Perfect for the Family to Escape to one of South Carolinas last non commercialized beaches! Edisto is a beautiful island, lined with bike paths, state parks and more. Our 4 bedroom 2 bath home has everything you would need for your family's beach trip only a few minutes walk to the beach. Fall in love with Edisto!

Our house:
Come unwind at our classic Edisto beach getaway. Just 5 blocks (and only a 5 minute walk) from the beach and conveniently located near some popular island restaurants. If you want to leave the beautiful marsh view from the back screened porch, Hop on the bike path and explore the island. Adventure to Botany Bay to look at all the Conch Shells or let your kids fish at Jason’s Lake.

There is a wonderful large sitting space under the house with lots of room to store your bikes and beach gear, and shower off in our outdoor shower and relax in the shade. Also an outdoor ping pong table for kids and adults to enjoy! There is an extra fridge in the work room in case you need more room.

Our kitchen is fully set up with everything you could possibly need! Coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave and more.
While our look may seem more 1980s golden girls - this house has all you need and more!

The master bedroom has a walk in closet, a queen sized bed with a brand new mattress and has a day bed if needed for extra space or a nice nap. This room shares a jack and Jill bathroom with a stand up shower.
Bedroom 2 shares the jack and Jill bathroom and has two full beds with brand new mattresses.
Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed with a brand new mattress and a nice size closet for storage and to hang up clothes. This room is right beside the second bathroom.

The 2nd bathroom has a shower tub combo and lots of room to hang towels.
On the other side of this bathroom is Bedroom number 4 - a fun kids room with two bunk beds - new mattresses and sleeps 4.

Linens are provided - they will be cleaned and stacked on each bed for you to make up when you arrive.

From our Apple TV, log into your Netflix or Hulu account and watch movies from our flat screen smart TV.

We do not provide cable or satellite television. We provide WIFI access. There are some board games there to play and many books to enjoy.

Bring:
Beach towels, the towels provided are not for the beach, only the bath.

We have central air and heat and a washer and dryer available for guests. You will have access to the whole house! We keep our personal belongings in one of the storage units under the house and in a locked closet in the hallway.

Summer bookings are mostly weekly with a check in/out on MONDAYS.

You will need to bring your own beach towels, TP - only septic friendly, trash bags, paper towels, soaps, shampoos and conditioners. There is a complete list of things to bring that will come to you once you book.

There is NO CABLE, but a smart TV (Apple TV) you can log into your netflix or Hulu account.

The freight elevator is locked and unavailable for renters.

The owners golf cart and boat are locked and not available to renters because of insurance policy.

Hidden gem

I probably shouldn’t be saying this, in fact I was told by several locals to keep this a secret. Edisto is truly a hidden gem. It is one of those well kept secrets that is best left a secret. The beaches are beautiful and quiet. If you are looking to stay on a quaint little island away from all the crazy, this is the place.

Wonderful Place

We had a great time! The house was clean, cozy and had a wonderfully big living room and breezy porch. The beds were comfortable. We loved being close to the marsh as well as a block or two from the beach - easy walking distance. We were very comfortable and would easily stay here again! Bonus: lots of Jimmy Buffet records!

Home was beautifully located on the quiet back roads. Well equipped & plenty of room for the family

Perfect location for a quiet stay with beautiful sunset views. Short walk or ride to beach access. Home was older and furnishes were dated but well stocked and comfortable beds which is a must for us!! We loved the outside shower for the kids in the afternoon after a day at the beach. The two fridges were a huge plus too!!

Vintage beach shag house.

Great shag beach house. Home is older and comfortable. Vintage furnished. Record turntable with albums from Rush, John Denver, BeeGees and more. Puzzles, books and games available for guests. Porches and game area below to enjoy with family. Close proximity to beach, groceries and popular island restaurants. Host easy to communicate. Our group had a great trip and made fun memories.

Mostly very pleasant

Generally our stay was very good. We loved the location - an easy walk to the beach. We liked the beds and the layout of the place. There were a few things that needed attention and the manager addressed them promptly. A few items in the house need some tlc - the back porch was not clean. The living room furniture was clean but could use some sprucing up. The back deck/steps need some major attention. Overall if you know what you are getting yourself into and not expecting this to be the most up to date place it was a very pleasant week.

2024 family vacation

Upon arrival the owner did email me to advise me the tv was broken and that she would send her handy man out the next day with a new one. He did arrive lunchtime the next day as planned. Even though you could log into Wi-Fi you could not get a signal unless you were on the back porch or on jungle Road The website indicated there was a hot tub. There was in fact, not a hot tub. The kitchen could stand to have a little bit more utensils When cooking seafood, I was able to find the crackers and forks and knives at the local grocery. All in all it worked well for our family for eating meals together, relaxing together and sleeping. We were there for the beach and that’s what we Did every chance we got.

