The Cape House is warm and cozy, complete with tasteful up to date furnishings and a newly remodeled living room and kitchen with granite counter-tops and all new stainless steel appliances. Your whole family will enjoy the quality time playing in the salt water swimming pool which is open during summer months. There is a beautiful grape arbor and wild blackberries in the dunes along the front of the property to be enjoyed. Best of all, you're just a short stroll (down Rock Lane) to a beautiful non-bulk headed (unobstructed), sandy beach.

Additionally, there is no public or on street parking and therefore the number of beachgoers is generally limited to only homeowners or rental guests. The beach is wide and there is lots of room to spread out as well.

* Pool season Mid May to September 30th. (pool open earlier if weather favorable and not heated)
*When pre-booking, please be aware local taxes are no longer being included in the total rental amount shown by VRBO
* Pillows, blankets and comforters are provided.
* Linens (bed sheets, pillowcases and towels) are not included but are available to rent from a local vendor: linen rental www.rentbeachequipment.com or oceanrentalsltd.com
* Minimum age requirement to rent 27 **
* Base rate is a Off season rate from Mid October to 3 week of May**

Great location , nice home , but smaller than the posted pictures

Great location , 1.5 blocks away from the beach . The inside of the home was smaller than what we expected based on the pictures but it was cozy. And the owners should have lowered the off season cost since the pool was not available .

Beautiful Home

This home was more than i expected. It was spacious enough for 5 adults and 1 child or multiple children. I say Home because you can stay at anyones house but this was very homie comfortable warm and a nice quiet neighborhood. I would love to stay again.

Nice Virginia Beach beach house

The property and the location by the beach were great and as advertised. The hosts responded immediately when Netflix did not work in the living room (but did in the other rooms). A couple of days into our stay the freezer malfunctioned. Also the trash bins had not been emptied from the previous guests and the trash was not picked up during our visit when we put it out for pick up. This would be a great place for a return family visit in the summer with the pool and beach. We rented linens from ocean rentals and they were very good.

Sandbridge gem

Enjoyed this sweet house that’s a very easy walk to the beach. Nice pool and deck + yard big enough to throw the ball for my dogs and give them room to run around. Good amenities in the house. Safe neighborhood with friendly people out walking. Quick drive to good restaurants and a little market. Hosts are accommodating and quickly respond to questions. Would recommend!

Location was great/cleanliness so great

Overall the house and location was great, proximity to beach-great, pool-great. Ability to unplug-great. The cleanliness was not so great. Owner offered to reclean but would have impacted my day and disturbed my pets. I spent my 1st morning cleaning.

Family Vacation

Loved it! Lots of pool toys for the kids... didn't even unpack ours. Very nice on inside. Only not great part was spiders outside under deck and in garage. I would ABSOLUTELY stay there again!!! aND i JUST MIGHT!!!

Great little house

We had a great week and enjoyed the house and the closeness to the beach. Great that there were beach toys there for our grandson. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture. We had an issue at the beginning, but the owner quickly answered and had someone there to fix the problem on Monday.

Fun getaway

We enjoyed our rental ! It was very accommodating for us - had games and beach supplies that we didn’t expect for kids . Kitchen had everything you could possibly need - 2 grills outside . Friends with young families beach week

Well appointed cozy beach house. The Cape House, was a great location for college friends with young families to come together for a beach week in this new phase of life. The owners were very accommodating and forthcoming on the property size for our young family group. The house was very clean and well appointed with top performing appliances (ac, washer dryer, outdoor shower, kitchen appliances). The prep communications were clear and efficient. We were well prepared to have a great week. The location is perfect to get to and from the beach with all the little kid supplies. The pool was idyllic and pool cleaner service was exceptional. There were quite a few flies, but likely due to rains prior to our arrival. We brought fly traps and felt relief while enjoying the outdoor space. Perfect family oriented home and neighborhood for our group. Looking forward to continuing this tradition with our families for years to come. Thank you to our gracious and attentive hosts.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay here in Sandbridge. Quiet neighborhood and great for riding bikes. Great walking distance to the beach. Enjoyed the seeing Dolphins and crabs on the beach.

Would definitely book this property again!

The house and pool were both great. We loved the location-the walk to the beach ( which is beautiful) is just as close as it says. Restaurants and shopping are a short drive away. We had a wonderful time.

Great spot!

We are a family of 6 with 4 small children under 8. We loved the quiet location. The beach access was across 2 streets, which was easy to cross and get to the beach even with little ones. Our kids also appreciated the swing set when they were not swimming or enjoying the beach. We also brought our small dog along, which had a safe gated spot to run around in. The host was quick to respond to questions and accommodated us a little earlier to check in. Overall, we loved our time there and plan to return next year!

Loved the property and the hosting party was very responsive and kind to us. The only suggestion would be to put a runner or step covers on the staircases to prevent slips. Other than that it was a great experience!!!
