Welcome to Truth or Deer. We have all you need to enjoy anything from a short weekend getaway to a full stay of a week if you like! We offer everything you could want or need while on a trip away from home.

This third floor unit has a beautiful view over looking the Deschutes River that runs through central Oregon. This unit offers a King-Sized bed in the bedroom, and a queen Murphy Bed in the Living Room, for a total of 4 guests staying. The private bedroom offers their own king sized bed and bath, and then the main area has a Murphy bed that can fold up into the wall for more space if need be. This unit will also offer a beautiful fireplace to keep you cozy and warm on those snowy winter nights. Plus there is a full kitchen at your disposal for the Rachel Ray or Gordon Ramsey of your group!

All of our guests will also have access to a heated indoor pool and hot tub. This is a pet friendly room. We allow a maximum of two pets and collect a pet fee of $50 per pet separately after you make your reservation. In this unit you will find your own private washer and dyer, this is one of three condos on property that offers this exclusive luxury!

Cozy, quiet retreat near downtown

We loved almost everything about this property! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-stocked, the furniture was comfortable and adequate for our needs, and the river view plus location near downtown can't be beat! We also no appreciated the washer/dryer in the unit and easy parking. The owners were very thoughtful and responsive to our needs and questions.I really would give the unit an overall rating of 4.5 stars if possible. Our only concerns were the lack of space to put our clothes - only one working closet bar for coats and anything else, which wasn't much for a week-long winter stay for 3 people. (The other wardrobe space in the bedroom was missing a closet bar) and the unit did not have enough hot water for even two of us to take quick showers in a row. Also, the management of the overall grounds (not the VRBO owner) does not take good care of the pool hot tub area. The hot tub water was discolored and smelled a bit like gas. It was quite disappointing because we'd been looking forward to that feature of the unit but after 5 minutes in the water we were disgusted and went to shower off.

Perfect Getaway in Beautiful Bend

We spent three nights at Truth or Deer. Beautiful view of the river from the balcony. Plenty of room and amenities in the unit (two full bathrooms!!!). River walk access just steps from the unit. Check in and check out was super easy! Hope to be back someday soon!!

Great Bend stay

Overall, this spot was perfect for our needs staying in town for a concert. There were a few spots that could use some work (front door jammed, some dated appliances etc.) but it worked well for what we needed. Great location near the river walk, it was a long walk to the concert in Old Mill but we did it both ways. Would probably stay again!

Great patio view/clean

Stayed with my husband and father in law. Bedrooms in seperate room with 2 bathrooms made it perfect for 2 parties. Was in a good location close to all Bend stores, brewery’s… clean, and just what we need for a 1 night stay. Only downer is they had a pool but it was being serviced. We stayed mid May.

Nice location and clean

The condo was well apportioned and clean. Excellent location for travelling with dogs. A nice park and the river trail are adjacent to the property and are easily accessed. Close to downtown. My only suggestion/complaint is the bedding is worn and poorly fitted. The fitted sheet would not stay on the corner of the mattress and the old synthetic blanket needs to be replaced. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.

Serenity by the river

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. He was able to access down hill skiing, cross country skiing, and mountain bike riding. I loved spending time walking along the river trails. The place is in walking distance of shopping, restaurants, breweries, and many parks. We are planning to return again! All our needs were met. There was no need to contact the property management for any concerns.

Truth or Deer condo was exactly how advertised. Very clean and up to date with a very stocked kitchen. Great view being on the top floor! During my stay it was very quiet. Check-in was easy once I found the correct building. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The beds were harder than expected. I just wish the fees weren't so much. We spent $211.00 on fees alone.

5 stars for everything.. my ONLY suggestion is an extra blanket in the unit? (I get cold SUPER easily), other than that we LOVED this property! Clean, quiet, walked into the downtown area & back EASILY.. 👍

Great location and built in white noise!

My husband and I came to Bend for a weekend getaway and loved our stay at Truth or Deer. Entry was easy, lots of room and great beds and pillows (which matters to us!) Our favorite part was the sound of the spillway right out the sliding glass door. It was like a built in white noise machine! And it was a great view of the river! While you can tell many things have been renovated in the space, you can still see some signs of the age of the building and pool. That was easily overlooked by us though because of all the other great features aforementioned.

Mt Batchelor trip

Great Bend location - 30 min drive to Mt Bachelor with downtown within walking distance. Easy to check in and out of. Amazing view of the river from the porch. Set us up for an amazing ski trip!

I knew the property was older but didn’t expect the room to be dirty. I had to wipe everything down with Lysol wipes. There were dirty toilets. Hair left in sink and shower. The bedding was not fresh. Had to ask to have it changed. There were crumbs on the table and did not look like it had been vacuumed. The jacuzzi wasn’t working properly. This property did not meet my expectations.
