Look no further for a beautiful and spacious property for a price that is a deal.
This is a beautiful, well decorated 3 bedroom unit!

We invite you to enjoy all the luxuries of this great condo such as tile floors, granite counters, large bathrooms and closets. It is perfect for easy living with some extra space for all your personal items.

The property is DESTIN WEST BEACH AND BAY RESORT located on Okaloosa Island. The property has several hot tubs and pools and is walking distance to several restaurants and shopping.

This is a sixth floor unit that is over 1500 sq/ft. We have a king sized bed in the master and second guest bedroom with tvs in every bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a gourmet meal if you were so inclined.

Extra touches for our guests include: pack n play, Beach wagon, 3-4 beach chairs, high chair

Great location and amenities.

Very nice condo. Location was great. Lanai overlooked the pools and the bay. Kitchen was set up nicely although it was difficult to control the burners on the stove. Remote controls did not work- maybe they were switched around as there were a lot of TV's, but probably should be marked if that is the case. Lastly, the sofa bed was very old and too uncomfortable for even a teenager to sleep in. Upholstery was very worn and not very clean. Would suggest updating to something more stain resistant. We still had a great time and would definitely visit again.

Perfect family vacation

This condo offered the best of everything. Within a short walk from the condo we fished, enjoyed the pool, built sandcastles on the beach, and watched beautiful sunrises. This condo was also conveniently located close to all the fun restaurants and activities the beach has to offer. I highly recommend.

Very outdated ice maker never fixed and from previous reviews it was already on the blink before our stay. Management did provide us with bag ice which was a plus. Cleaning wasn't the best. Microwave seems to be on its last leg. The men in our family knew to unplug it and the touch panel would start working again.

Condo issues

The ice maker did not work and they were unable to fix it three days later when they finally got someone out there. He was able to fix the dishwasher that leaked water all over the floor the first time it was used. I made calls to all the maintenance issues numbers starting the afternoon we checked in...it was nice besides these issues and having to drive and buy ice as there was none available at the wgole property.

Enjoyable vacation

We've stayed in this property before and liked it enough to return. Although there were a couple of maintenance issues, someone came quickly to take care of them. The only negatives were the icemaker/water dispenser weren't working and the maintenance guy couldn't fix it during his visit and the garbage disposal seems to be broken. The pools and lazy river are very inviting and there is plenty of seating around.

One of my all time favorite destinations! Comfy furniture and bedding! Amazing balcony with great furniture and dining seating with views of bay, marina, dolphins and the lazy river. The lazy river looks like a Sandals property with an oasis of lights and colors! Book it!

"Ehh... So-So

The pros: The Dest West complex is amazing. We loved the lazy river, pools, and hot tubs. The walk to the beach using the sky bridge was easy. We felt safe here, at the pools, and walking to the beach. There are beach chairs, sand toys, and a wagon to use for the beach. The view from the balcony was really nice. The Cons: This condo needs several updates: The large florescent light in the kitchen looks like it's getting ready to fall. The oven has no markings on it. We couldn't tell how hot we were cooking anything. There's only one pan. The condo had no: salt/pepper, broom/dustpan, beach towels, throw blankets, and hot pads. The coffee maker didn't work. The dishwasher sometimes worked. The master shower has MOLD on the ceiling. There was sand on several surfaces when we arrived. We paid A LOT of money to stay here for a week, which was really overpriced considering the condition of the space and missing items. Dest West is a great place, but we WILL NOT be staying in this condo again.

Beach Stay

The cleanliness left a bit to be desired. We swept and spot cleaned constantly, but could not go barefoot in condo because feet were black and dirty. Had to put socks on or wash feet 4 or 5 times a night. Advertising includes State of Art Fitness Room, as well as documents in condo, but we were told oh thats not included now. We chose this condo based on that amenity. We picked up bottle caps and soda tabs the first entire day. Danger to little ones and felt like cleaning crew should have gotten those. Nice condo as far as decor and view, but not sure we'd pick it again or recommend to our friends, especially for the price.

Beach getaway!

Beautiful view from the balcony. Beach was a bit of a walk. I appreciated the bridge because the main rod has a lot of traffic. Beaches are beautiful.

Nice but loud

Overall our stay here was nice, however, there were a couple of issues. One, the location is very noisy, you can hear the highway traffic and there was construction going on in another area that was 'early morning' loud. If you love jets, the air base was flying very low and loud over the building. I realize these things can not be controlled by the owner but perhaps a heads up in the write up would make people aware. Second, although the apartment appeared clean we couldn't believe how black our feet were from walking on the floors. Both inside and on the balcony the floors seemed to have been overlooked. The furniture on the patio was also very worn and moldy - perhaps cushions could be stored somewhere inside or in a storage box. In general is was a nice place and we did enjoy seeing the dolphins from the balcony. The over pass to the beach was a plus as you are going over a 4 lane highway.

Unpopular opinion

The location was great, but there is a little walk and elevators to get to the beach across the street. Not an issue, but is a little challenging if you have anyone handicapped. Other than that I was a little irritated when I mentioned check-in time through a message of 3 as stated on vrbo, but was informed check-in was 4 and if that was an issue they could cancel my booking. I didn't feel it was a very professional response. When we got to the condo I felt things could've been better. The living room rug is falling apart, there are places in the bathroom that look like mold or mildew, most utensils and some bowls are broken or need replaced. I text about the freezer not freezing and never got so much as a response. I bought ice cream and waffles for my kids and neither stayed frozen. Luckily we didn't buy anything else that needed to be frozen. The humidifier was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep and finally early in the morning on our final morning I had to turn it off because it sounded like it was completely falling apart. For several days I didn't realize what it was making th3 loud noise. The dryer also took 2 to 3 dry cycles to get anything dry. As far as a place to sleep and the view it was great. Other than that I wouldn't book again and wouldn't book through this company again.

Honest Review

We picked this property because the web site stated there are 4 heated pools. NONE of the pools were heated and absolutely freezing. That was probably our biggest disappointment. As for the condo, I give it 4 stars. The condo is perfect for a family vacation and the balcony is huge with gorgeous views. We had a small issue with the air conditioner and maintenance came immediately and helped us out. I think there should be more towels provided but the kitchen is absolutely stocked with nice things and everything you could possibly want. The walk over to the beach is a stretch so you definitely want to bring your wagon to carry your things. The area marked for people staying on the property is VERY small, so you will want to get to the beach as soon as possible to get a spot. pro's: Views, huge balcony
