My husband and I stayed here on a weekend staycation. It was great! Very clean, adorable little guest house. Just as described. Communication with the host was spot on.
My 2 adult children and I spent the night at the Cozy Country Guesthouse after a family wedding in Meadow Vista. The three of us found everything we needed here for our short stay, and I would love to return again for a longer visit.
This was perfect for my overnight stay in Meadow vista. The host was wonderful and very responsive. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
I stayed in this beautiful and well put together cabin in the woods on a 3-acre property with my adult son and his girlfriend. We came from Oakland and were on our way to Lake Tahoe, and wanted to explore Nevada City and the Yuba River area. We loved everything about the rental and wished we could have stayed longer. It is very clean, comfortable, stylishly decorated, roomy, had snacks, coffee and a Brita pitcher, and the hosts were easily accessible and friendly. Thank you Laura and Dan!
We booked this cabin for the night of our wedding. It was ten minutes away from the venue. It was a very nice, and quiet stay. Just what we were hoping for. The snacks were a nice touch and much needed after a night of hardly eating. I would recommend to anyone.
We were in the area for a wedding. We only stayed 2 nights, but it was lovely. The property is so quiet, I had one of the best nights sleep in ages.
The guest house is nicely equipped and had everything we needed to be comfortable.
although we were out and about with wedding activites, we enjoyed sitting on the front deck in the evening having wine and just relaxing.
The property is a few miles outside of Auburn, but the drive to get into town was really easy. I recommend taking the hosts recommendations for eating places. We had dinner at the Tin Lantern and ate breakfast twice at Catherine's.
I wish we had more time to explore the area. The lake is a short drive down the street.
We hope to return to the area on our next trip north and spend a few extra days to do more of the activities around the area.
The hosts have a nice manual with places to go and things to see - I want to do them all.
In summary - we really enjoyed the property. It was exactly what we needed and where we needed to be. Quiet, comfortable and great location. The hostess was amazing at responding to any and all inquiries.
Oh yes - we saw 3 deer over the 2 nights we were there. One very large doe in the front yard and 2 teenage bucks.
I would recommend this guest cottage and hope to stay again.
We loved this neighborhood. It was a wooded location with close proximity to their little town. Very safe feel. Good at The Tin Lantern was amazing. Home was well stocked and host very accommodating.
Lovely, very clean property, better than pictured, surprisingly spacious for a studio, good directions made it easy to find. Close to auburn state recreation and wine trail (about 20 mins drive). Great facilities and tea, coffee and some snacks were a nice surprise. Seeing deer from the deck was very nice. The little deck was peaceful. Very quiet neighborhood. Will return!!
Very nice, private. No hot water first day shower but corrected that day. The location for us was near perfect and the caffe in town was perfect way to start the day.
What a peaceful place. Just what we were looking for! Property was clean, beautiful and quiet. Took a walk down near the lake and saw some wildlife. Host was responsive to questions and everything was perfect!
The property was exactly as expected. I was able to unplug and relax in what felt like a home away from home. My favorite part was reading my book on the porch overlooking the countryside under the shade trees. Hosts were amazing and I genuinely felt they cared about my comfort and time at their property. I will definitely return.
This guest house is perfect. Not too small, very spacious bathroom. Very clean. Comfortable bed. High quality ceiling fan and a good air con unit. Very nice kitchen area as well. I look forward to staying here again.
