TurtleShell - Walk to Crystal Beach. Cargo Lift!

Charming beach cottage 7th row with maximum comfort and modern amenities including a Cargo Lift. (Not for Humans.) Turtle Shell is the perfect home to make memories on the beach. Located on a large lot with plenty of space to play and a downstairs covered patio/driveway with free WIFI, BBQ grill, tiki bar, picnic table, swinging bench, dart game and outdoor lighting. Please don't park on the grass or street. You’ll have direct access to the beach with a short walk or drive within a mile from the beach. Many restaurants and shopping are within a mile. We have an amazing set up with an open concept and a separate game room with mini-fridge, Smart TV and pull-out couch. (So, the kids can watch their own movies!) Sleeps 8 max. Enjoy your own Smart TV in the bedrooms and living room including Roku and YouTube TV. We renovated Turtle Shell to open the space and make a laid-back beach haven that everyone can enjoy, and we make sure our guests are taken care of by providing linens, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, laundry detergent, dish soap and dishwasher pods. We just want you to bring your vacation gear, food and drinks and your beach attitude! Turtle Shell is well equipped with everything you need including the use of the fully equipped kitchen to cook you and your loved ones a delicious meal. We have a Microwave, SS Refrigerator, Electric Range, dishwasher, coffee maker, Keurig, Toaster, Blender, and washer and dryer. After having enjoyed a nice day at the beach, long after the sun has set, hang out on the upper deck under the stars and enjoy the cool coastal breeze. Guests will be given a 4-digit lock code prior to arrival for contactless check-in. Getting around the neighborhood is easy either with walking to the beach or with a vehicle. You can drive on the beach (with a $10 parking sticker). Golf cart rentals are available as well. If you would like to rent a golf cart, we recommend you do so as soon as possible! The nearby golf cart rental companies tend to get booked quickly. If you would like assistance in obtaining contact information for the rental companies nearby, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.
PETS: Dogs only. An additional $75 will be added if bringing a pet. Two dogs are our limit. No dangerous breeds. Pet must be 50lbs or under. No Cats.

Great place great location

Had a great stay, good location. Only issue was the door code was not what was told. Had to contact host at midnight, I felt terrible for waking her up but she got us in quickly. Would definitely stay again

Long Weekend Getaway

This property was exactly as it was shown in the listing and was perfect for our extended weekend away. Easy access to the beach, to stores, to the highway, etc. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend and a way to close out our summer. So good that we are planning to return multiple times this coming year. Thanks for having us!

Great Place to Stay!

The porch and outside shower were really nice. The house supplied all of our needs and more. It was nice to have a second living/bedroom with a tv. We especially liked the close access to the beach without having to cross a highway. I would rent it again.

The house was so beautiful and the perfect size. My boyfriend and I came for an Easter get away with our 2 dogs and it was perfect! So close to the beach and the house was the perfect size.

Family weekend getaway

Just what our family needed for a quick weekend away. The teen enjoyed having her own space in the second living area with tv and sofa. Elevator was a nice perk to bring our belongings up to the house.

Comfortable house

Turtle Shell is a lovely house for a weekend, clean and well located. The beach can get a bit crowded with trucks and golf cars.

Great property, perfect location

We spent what turned out to be a rather cold spring break here. The house was great and close enough to the beach for ease, but far enough to feel more secluded. It was clean with adequate amenities to cook basic meals. Enough room to not argue over what to watch on TV and some fun games to play. We definitely recommend renting the golf cart, it was great to drive on the beach. Also highly recommend Jose's Cantina for dinner!

Amazing Stay

We had a blast at the Turtle Shell! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We rented a golf cart (I recommend everyone do that, it was a BLAST) it was close to the beach, close to stores, and we even found a local restaurant to eat at our last night. Thank you so much again, we can't wait to get back!

Nice, clean, quiet retreat

The house was clean and nice - very simple. Just a short walk to the beach. We flew to TX for a concert and then drove to crystal beach for a few days, if you’re traveling from out of town there isn’t beach gear to use like chairs, umbrella, etc. not the owner’s fault by any means. I should’ve asked those questions prior to booking. If we were more local and could drive and bring our own beach gear we’d stay again - but likely to stay somewhere that includes umbrellas, chairs, golf carts etc. especially if we bring our family. We bought a cheap umbrella at the local store but would’ve preferred not to. Other than that the house was in a nice quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Very happy with our stay! We wished we could have stayed longer!

Great location in comparison to the beach, stores, and restaurants! Our only complaints are we could not locate the remote to the TV in the bedroom and the fan would not stay on without the light. Everything else was fantastic!

The Perfect Beach House

We really loved everything about The Turtle Shell. The house is very close to the beach and in a great neighborhood. The booking process was easy and when we arrived to the house, everything was easy to access and the house was very clean. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. Crystal beach is the perfect Texas beach getaway. We love the fact you can drive your vehicle or golf cart directly on the beach. It’s not to crowded either. Our young child and our adult child both found plenty of fun activities for all! We will be back to The Turtle Shell soon.

We live in the DFW area. We love coming to the beach house to relax and feel the sand in our toes. We love sharing our beach house with others so they can enjoy it too.

We love this quiet neighborhood, and many owners live in the subdivision. Emerald Beach 2 is one of the most desired neighborhoods. Our house is a short walk to the beach. We also love driving our vehicle and parking on the beach; set up your canopy, turn on your tunes and stay the day.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our property has plenty of room for the kids to play games while the adults cook out on the BBQ grill, listening to your music on our blue tooth speakers and our hot and cold shower outdoors makes it easy to get the sand off when you come back from the beach. Our Cargo Lift is wonderful for carrying up your groceries and luggage.
