Magnifique maison d'architecte conçue majestueusement située dans un cadre montagneux privé adjacent à la forêt nationale sans aucune autre maison en vue. Le niveau de vie principal a une immense grande pièce avec un plafond cathédrale de 26 pieds de haut, une grande cheminée en pierre, une cuisine contemporaine avec des appareils en acier inoxydable, une cuisinière Thermador à 6 brûleurs, des comptoirs en granit et une vue imprenable sur Sawtooth Ridge. Il y a aussi une terrasse plein sud avec cascade. L'aile de la chambre principale comprend une grande chambre et une salle de bains avec double lavabo, baignoire et douche. Il y a aussi une buanderie et une petite chambre (anciennement un bureau à domicile) avec un lit double dans cette aile. A l'étage hors du loft sont une salle de bain et trois chambres (deux reines et une pleine). Profitez de l'immense salle de loisirs en bas, avec TV / magnétoscope, canapé en L, table de ping-pong, table de poker, salle de bain complète, futon et alcôve avec lits superposés. Il y a des lits pour 12 personnes, mais les grands groupes peuvent utiliser des canapés ou apporter un matelas gonflable.

Great house for a large group!

To start, communication with the owner was fantastic. We were so happy to have so much information and the available to ask any questions.The house is cozy, yet very roomy. The main room has awesome high ceiling adding to the feeling of space. The kitchen was very well equipped and large enough for use by multiple helpers. We had small children included in our party and they loved the house, one said she wanted to stay instead of going home! So sweet!

Great clean place to stay

We were 3 families staying for a long weekend with kids from 4-16. The property was clean really nice. We were able to cook dinner 2 nights and Palisades was very close. The kids loved staying in the rec room where there were a lot of activities for them in there. We would stay here again.

Great Location and House

Everything as represented. I have done several VRBO’s and to me the most important thing is communication with the owner/manager. In this rental it was great, always prompt and helpful. I have no trouble recommending this property.

Snow Globe with my Family

The house is such a wonderful location especially if you're going to Palisades. It's the perfect combo of feeling secluded in the woods and being very close to restaurants and the freeway. It's great for a large group. We loved that we could bring our dog. We had everything we needed and a lot of space. My favorite feature of the house is the big beautiful living room window. It was snowing so it was like we were staying in a snow globe.

Great Home for Family and close to Palisades.

We have 3 children under 12 and they loved the house. It is spacious. They loved the game room. We wanted to take our kids snowboarding for the first time and it was a 5 minutes drive to Palisades. The directions where great, the host has excellent communication. We would love to come back. We highly recommend!

Tahoe trip

The home is in a very good location and is 5 min away from Palisades Tahoe village and ski resort. We were a big group of 7 adults, 3 kids and a dog. The home was very comfortable for such a big group, with a lot of space for the kids to run around and play. The basement is very convenient for kids to play and make as much noise as they want. It wouldn’t bother us in the main floor or upstairs where all the bedrooms are. Overall the stay was very good and we’d love to book this place again in the future.

My friends and I had a great time at this stay. Check-in procedure was easy and straightforward and the host was responsive to all my questions. The location was great for access to Palisades. Would love to stay here again!

Very convenient and great experience

Overall, had a great stay at this property. We are a family of 11 folks and had an excellent time during thanksgiving. Check in process was easy, good area to walk the pets out and lots of beds for folks to sleep comfortably. Would luv to rent again in the future.

Lake Tahoe family vacation

We stayed at this property for a weeklong family vacation. The property is in a great location between Truckee and Tahoe City. There is an easy 15 minute drive to get to the lake. The surrounding area is extremely beautiful scenery. We enjoyed hanging out at the house and sitting on the front deck enjoying the view and the great weather.

Beautiful Home with a Place for Everyone!

This very lovely and large home is perfect for a large group with multiple ages. The spacious Game room downstairs allows for many activities while the main floor with it's picturesque view is perfect for eating and conversation. Most all of the bedrooms are generous in size! Everything you need is provided for and outdoor activities are a fairly short drive away. We even got to see a beautiful deer outside one of the bedroom windows on our last morning! We would highly recommend this home!

Hiking group-great location and space

Great property. Was hot at night and weren’t allowed to open all the windows and no access to AC (if there was one?). Wi-Fi wasn’t working, but owner also communicated that beforehand and apologized. Overall great stay! Will look into staying again in the future. Thank you!

Best VRBO in Tahoe

We rent through VRBO often, and this is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The location is perfectly located near Squaw Valley. The house is immaculate, comfortable and updated. All of the amenities you expect are right there (in the kitchen etc.). The host was so attentive. We really appreciated the communication before, during and after our stay. We will definitely rent again.

Perfect place for large groups or family

This house was perfect for my family's getaway weekend. The location is unbelievably convenient to Tahoe City, Squaw Valley, and Truckee. My family was able to enjoy a whole day in Tahoe City without having to worry about the commute back to the house. The house is really large and clean with a lot of sleeping options. The kitchen had a great professional stove/oven, perfect for making a meal at home. The living room and basement with ping pong and poker table were great spaces to hang out with the family, Kevin was really kind and very responsive which made booking and any questions I had very easy!

Private Setting

Lots of room in well appointed home. Many levels which can separate noisy activities ie: games and ping pong from quite pursuits. Also enough space for all to gather for eating and visiting. Some beds not for tall young adults. Great views and stars!

Amazing property near ski resort

If you are planning on going to Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, book this property immediately for your group. This location is less than 10 minutes from the resort's parking lot so you can actually sleep in and still beat the rush of cars driving into the resort. You get to skip all the traffic on the freeway and get a great night's sleep. There are a ton of places to sleep here so it would definitely fit your family or group of friends. Sleeps about 10-12 comfortably and potentially up to 15-18 if you have an air mattress or two. Directions to the property driveway are accurate but the driveway is still easy to miss. AWD/4WD will make it up the driveway for sure but its possible that 2WD vehicles may not because of the incline / iciness of the initial ramp during snow season. This can be easily overcome if you just shovel some snow out of the way and all cars will have no trouble. 2 cars will fit in the covered garage and you can probably have 3 or 4 cars outside in the driveway / uncovered parking spots. The owner Kevin is very proactive and will reach out prior to your trip and after you trip if anything is amiss. I received updates from him regarding snow conditions and weather the day before my reservation. He is very friendly and you will be able to email / text / call him if you need him. TLDR; highly recommended for a large group going to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadow. 11/10 would book again.

We are architects in San Francisco and designed and built this house in 2006. Raising two boys in the city, we have always known the importance of getting away to the wonderful outdoors that the Tahoe area has to offer. We started the boys skiing, fishing and hiking when they were 2 years old and they still enjoy the same activities today as young adults. With the boys now grown, we have the opportunity to open our home so that other families can partake in the same enjoyment that we have had over the years.

This property is conveniently and centrally located. About equidistant to Truckee and Lake Tahoe (Tahoe City), and only 1.5 miles to the Palisades/Squaw Valley entrance, this location is ideal. The house is designed for families or groups and is very spacious. It has been designed in the Tahoe vernacular and built majestically into the hillside to capture the view. Top of the line kitchen appliances and large dining room create a great opportunity for family and friends to dine together.
