Offrant une vue époustouflante et s'étendant sur 80 acres bordant la forêt domaniale et le fleuve Fraser, notre belle maison a été présentée dans Colorado Homes and Lifestyles et montrée dans Dream Builders de Home and Garden Channel!

Situé à seulement quelques minutes de la station de ski Winter Park, du centre de ski de fond Devil's Thumb et du parcours de golf 27 trous de Pole Creek. Accès depuis la porte au ski de fond, à la raquette, à la randonnée, au vélo de montagne et à la pêche à la mouche sur la médaille d’or du fleuve Fraser. Cette maison de 8000 pieds carrés est dotée de toutes les commodités nécessaires pour rendre votre séjour parfait: toutes les chambres avec salles de bain privées, une grande suite parentale avec coin conversation et cheminée et un bureau privé, deux salons avec cheminées, 4 terrasses, 2 patios, une grande cuisine avec une table pour 12 personnes, une salle à manger pour 12 personnes, une véranda, un bain à remous extérieur et une salle de billard. This property not only has beautiful views but the outdoors is so easy to enjoy right from the property with hiking trails. The Host is so easy to communicate with throughout the stay as well. The home itself has everything you need and the kitchen was exceptional.

Best stay EVER!!!

We have been coming to Winter Park for over 40 years and this was the best place yet! The views are mind blowingly beautiful. The house was completely breathtaking and the hospitality was bar none. Couldn’t have picked a better place! Saw some awesome wildlife including many birds, a rabbit and an arctic fox!!

A great location with plenty of space to relax

Great for large group Winter Park ski trip!

Absolutely incredible! Beautiful views! Awesome location close to Winter Park and Grand Lake/ RMNP. We skiid and snowmobiled, and it was the adventure of a lifetime! The house was gorgeous and came with everything we needed, including a stocked kitchen with 3 ovens. Plenty of beds and lounge spaces. The property manager was very prompt in communication and kind. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property with plenty of room

This was our second time staying at the Craglough House with extended family (6 adults, 4 children). There is plenty of room for everyone, ample cooking supplies, a beautiful view and lots of neat places to explore just in the area around the property. Easy drive to Winter Park, super close to Devil’s Thumb Ranch for food/spa. All in all, pretty darn perfect! The owners are great to work with as well.

Beautiful view. Perfect having each bedroom with its own bathroom. Gorgeous views.

Plenty of dishes, silverware and cookware. We had everything we needed. Our family of 10 easily sat at the dinner and kitchen tables for meals. We enjoyed the decks immensely and the scenery. Couldn't have asked for more.

Mountain PERFECTION!

I hosted a women's retreat for 15 adults, and this was the absolute perfect home. I could not believe the high quality and abundance of serving dishes, appliances, and cooking ware. WOW! There are so many little private spaces perfect for gathering and conversations. The caretaker was a real jewel, and the home is in fantastic condition with unique furnishings. I will stay here again and again!

An Incredible Escape

The house itself is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. It's incredibly spacious (yet cozy), well furnished, full of all the amenities that you might need, incredible views as well as being nicely isolated to enjoy some peace and tranquility (even though the slopes and the town are only minutes away). The owners of the property are incredibly accommodating and very responsive; they have made our stay even better than we could've imagined. We can't wait to stay here again once we're in the Winter Park area.

amazing views!

Mountain views out every room. house was well designed, great floor plan. we walked down strawberry road every day and up trails into the mountains. we were blessed to see three moose and a fox. We skied at Winter Park 12 min drive, soaked in the sulfur hot spring 30 min away. If I ever build a house I would love for it to look and feel like this fantastic home. loved our stay here!

Dream Vacation

This house has everything you could wish for and more. The pictures simply don't do it justice. The kids enjoyed pool tournaments while the adults congregated in the huge kitchen which made preparing meals for our large group a breeze. Next time we'll extend our stay just to spend more time relaxing and enjoying the views. We can't wait to come back next year!

Perfect Stay

We meet up with family at the house and had an amazing time. The house had more than enough room and we were able to explore around the property which was huge. We went in the hot tub nightly. Watched the sunset. Had big meals around the kitchen table. We saw marmots and moose right from the back porch. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Breathtaking Thanksgiving Holiday!

This was by far the most enjoyable memorable experience for our Family! Unforgettable views and Memories made by all! Amazing views from every window at Property. Craglough House was built by Bill and Joyce Carpenter as their dream home. Joyce is a retired social worker from the Social Work Department at the University of South Florida. Bill is a retired professor and former chairman of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The house is modeled on Cragside, a Victorian mansion in Northern England. David Elfring, a renowned architect, captured the spirit of Cragside but with modern conveniences.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Joyce and I fell in love with Colorado many years ago. We spent several years looking for the perfect spot. We found the current location in the early 1980s and then proceeded to buy all the land we could afford. By 1997, we had acquired 80 acres and then started house construction. Improving the road, bringing in electricity, telephone, and building the house were epic tasks. You will enjoy the products of the effort.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have a wonderful view of the Fraser River and Canyon and Byers Peak and the adjacent mountain ranges. Guests can walk down to the meadow and access the Fraser River for fishing if they wish and have "out of the door access " to the Strawberry Road Recreation Area for both Summer and Winter activities. The house has antique fireplace surrounds in the downstairs living room and Craglough suite. There is a sun room full of geraniums off the kitchen which also leads onto a balcony. The house's four balconies and patios all offer lovely and varied views of the surrounding countryside. Craglough House offers opportunities for both individual privacy and for family gatherings.
