Amazing Mountain View & Cabin Retreat - Big Canoe

Amazing mountain cabin located in Big Canoe Community! Gated security welcomes you to your mountain retreat filled with fun activities such as golf, fishing, trails, boating, kayaking, swimming, tennis, lakes and more! The cabin also offer fun activities such as fire places, pool table, bar, bar seating, wine cellar, TVs, Outdoor TV, bluetooth speakers, retro arcade games, BBQ and three patio areas all over looking the mountains for an amazing view. With 6 bedrooms (each with an amazing view one of them being an in law Suite) with their own private bathrooms makes this a perfect vacation retreat from any large family.

Cabin is fully equipped with an automatic generator to power the whole cabin if needed. Big Canoe community/vacation area does not allow motorcycles, trailers or bicycling with in the gates. Driveway can fit 2 cars in the garage and an additional 3-4 cars on the drive way depending on car size. Note that Golf, Swimming Pools, Tennis and Boat rentals have a daily rate for use. Family and Friend Sprimg break trip!

We had the BEST time here!! We had 4 families with ages ranging from 2 to 38 and never once felt crowded. Everything we could ever need was supplied at the house. Highly reccomend this house for your stay! 5 stars all around!!!!

Wedding weekend

Staying with extended family for an out of town wedding. Great property, every bedroom had its own bathroom and plenty of space for everyone to spread out. All with beautiful views!

Perfect House

This was the perfect house for a large family group! There were places to have fun and be loud, spots to be cozy and enjoy the outdoors, and areas the family could be together and watch a movie. Would for sure stay again.

Long weekend for daughters wedding

This property is amazing!! So much room and plenty of amenities onsite. The porches are so relaxing and I am already wanting to go back!! Kitchen is well stocked and everything was just as described! If you are on the fence about renting this, run and do it now!! Beautiful place and we definitely be back !!

Perfect for our family

We have been going to the Big Canoe for three years now. This was the best by far. Great space and location to many activities. House was well equipped with what we needed. Owner called us while we were there to see if we needed anything to help enjoy our stay. We will be back.

Annual Family Mountain Trip

We had a wonderful time at this absolutely gorgeous cabin. The cabin was very spacious for our large gathering. The whole cabin was well stocked from linens, blankets, kitchen etc.. The owner was excellent to work with ,very easy check in and out.

Great Property!

This is the second time we've booked this property for a yearly golf trip with a group of 8 and hopefully we'll continue doing so. The house has everything you would need and the communication with the host is fantastic! Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely Beautiful Mountain Mansion

My family and I had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful cabin in March of 2022. This was the most beautiful property that we have ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious, check in process was seamless and everyone thoroughly loved the stay. Thank you !

Incredible cabin with all the space and all the amenities you need.

The Toom family Cabin was a wonderful experience for me and my family, we really enjoyed everything about the cabin it had a place for everyone to get away and enjoy themselves as well as big enough to come together and eat and laugh and have a good time. Two thumbs up for such a lovely place, and I will recommend this cabin to everyone I know.

Last wish vacation

The property was beautiful especially in the sunrise and sunset. This was my dad’s last wish to have everyone together and this place did just that. It is kind of remote with Walmart being about 30 minutes away, but the IGA is only about 10-15 minutes. All the other towns are only about an hour drive. It’s such a beautiful area I would definitely make a second trip back!

Blackbeard is a beautiful home that accommodated our extended family of 10 perfectly! Super comfy bedding, quality furnishings and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and the patios. Hassan was very responsive to all our questions as well.

Beautiful mountain house with spectacular views!

This property is at the top of our list! My family & sisters families go on a trip every MLK weekend. We loved the space , games & Mountain View’s. The kitchen was large & well stocked. The bedrooms & bathrooms were large. The house was easy to get to & the neighborhood was well taken care of.

Wonderful Second Stay at Tooms Cabin!

This was my second time staying at Tooms Cabin in Big Canoe and it did not disappoint! The house and grounds were all beautiful and true to pictures displayed. It had ample space for the 7 of us who stayed overnight and enough for a day with additional guests who visited over the weekend. Any minor issues or questions we had were quickly addressed by Hassan. I would highly recommend this home and look forward to an opportunity to visit again!

