ABOUT US
MANUEL was born in the heart of the Osa Peninsula, Miguel, his father, revealed to him all the secrets of the rainforest. It was his playground.
One day, an American foundation bought a large part of the property. Scientists came to work near the family home. With his knowledge, he became their guide... On their side, they also taught him a lot about the natural wealth of his native land. He then became the head of the foundation's turtle protection program.
At a very young age, he became interested in wildlife photography and presented his work in solo exhibitions in the United States.
Today, Manuel manage a program for the protection of sea turtles.
After an exciting but stressful professional career in France, PASCAL wanted to change his life. He chose the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica for its exceptional natural wealth, the beauty of its landscapes, its people and the development of sustainable tourism.
Four years ago, Pascal met Manuel, they got married. and TOGETHER, they have been developing this Finca project where they try to live a simply, and self sufficiency life. They are developing a reforestation program, growing cocoa and vanilla, and building tree houses...
Today, they wishes to share with you this little corner of paradise and their passion for this incredible region.
TERRA INCOGNITA is an old traditional farm. Like all farms in these wild regions, it has been partly deforested. Nonetheless, many peri-peripheral or more inaccessible areas have been preserved.
Our project consists of supporting natural reforestation and reintroducing the biodiversity lost when the most maderable varieties of trees were cut down, as well as developing traditional cultures such as cocoa and vanilla.
Our dream is to share all this. We want to build wood and tree houses to welcome tourists, open trails and build platforms for animal and bird watching.
