredible and we very much enjoyed the hit tub and listening to the waves at night. The kitchen was well stocked but there were very minimal spices (Salt and pepper). You may want to bring your own or buy from the local market. Also there was no shampoo or conditioner provided, so don't forget to bring your own. We accidently left my boyfriend's watch at the house and the owner was very helpful with mailing it back to us. We would stay again!

As great as we remembered!

We stayed at Garage house 2 or 3 times pre-pandemic and hadn't been back until last week. It is such a wonderful retreat. Getting in is easy, the views as mentioned by many are remarkable and soaks in the tub watching either the surfers or the sunset are memorable. Appreciated the coffee beans and bottle of wine as a plus. Plenty of towels, bedding, etc. Kitchen minimal, but sufficient enough for all meals there for 3 days. While the Murphy Market is pretty good, if you really want to stock up with wonderfully fresh and unusual produce, meats, cheeses, etc. take the 20 minute drive to Arcata and go to North Coast Co-op. We're looking forward to another return and enjoying the relaxation of Garage house.

Trinidad getaway

Our stay in the Garage House was amazing. Walking into the house and seeing the views of the ocean was spectacular. The house is comfortable with everything we needed. It was convenient to the town of Trinidad, the redwoods and beaches and restaurants. We hope to stay there again in the future. We highly recommend the Garage House in Trinidad

Incredible view

We very much enjoyed staying at this property. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The rooms were very pretty and well maintained. The best part of this rental is the view. Main room and bedroom both face the ocean and the view from each is stunning. There is a deck with the same view and we loved sitting out there watching the sunset. We would definitely rent here again.

Perfect getaway near Redwood parks

Perfect for our trip. Short drive from the airport. Convenient shopping in Arcata and Trinidad. Very quiet, only the sound of waves at night. Friendly host. Very clean + amazing views.

Absolutely stunning

What can I say but that this was just heaven on earth. We stayed in this fabulous place for 5 days and it was just amazing. The views were just breathtaking. The area was like you were in a small town . The hottub was great at the end of every day. Beachcombing for sand dollars eary in the morning was such a fun time and the sunsets were magnificent. Had everthing you needed to make meals and the grill was a plus. They even had a bottle of wine waiting for us. My husband and I had a once in a liftime west coast vacation. Was in the perfect vicinity to see all the attractions of the redwoods. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful oceanside cottage.

We won't stay anywhere else!

I usually write a long review about the amazing ocean views and how lovely it is to unwind in their hot tub overlooking the Pacific with a glass of wine after an afternoon of hiking. But I'll just leave it at this: This was our 7th stay in 8 years. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!