Awesome gateway time

It is our second time here and we love this house. It is spacious, light and comfortable. Kitchen is so well stocked, beds are comfortable, porch has amazing view. Neighborhood has plenty to do: hiking, playgrounds, lake with rest area, ice cream shop close by. It is beautiful there during fall. The host is quick to respond. Everything was perfect. We will be back again.

Family Ladies yearly Getaway

Our 31st year for all the Ladies in our family to get away together for 4 days. The house was well stocked with all necessary items you would need daily . Very clean and an Excellent VRBO house and location. Would highly recommend this one and would go back again. The owner was extremely helpful and was always just a call away if needed . The only thing we might recommend that needs to be added to the house would be a card table and chairs. Will rate it a Five Star VRBO.

This facility is exactly what you see. Amazing, beautiful, spacious, I cannot give enough adjectives. HOWEVER, I must say that out of everything , I appreciated the communication from the owner the most. Best experience I have ever had. Cannot wait to stay here again.

Fantastic Mountain Retreat!

This roomy house overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains in northern Georgia was just what we needed to gather our extended family! The well-kept, well-appointed property had everything we could have asked for to make our vacation awesome. The local flora and fauna, including deer and the very rare black bear, make this kind of retreat really interesting. The easy access to hiking trails, parks, a community pool, lakes, and more were just what we needed. And nearby towns provided access to essentials to include restaurants and groceries. We highly recommend that you consider a stay in this beautiful area, and this home met all our needs in style!

Absolutely perfect!

We were so pleased with our vacation rental choice. From the beginning the owners were very communicative and spelled out all we needed to make this a seamless adventure. The house is beyond beautiful and has everything you could ever need, from majestic views to comfy beds and all in between. The house is located near the North gate entrance so access was easy and we avoided many of the winding roads. We used both recreational centers, completed several hikes, watched sunsets from the back porch, had family dinners around the big dining table and just had an all around wonderful time. A beautiful place and a wonderful trip.

Family Vacation

Overall very comfortable place to stay. Very pretty views from the dining room, living room and deck. More than enough linens, bedding, towels. Communication and check in was very easy. The only thing I would say could have been improved but we worked around it was the kitchen pots/pans have a great deal of chipping of the non stick coating and the knifes are random brands/sizes that are worn pretty heavily and dull. It made cooking a little more difficult. But otherwise a nicely stocked kitchen with dishes, crock pot, blender, Keurig coffee, espresso machine, standard coffee pot plus others. The trails, lake beaches, rock slide, and pool was very nice. Good grocery store within 2 miles of the entrance so no need to get a bunch of groceries if traveling from far away. With the overall many positives with the stay we readily still rated the stay at 5 stars.

Great house / Great owner / you get what you pay for

Great for 13 person family vacation. Check-in delayed (other renter fault, not owner) and dishwasher broken. Owner was super responsive and apologetic. Did everything to make things right. I even mentioned some rooms without curtains and he had temporary curtains installed until newer ones could be arranged! We've rented many homes and this was the most accountable and responsive owner we've had. He had a new dishwasher installed in 2 days! 5 stars for owner (he's out of state, but 98% of things can be handled by phone) The house itself: Pros--huge house, fantastic kitchen for cooking for big group, clean, everything labeled, deck with amazing mountain view (had cool sunset dinners every night), great screened-in porch to chat away from kids when it gets buggy, second fridge in garage, good large grill, awesome suite above garage for older kids/parents if needed. Cons (all very minor) - driveway is narrow with steep drop-off and tiny turn around, tricky to drive out--especially with multiple cars, but you have garage available for parking too. Didn't have curtains in all rooms for those that sleep in, but he is fixing that now. Love extra icemaker but wish it was in kitchen instead of basement bar. All very minor nits. Overall:Great property, great owner. It is expensive but great for big groups. Big Canoe will nickel and dime you for amenities/pools/lake but they are nice. Golf course is really nice too. Wasn't sure about Big Canoe at first, now thinking about coming back!
