Lovely 2bdrm/2bath + office & full kitchen & laundry

Lovely vacation stay in a basement rental unit in a safe & quiet Aurora family neighborhood. Very nice, updated decor, very clean & all amenities were thoughtfully provided & well-stocked. Owner response: very good/excellent. As was previously stated in other reviews, the family has young children in their home above. They were always quiet in the evenings, which was a perfect match for our family’s travel habits. Although we could hear family activity during the daytime, it wasn’t really any bother because we knew ahead of time & then we were out & about being tourists & attending traveling tournaments in Aurora most of the time. Nice little outdoor patio area. Air conditioning was awesome during the heat wave & mountain wildfires going on during our recent 5-night stay. Again, all amenities we could think of were provided. Our family is big on recycling, but that was the only thing they didn’t have (i.e., no recycling bin available on-site). We brought our recyclables over to another friend’s VRBO unit in town at the end of our stay. We’d DEFINITELY stay here again & would recommend this VRBO unit to others. To our host(s): thank you for your hospitality!

Basement Apartment Review

My husband, sister and brother in law stayed here while we were in town for my brother’s wedding. The description does mention that the family above the property has kids and can be loud. Before booking this property I would just recommend being super mindful of that. The walls are pretty thin and the kids are up super early. Because we were having a lot of late nights and exhausting days, being woken up at 6 or 7am by kids wasn’t super ideal. My husband also had to work from the property for a few days, so the noise wasn’t best for that either. Also be mindful that the listing indicates that it has shampoo available. I made the mistake of assuming that also included conditioner and body wash (but it did not so I had to go out and buy some). Some other things were that (1) we had 4 people and only had 3 coffee mugs and 3 towels and (2) the hair dryer didn’t work. Other than that, the location was perfect for us, it was comfortable, and check in was super easy. I think the space is perfect if you’re literally just using it to sleep and you are an early riser.

The place was nice, comfortable and clean. If I had to complain about one thing it would be the noise from the kids playing early in the morning but hey…they’re kids.

Thoughtful touches everywhere

This was a wonderful place to stay - everything we could possibly need was provided, clearly the owners spent a lot of time preparing the apartment to be perfect for guests. After arriving late at night, our host helped us get to the right place so that we could get to resting asap. We would love to stay here again next time we visit Denver!

Great vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The communication and quick response was really appreciated. Even the toiletries provided were a nice addition. It’s a basement unit but fully furnished with two bedrooms and a bonus room so it was very nice and comfortable for me and my family. Would definitely book again.

Quiet Neighborhood, a Great Place to Stay

Our stay at Aurora in this cozy basement apartment was great for my friends and me. The place was clean, cozy, and had lots of space considering it was part of a home. Just like the owner of the property has mentioned, there were children and you can hear them running around but it didn't bother us at all as we spent most of our day exploring. During the nighttime, you won't hear them. We loved our stay here, and it was perfect for us to stay while we explored Denver, Boulder, and Estes Park. We would definitely come back to stay here if we plan another trip in Denver. Thank you for hosting us!

Everything we needed!

We were staying about 4 hours from our home at this property while under medical treatment. This house provided us with the comforts and convenience of home. We even had to extend our stay and they were so good to us. The host was wonderful and even checked on us. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place

This place was maintained and set up totally with the renter in Mind. There are tons of little things around the house you’ll find that are just right. I loved staying here and the hosts were very nice and flexible even when I messed up my booking.

Wonderful Hospitality

We really enjoyed our stay in this roomy, comfortable VRBO. Everything we needed was there for us, very nicely decorated—it was “home” for us for a few days. The owner was quick to respond to one minor need we had and was very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended in a quiet neighborhood and convenient location to stores, restaurants and anything on the east side of Denver.

New or newly renovated - very clean!

The property was very clean and either new or newly remodeled. Beds were comfortable with extra bedding and plenty of towels. There were several nice amenities; coffee, tea, snacks, personal toiletries, etc. and the host was very responsive! Due to family with small children living upstairs, may not be suitable for working from unit remotely during the day, but it was quiet in the evenings. One drawback is there is no heat/cooling control for the unit (the unit is the basement of a single family house). Electric, plug-in heater and fans would have helped. Would stay again.

Nice place

Everything was so clean and nicely decorated. The only thing not great was that I am very sensitive to strong smells including laundry detergent and fabric softeners, etc. So I was not able to sleep in the bed because the sheets were so strongly scented. I definitely recommend all rental homes to use ‘free and clear’ products with no dyes or artificial fragrances, as so many people are sensitive to these products. One other suggestion would be in regard to the dining table and dishes. The table was beautifully set up in a formal manner with plates and silverware and glasses and everything you might need for a formal dinner party. However in order to actually use the dishes and table we had to clear the whole table off and rinse the dishes because they had been sitting out and there were no additional dishes in the cupboard. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Super close to grocery stores and a Starbucks and a little shopping Center. About 25 minutes from downtown- we went to a baseball game while in town. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful hide away

Our stay was amazing, everything was so clean and modern. With everything you might need included. The space was so big it felt very homey. The host are great at responding and being attentive. This is definitely the place to stay in aurora!
