Fresh one-bedroom oceanfront condo located within the gated Amelia Island Plantation Resort! Enjoy the salt air from this spacious 3rd floor balcony!

Decorated with soothing tones and updated with touches like granite countertops in the bathroom, 291 Sandcastles condo is conveniently located within a short walking distance to the main Omni Amelia Island Resort Hotel, where guests are welcome to grab breakfast at the Sunrise Café or a meal at Oceanside, a flip-flop friendly venue by day and an upscale ocean-side dining at night.

Sandcastles Villas is one of the most popular destinations in the picturesque Amelia Island Plantation Resort, where visitors find 3.5 miles of quiet beach, 6 miles of biking and walking trails, as well as the possibility of golf, tennis lessons and spa treatments all within the gates of this world-class resort community. Guests can easily walk to the resort village (known as The Shops at Amelia Island Plantation) for dining, shopping, putt-putt, and a nature center. The Shops provide the perfect little collection of boutiques, designers, gourmet food and art galleries, with live music often being offered on the weekends.

Come experience the beauty of Amelia Island from the home base of this relaxing Sandcastles condo, with its nice furnishings, tasteful fixtures, and fully-equipped kitchen. High-speed wireless internet is provided for the modern traveller's convenience. There are two flat screen televisions in the unit as well, one in the living room and the other in the bedroom. Note that the community laundry rooms are located on the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th floors (this condo is on the 3rd floor.)

Cool off in the refreshing Sandcastles oceanfront pool, which has recently been renovated and has nice loungers for sunbathing.

Do you have to work while away? Our unit has a remote work space equipped with a desk and chair for logging into calls or catching up on emails.

*Please be advised this property is not a rental through the Omni Amelia Island Resort and does not give you access to "resort privileges or amenities” (i.e. the main Omni hotel pool, fitness center or shuttle service), and Racquet Park is limited only to club members and their guests (unless you're booking lessons or clinics). Excellent property!

We were only on Amelia Island for two nights, but this is an excellent facility. Third floor, with a nice balcony overlooking the Atlantic, it would be hard to do better than this. The property is not new, but very well maintained and furnished. Lots of things to do on Amelia and would recommend a longer stay.

Perfect for Relaxing Long Weekend

We were thrilled with our stay here over Labor Day weekend! The complex was quiet, the unit was adorably decorated & cozy with such thoughtful amenities. We mostly enjoyed the stunning sunrises & ocean view from the balcony and relaxing on the beautiful & sparsely populated beach (even on a holiday weekend!). We are looking forward to returning.

All good till the elevator quit working!

The day before check out the elevator quit working and we were up four flights! Not ideal for dragging a weeks worth of luggage, beach chairs and coolers etc… The unit was lovely but there were only 1 set of towels. Also… there was only laundromat -washer/dryer for the entire building! (Also on lower floor! Sooo… also not ideal! Otherwise a nice place to visit

Serene getaway

This was the relaxed, beautiful setting that we had hoped for. Our balcony offered a excellent view of the ocean. We enjoyed our barefoot walks along the beach, which was a short distance down the walkway. Would love to come back.

The Perfect Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay! The unit was as described and was even better than we expected. Not only was it clean and well appointed, it was the perfect place to getaway as a couple. The deck was our favorite place to hang out (100% ocean view) and we really appreciated the beach chairs and towels. The pool was lovely, the parking was plentiful and the beach was beautiful. We will definitely return again and specifically to this condo.

Deceptive photos

Property clean, well maintained and nicely furnished and amenities. However, online photos deceiving as to how small the space really is. Kitchen is extremely small with only enough room for one person at a time. Pictures showed a pantry by entrance into the unit but when we arrived with bags and bags of items the pantry was marked as “owner closet” and locked so there was absolutely NO space -NONE - provided to store groceries - not even an empty cabinet. Also renters are not allowed to use the garage disposal - really- why even have one? Tried several times the first couple of days to call property management with some questions only to receive a “not available” response EVERY time. We really wanted to like this property but it is just way too small for our needs plus non-responsive management. Being former residents of Amelia Island we visit several times a year and occasionally like to try different properties but after this will stick with other properties that we’re more familiar with for our rental needs through VACASA. Unit itself nice but wasn’t at all impressed with Sandcastles as a whole. Only property we’ve rented that didn’t provide in unit laundry and having to use public community laundry facilities is a whole other story.

A week on the beach

We had a wonderful time. We saw gopher tortoises just about every day. We even saw the Beach Turtle patrol help two Loggerheads make it from their nest to the ocean. The condo was very tastefully decorated and had all the amenities. The property manager was very responsive to a suggestion we made for an improvement of the experience in the future. We highly recommend this condo.

Quiet stay on the beach

Property was comfortable and peaceful. Loved spending time on the beach during the day and hearing the ocean at night. We needed to get away from home for a few days at Halloween this year (but not too far) and this suited our needs, though a bit out of our budget.

Perfect!

Very clean and nicely updated space. Great location, just walk onto the beach. Quiet but still near great restaurant and shopping options. The complex looks new, but is not. Its very well maintained and in fantastic condition.

Very relaxing place!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute condo. It is nicely decorated and very clean. It was so quiet and relaxing to just sit on the balcony and have the best view. We only had one issue with Television, we had to get help to watch Georgia game but guy came by and was very nice and helped us. (I wish I could remember his name) We will return soon!!

This condo is pretty and much larger than expected. Lots of additional touches and conveniences inside the condo than expected; much appreciated! So nice to have beach chairs, umbrella, etc. included as well. Management easy to communicate with. Will stay here again!
