The Perfect Stay in Pinecrest

Casa Mango is the perfect place to stay in Pinecrest or South Miami, especially for families with young children. My wife, son (toddler), and I stayed for three weeks and had a lovely time there. Everything about this property is wonderful, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The house was meticulously clean when we arrived and is very well appointed throughout. The interior design and furnishing rivals those of many five-star hotels, but obviously the living and sleeping areas are many times larger. We only needed two of the four bedrooms, but each one looked great and able to accommodate guests of all ages. The family room is comfortable and includes a modern smart TV great for unwinding while watching a movie with family (though there is always something to do in Pinecrest that doesn't involve television). The living room is airy and elegant and would be great for relaxing and having some time for oneself, provided you do not also have a toddler who is constantly on the move. Outside, the pool and patio are fantastic and the backyard is very spacious. Pinecrest is the most family-friendly community we have ever visited. It has parks galore buzzing with other parents, nannies, and children who are very welcoming and happy to make new friends. My wife and son had so much fun spending every morning at the park. Our two favorites are Evelyn Greer Park, which is just a stone's throw away from the house, and Coral Reef Park in nearby Palmetto Bay. Lastly, a special thanks to James and his agent, who made check in and our entire stay so wonderful. We did not have any issues that required contacting our host during our stay, but James very graciously checked on how our stay was going from time to time and was always quick with a reply. He is an impeccable host, and I am very glad to have worked him and made his acquaintance. Casa Mango is the perfect house for a winter stay in a perfect community . We very much hope to return next year!

Casa Mango

The home needs a ground keeper. Inside of the home is very dated. The floors were very dirty along with walls, fans and ceilings which needed major dusting. The disposal and dish washer backed up which we fixed. We found rubber type material in the disposal, which was removed, and the disposal was reset. The refrigerator leeks water out of the filter. The master bathroom had mold in the shower. the guest bathrooms #1 had the cold water shut off due to the fact that the supply valve was leaking and need replacement. The guest bathroom #2 toilet worked sometimes so we stopped using it. Amenities were not adequately supplied such as hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, bbq grill and the biggest thing NO INTERNET. The owner needs to call an exterminator to spray for bugs. Cockroaches were found in the bathrooms and the kitchen. The pool was unusable due to the fact there was no pool cover, skimmer or heat. Furniture in the house was also dated and some soiled. Mail was stacked up for up to 2 years. Also, notices were sent to the owner stating he was in violation of renting a facility in the area. When you pay as much as we did our expectation are pretty high and we feel we did not receive good value renting this facility. I would suggest a refund on some of the rental fee.

We are a family from the UK who always dreamed of owning a vacation house in Miami. After many visits and holidays in Miami, we finally in 2021 found Casa Mango, named after the mango tree in the large grass-covered garden/back yard. Since then, we have decorated the house to give it style, practicality and comfort. We spend most of our vacations here with our 4 year old twins who love playing in the pool and in the large garden at the back of the property. With bedrooms for grandparents, friends and family, we have had many memorable moments and hope you will too. We don't use the property all year round, so we are happy to share it with families looking for a Miami holiday.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Casa Mango has recently been renovated and redecorated inside and out. This is a house with style and character. There are are enough bedrooms and beds for 2 families of 4 to holiday together in comfort with spaces for parents and kids to spread out as well as two areas for eating together as a family; either around the long dining room table on the outside terrace or around the dining room table inside.

Optional concierge service available to help organize your stay. Cleaning twice weekly (4 hours) included in your rental. Optional clothes washing/ironing. Just let us know what you will need and we will arrange for cleaning staff to visit the house. With prior notice, we can also provide contacts for nanny and babysitting services that we have used.
