Great location, plenty of space and beds for larger group

We enjoyed our stay and had a great time hanging out in the yard and in the pool. No complaints and would stay here again.

Lovely La Jolla House

Nice big house. This was our annual family get together- three generations. Nice big bedroom for the 6 kids to share. Baby slept in parents room. Four bedrooms for all the couples. Everyone had a sliding door to go outside from their room. Four bathrooms was wonderful. The house had good furniture. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. House needed some love and few things fixed before it gets worse. Pool was not heated! It says solar heated, but not. Cover wouldn't close. I notified owner, but got no reply. Jacuzzi only went extreme hot if you turned on the jets. No wine bottle opener. Take one. We bought and left a cheap one, but it kept falling apart. Beautiful view from balcony of Mission Bay. Highly recommend this house, especially if you have kids. Lots of room for them with out them being in your way.

Amazing home

The home was beautiful and clean for our entire family of 16 with kids and grandkids. We loved the location with access to San Diego and beaches. The beds were especially comfortable and the owners incredibly responsive and kind. We endorse both them and their home for your stay.

Beautiful La Jolla Property

We stayed at this beautiful property for my son's wedding and it was the perfect home/setting for our family during the wedding week, as well as hosting some of our out-of-town guests with a BBQ and evening dinners. The location is perfect--situated close enough to downtown La Jolla, but in a quiet neighborhood to allow us to relax. The home was exactly as featured, spacious and well appointed, the owner Bill was easy to reach with questions, and the backyard features a relaxing fire pit and pool, while the front balcony offered a beautiful view (to enjoy a glass of wine and watch fireworks from). It's the perfect property for a family reunion, or for multiple families to vacation. We would definitely stay here again. Our whole family truly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing house for a large group!

I stayed here for my bachelorette party with 15 other girls and it was perfect. The bedrooms and living rooms are all really spacious - as is the kitchen. There is not only enough room to sleep, but enough room for everyone to comfortably hang out. The pool and hot tub area is also great. While we were there we had an issue with the hot tub that the owner immediately had someone come to fix so we were able to use it for the rest of the weekend. The neighborhood is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Amazing La Jolla House

We stayed here for my bachelorette weekend with 13 gals and the house was more than perfect and spacious! Plenty of sleeping areas and bathrooms! The backyard was a perfect place for us to hang out by the pool and do a catered taco night in. I would highly recommend this house to anyone with a large group wanting to stay in the La Jolla or San Diego area!

The house was incredibly spacious, comfortably housing 16 adults. The owners were very responsive. Plenty of towels, bathrooms, kitchen utensils. Awesome communal spaces (kitchen, dining, living room, pool). Would come back!

Excellent stay in La Jolla

This is a great property. Our large party (approximately 18 total, about half adults and half kids) stayed here for three nights. The house was spacious and very clean. This place is designed perfectly for multi-family parties: there a bathroom for every room, and every room has access to the backyard/pool, making cleanup after swimming very easy. The layout of the house (primarily single-story, with a slightly elevated family room/loft) made it ideal for young kids to play without excessive supervision. The house has plenty of parking, and is relatively close to the beach (though not a walkable distance) without being subject to the insane beach traffic. It was perfect for our large family beach vacation.

Perfectly Booshie for Large Families

My kid was graduating college, so we wanted a really nice spot for the family to enjoy and celebrate. This place nails it! Has the perfect location, comfort, ambiance, amenities, and makes it really easy for people to relax and have fun. The owner/manager was nice and quick to respond. Highly recommended!

Great vacation!

Stayed here for our annual extended family ski week and everyone had a terrific time. The home is centrally located by shopping and an easy drive to get to the many ski resorts. The layout was perfect for everyone to spread out and have privacy as well as get together to enjoy meals in the large kitchen or hang out in the many common areas. The owners were terrific and answered any questions we had and made it a great experience. Had such a good time we immediately booked a spring ski trip at the same house and we are looking forward to returning.

I have traveled immensely over the last decade. This has been my absolute favorite house. I've rented anywhere in the country. The views are breathtaking. Every detail of the house is fabulous absolutely wonderful. Hope I am fortunate enough to return.

Weekend family getaway

Very nice house and neighborhood! The owner was quick to respond to any concerns. We didn’t have a chance to use the lap pool, spa or outdoor furniture but there is a nice yard for relaxing or eating outside. Plenty of room in the kitchen and family room for our group of 9 adults and 3 babies. (Brought our own baby gear)

An oasis away from home!

An oasis away from home! In July our three families from Texas, NY and London met in La Jolla, San Diego for a week of relaxation and fun! Our group included 6 adults and 7 kids ages ranging from 12-17. We chose the Muirlands house based on location, amenities and photos on the internet. We were not disappointed! The home is way larger than the photos indicate! There are 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. The master bedroom also has a bonus room with a sleeper sofa. All the kids except the oldest stayed in the front room and there was a bedroom for each couple and the oldest kid. There are several areas to hang out in throughout the house! We had morning coffee on the front balcony overlooking the water, watched evening movies in the upstairs living area, cooked and prepared meals on the large kitchen countertop, ate meals at the large dining table, had small meals at the breakfast nook, more coffee on the outdoor patio nook, drinks and meals at the outdoor dining table, grilled on the outdoor grill, swam in the massive long pool, chilled in the spa and even did laundry in the garage facilities! There is a water filtration system at the sink and refrigerator, drip coffee/kcup machine in the kitchen.The driveway had plenty of room for our large SUV and minivan.The house sits up high in the hills in a beautiful quiet neighborhood.We took walks to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and down to the lower areas and enjoyed the stunning views.Location is great and 5-10 min drive from many places. The owner is very responsive with communication via the VRBO website, text or phone call. He is very knowledgeable about the area and if anything stops working, he is quick to set up repairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house for others!
