The hideout is a 1 bedroom 1 full bath with a kitchen apartment loft nestled in the redwoods just three miles from the beach and 5 miles from Jedediah State Park redwoods just a few miles away from any grocery shopping and dining in the area the Hideout is located behind security gates the property is fenced and cross fenced we are pet friendly and have beautiful yards for your pet's we welcome 420 guest

Lovely farm stay!

We were only in Crescent City for two nights to hike in the redwoods, and Aneka's place was perfect! She was an excellent host and even left a basket of farm fresh eggs from her chickens in the fridge for us. We'd go back!

Natures getaway

My husband and I recently stayed for four days, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Aneka, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the start. The place itself was perfect — quiet, cozy, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location was ideal, close to all the areas we planned to explore, yet tucked away in a peaceful, wooded setting. We slept well every night and loved the little details, like watching the friendly chickens as we came and went. Most importantly, I felt safe and completely comfortable throughout the stay.If you’re looking for a serene, convenient, and charming place to stay in Crescent City, I highly recommend this spot. Thanks again to Aneka for such a lovely experience!

Fantastic Redwood Retreat

The Hideaway was a very cozy spot to stay while exploring the redwoods and crescent city. Only five minutes from town, but is super quiet and felt like a remote retreat. Aneka was a fabulous host and made our time very special.

Cozy and Hidden Away

We visited this property in the winter for our visit to nearby Redwood National Park. This cute property is tucked away nicely amongst the trees and even comes with its own chicken and rooster population. The converted barn was a little cold on our first day but the space heater Aneka left heated the room up very nicely. Communication with Aneka was a breeze and she was very responsive over text. She was also a lifesaver when my car wouldn't start on my last day and even drove me to a hardware store to buy a key fob battery and helped me troubleshoot my car. Above and beyond host! Would recommend!

Relaxing Country Hideaway

Really quaint place with all the necessities. A thoughtful, lovely lady owns and manages this charming place that’s a little bit in the country complete with chickens and fresh organic eggs in the frig. We felt very at home and relaxed here.

The Hideout was awesome!

Aneka the host was great! She had recommendations for everything! Hiking, food and local attractions! The location was great with quick access to town and hiking trails. The Hideout was great as we were in and out every day a great home base!

The HideOut

The apartment is located in a quiet area, which is what we wanted. Aneka is a very gracious and solicitous hostess, quick to respond to your needs. The HideOut is adequate for two people, especially if you do not plan to do a lot of cooking. There are lots of nature trails through the beautiful redwoods. We were gone most of every day and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the area.

Its the perfect Hideout!

This visit was perfect. We needed easy access to all the area had to offer, and the Hideout was just as pictured: a lovely upstairs apartment with a sizeable seating area, functional kitchen and a bathroom, plenty of closet space, and room for the dog. The host is fantastic. She was kind and helpful. For our first morning, she ensured coffee and some fresh eggs from the chickens. It's definitely a place we will return to again and again.

Cozy and welcoming

After long days of traveling and exploring, this was the perfect place to be able to cozy up and wind down. It was such a nice environment surrounded by nature and of course the chickens. The outside area was ideal for our dog to get to walk around freely in the mornings. We would definitely come back! :)

The Hideout is a gem off the grid!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Hideout out in the country not far from the city. It’s close to the Redwoods National Park. The host greeted us and our dog and made us feel very welcomed! Very pleasant experience!

Wonderful experience!

Aneka was a gracious host. She greeted us at the property, showed us around and was kind enough to text us directions to the beach and eating establishments. There was farm-fresh eggs in the fridge from her hens, which we cooked up for breakfast! The home was secluded yet close to everything. A great experience. We would highly recommend and will be staying again when we're in the area.

Great location, delightful host, comfy quarters.

Aneka's place is perfect to access Jedediah Smith Redwood Forest. The guest quarters accommodated three of us very comfortably. Aneka stocked it with all the essentials and more, including fresh eggs from her chickens. (Close the bedroom window or use a white noise machine or her rooster will greet you bright and early.) She keeps the place very clean and gave us keys to come and go easily. We cooked a meal for ourselves, made easy with all the pots and pans available. Best of all for us, Aneka graciously greeted us when we arrived very late a night. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
