Villa is located at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort on Okaloosa Island. The villa offers breathtaking views of Choctawhatchee Bay, Okaloosa Island, Destin, and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Rise early for a breathtaking sunrise or watch the fireworks over the Destin Harbor on special occasions. Located on the ocean side of the resort this unit is only steps away from the sugar white beaches.

The large private balcony is a great place to enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the morning or a romantic dinner in the evening. Stay entertained with the 37-inch flat screen HDTV, digital cable with HBO, DVD player, new 42 -inch TV in the bed area, and free high speed WI-FI. The full kitchen has everything you need including a refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner stove, convection microwave, drip coffee maker, dishwasher and blender. The Villa can sleep 4 with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The spacious bathroom offers a large garden tub for relaxing soaks and a stand alone glass door shower for a quick rinse.

Not clean, but good.

Checked into a dirty room. Watched the cleaning ladies not change the comforter on the bed. Took them about 15 minutes to clean.

Destin West 5th Floor Condo

This condo located in Destin West, was affordable, easy to get to and full of amenities. Condo - it was well stocked with everything you need. Two sets of linens, cookware if you wanted to cook. The stovetop does take a while to heat up and burners are small. There are chargers in the wall, the queen bed and furniture was comfortable but we did not use the pull out couch. The view from the balcony is amazing. You can see the Gulf and there is plenty of room to sit on the balcony. This condo is on the 5th floor and the garage was very close. Made for easy transporting of items. Amenities - there are several pools and we took advantage of the large pool close to the condo as no swimming in the gulf due to rough waters while we was there. Plenty of room in the pool and for chairs on pool desk. We didn’t do the lazy river but heard it was nice. The workout room was nice. Beach - You are steps from the beach. We were able to walk down and come back up for lunch. Great location.

Friends get-away

The “host” really wasn’t much of one. I sent one question during our stay and was met with the response to call the front desk. The pull-out sofa: one sheet and one pillow/pillowcase. No blanket or other linens. The bed was very uncomfortable. The balcony door needs to be repaired as it is extremely difficult to open (and neither of us is a weak woman—it truly needs repairs). Other than that—I will say the place was clean and well-stocked as far as the kitchen goes. We have enjoyed staying at Destin West over the years in general.

The property was nice and clean. It was great for two adults. The only thing I would add would be somewhere to place shampoo in the shower. There was only a soap tray. It was great and enjoyed our stay.

Location nice , well furnished room . Some water damage at bottom of shower door . The rest of the unit was nice , takes long time for burner top in kitchen to get hot .

Overall Great place to stay!

Loved our time here host is great and easy to talk to! The condo is bigger than the pics look tbh! So clean and loved that we were on the beach! The only negative thing I have to say is for the fold out couch there was no comforter just a sheet set so definitely recommend bringing pillows and blankets for the sleeper Sofa! But overall will stay here again!

Convenient amenities

I come to the Destin area every year. There are so many things I loved about this condo. I normally get rooms that are right on the ocean. This one was not directly on it but I could still see it fine and I could see the rest of the town and the bay. I loved how the front door of the condo faced the parking garage. I was able to park on level five other parking garage directly across from the condo where I could see it and it was so convenient to go to and from my truck. I really liked how the amenities were combined with the large condo buildings across the highway and it was linked by the walkway crossover from the third floor. It was really great to have a selection of the pool over there and the lazy river and also have access to the pool connected to this condo. I did not hear any noise from outdoors during the night time. This place was great and I would stay here again.

Absolutely loved it here. So many pools and views and a lazy river. Walking distance to several restaurants. Great price. Definitely will come back.

Things you may need

As a woman ladies need to bring their own bathroom tissue bc theirs is awful. There was no top sheet on the bed but by the time i realized it the front desk was closed. Other than someone smoking weed the stay was perfect.

Cold Weather ....... but great stay.

The weather was under 60* each day, thank goodness they have heated pools and a couple jacuzzies. The room (V505) was nice and everything in working order.

Great location/amenities

We enjoyed the location and the amenities. It just so happened that 2 of our days there were cloudy and cooler so we could not enjoy the pool because it was too cold for us. My husband and I both went to the gym and it had a good range of equipment. Much nicer than most hotel/apartment gyms. The hotel room was nice but there were some cosmetic things that could have been fixed. The ceiling was peeling in some places and had dark water spots. Not the end of the world. The bed was not comfortable for me but everyone likes something different. We had no problems with noise from neighbors. We would recommend this place to others.
