Relaxing cabin on Lake Catherine within the DiamondHead Community. The cabin has a wrap around deck with beautiful views of Lake Catherine. The cabin sits on a hill so the trip from the cabin to the water is steep. Our floating dock was recently damaged and will be repaired winter 2023-2024 when the water levels are drawn down on Lake Catherine. Diamondhead has an 18 hole golf course, tennis / basketball court and community pool ( June 10, 2023 thru Labor Day Weekend). Oaklawn Resort and Casino 20 minutes away. Historical Downtown Hot Springs 25 minutes. Garvan Woodland Gardens 10 minutes away.

Great Stay

We needed to be close to home for my son’s Spring Break activities. This was perfect. 40 minutes from home and sporting events but still felt like a vacation.

Very quiet and cozy

It was a wonderful stay and we wish we could have stayed longer! The house is so unique compared to the surrounding homes. We do wish the dock wasn’t blocked off and the steps to the dock were not as damaged, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us. We enjoyed our stay and Lori was a great communicator when we needed help.

Wedding Stay

Beautiful views and cabin, not a treehouse. Loved the location and its semi seclusion. Quiet. Really understand they mean it when they say it’s a VERY steep incline going to the water. We enjoyed it and were aware. Met people that were super friendly in the area. We will be back annually.

Weekend getaway

The cabin was just as described. It was great and spacious. We had a blast fishing off the dock. I highly recommend it.

Anniversary trip

Diamond Head is a fairly nice community. The roads had several potholes so watch out. The pool was closed but that really wasn't an issue as we didn't plan to use it. Property was accurately described to have a STEEP walk to the lake -Not for the faint of heart! What was really disappointing for me was the dock. It was in massive disrepair and really unsafe with one side collapsed (not pictured in images). There was no access to get into or out of the water so you had to be pretty agile to climb on metal beams to get out off the lake. There was no mention of this in the description. Being by the lake is why i chose this property. I graciously gave 3 stars because the owner, Lori, was very kind and responsive with any questions. The home is cute and unique with comfy beds but beware in renting if you want easy lake access

Hot Springs trip

This was perfect, it was fairly secluded with a really nice view of the lake/river. The deck was awesome and the house was perfect for our anniversary get away. Everything was great! Lori was very helpful and accommodating.

The cabin was lovely inside & out. The wrap around porch with chairs & a small table was perfect for sitting outside in the morning with a cup of coffee enjoying the scenery. The only negative things I would add are not a big deal & would not keep me from going there again. The wash machine goes on forever & clunks loudly intermittently. Also the kitchen could use a ladle & a large spoon without holes for stirring large pots of soup/stews etc. On the whole we really enjoyed our stay there & would love to come again

Nice place to stay. Good location in gated community with great views of the lake. We had a great time and would stay again. The property owner was helpful and eager to answer an questions we might have.

Labor Day Get Away

We had a great stay at Lori’s Treehouse. The rental was very clean and the king bed was super comfortable. We didn’t notice the “smell” that others had mentioned. Lori is easy to communicate with and will answer any questions you may have. The house is well equipped with everything you will need plus a few extras. There is no grill but we just prepared our meal inside and that wasn’t a problem. We spent every afternoon on the dock catching a bunch of little bream. The walk to the water is steep and some of the steps aren’t in the best of shape. That didn’t stop us, I just took my time and figured it was good exercise. I loved the quietness of Lake Catherine compared to the hustle and bustle of Lake Hamilton, especially on a holiday weekend. We even saw a family of deer down by the lake one morning while we were enjoying our breakfast on the huge porch. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Lakeside Cabin

Our family of 4 enjoyed this 2 bedroom cabin for our short getaway to Hot Springs. It was very clean and right on the lake. The covered dock was a nice bonus to fish. The hill going down to it was a bit steep, but we were fine! It’s about 25 minutes away from downtown Hot Springs and 10 minutes away from Lake Catherine where we hiked and rented paddle boats. We noticed a musty smell once we entered the cabin, but it was not overpowering. It was well stocked and had everything we needed!

Peaceful Getaway close to all the fun!

Fun house at the end of the road and edge of the lake! Very close to Lake Catherine State Park, and short drives to all things Hot Springs. Host was super nice and accessible, house was clean and simple. We had a BLAST!

Love the cabin!

Very comfortable for 4 people. AC works great, the golfing was so much fun and the lake was a blast! The cabin does have a musty smell upon arrival but it clears out. The friendly raccoon at night trying to get into the trash can was amusing! There was also a turtle that was hanging around too. The climb to the lake was steep but worth it! Overall exceptional experience and would recommend this property.

Quiet and Functional!

Wonderful views around the property and was nice to be able to come in the evenings and enjoy game night with the family and also have fun around the fire pit or on the dock! Lori was great and quick to respond for any questions!