Clean, Comfortable, and Homey

There were a couple of amenities which were not available to us. The one which could have made a big difference for me being 67 yrs. old was the luggage lift. The stairs were hard loading and unloading. But, the worst negative was the house needed to be sprayed for roaches. However; the teens thoroughly enjoyed the pool table and the close access to the shops by bikes. Its a great house for families. The large table was great. We all enjoyed meals and games all together with comfortable seating.

4 generations of family makes a great vacation.

There were a few problems with the home that could have caused problems during our vacation but we didn’t let them spoil our fun. 1. The rugs were a trip hazard especially for older folks and they hurt our bare feet. 2. While the beds were comfortable, there wasn’t a truly comfortable chair in the house and the upholstery and slip covers need to be cleaned. We still had a great time, we Ives the location and will keep and eye on the listing to see if any of these problems are addressed before we would rent again. .

Run Down Property! Needs some TLC!

Very disappointed! Outside areas were very dirty. You couldn’t sit on any furniture without cleaning first. All porch cushions and swing were so dirty you could sit on them. The house needs to be strayed. Roaches in kitchen. Refrigerators and pantry had food in them from pervious guest. Pots, pans, and silverware were not clean. Looked like it was put away dirty.

Jute rugs need tossed!

Could not use the laundry due to extreme mold. We attempted to air it out but all started coughing from fumes. Bring linens/towels because there’s barely enough & you can’t wash them. Mold in the stand alone shower! My 73 year old sister tripped on the bunched up just rug in living room on last day. She has harsh imprints & scrapes from the rug. Came literally within a hair of hitting her head on the side table. Watch out when opening upper cabinet to right of sink. It hits the blades of the fan! Steps were horrid. We sure wished the freight elevator was available!

Fall Break

The house was just what we needed. We cooked all our meals and we had plenty of room and plenty of cookware, utensils, plates, cups, silverware and everything to cook with. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of seating in the living room for all. Close to the beach to walk which was so nice. The only problem was the house was dirty when we arrived. It needed sweeping, vacuuming both inside and outside. Stains and dirt on the single bed in the one bedroom and also on the couch outside.

Location Location Location!

What a great home! Situated about halfway down Jungle Rd, about 2 blocks walk to the beach. Rent a cart and it’s a short ride to everything! This home had everything we would’ve wanted: clean, spacious, ceiling fans in every room, nice cold AC, all the utensils and cookware we needed, a propane grill, fast Internet, tons of board games, clean sheets and towels. I could go on and on about the house. Plenty of seats, screened in porch, ping pong table downstairs, just a beautiful house. Kids kinda fussed about having only the 1 TV that was in the living room, but it made watching family movies and playing the Wii even more fun (very clear TV by the way). The owner was very friendly and responded quickly to questions. Check in and out was very easy. Hope to be able to stay again, highly recommended!

Making memories!

Our week at Edisto was great! The house was plenty spacey and comfortable. It was so nice not to have to pack linens! Beds slept very well. Had plenty of parking. As it turned out we only had 4 of our family members(2 cars) there but we could have easily had parking for the extra 2 cars we were expecting and a boat. We would definitely recommend this house to others. Our hostess was very responsive to questions.

Great Visit - Would Return

We enjoyed our first visit to Edisto Island and found this property just as described. Quick and pleasant communication with owners, walk to beach access easy, and plenty of room to back-in our boat. (There is also generous vehicle space on the back side of residence.) We would come back to this property.

505 Jungle Vacation

We truly enjoyed the stay at Edisto Beach. The house has all the amenities we needed and more. The location is perfect for beach access, a walk or golf cart ride around the area. The dual access from the front and back was wonderful. Love the morning coffee on the porch. Molly is a great host and answered all my questions quickly. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Great Thanksgiving week

We had a great stay. The house was very roomy accommodating my family (6 adults) with ease. Check in and out was straightforward. View of the Edisto River on the back porch. The only issue was the texture of the rugs- they hurt our feet so we couldn’t go barefoot inside.

We Love Edisto

Very spacious and clean beach house. Perfect size for a small family. Comfortable beds and well equipped. The luggage elevator is a huge plus. We would definitely stay here again!

Classic Beach Hideaway

This home was just as advertised, a classic beach home that is very cozy and comfortable and convenient to beach, food and stores. The house was plenty large enough for 7 adult sized individuals without feeling crowded. Molly was a gem to work with and took immediate care of any questions or needs we had. Lots of personal touches to make your stay feel like a home( like the plush throws in the family area, nice touch). Thank you for sharing your home without family
