Highlights of our stay:

Hosts: Friendly, responsive, helpful, good communication.House: Smart modern interior. Good kitchen and bathroom, comfortable furniture. Nice deck and roof garden.Surroundings: Situated in 2 acre wooded estate with an impressive variety of trees and plants. Very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Private beach is a five minute walk through the trees, and is good for sea swimming and walking, with great sunset views. The hosts’ three dogs have the run of the estate and always give you a friendly greeting. Area: Situated in the quiet Somerset Village area. 15 minute walk to the supermarket, bus stops, restaurants, and the western end of the Railway Trail, which is perfect for long walks or runs. All in all a very good choice for a pleasant stay.

10 star property!

Great property! We will be return! The hosts, Jo and Jonah, are fantastic…very responsive, friendly and accommodating. The cottage is sparking clean thanks to Cassy. The location is perfect for a quiet, relaxing, and rejuvenating vacation. The spa and dining at Cambridge Beaches is conveniently located next door and the private beach is beautiful. The bus stop and grocery store is within walking distance.

Don't think. JUST BOOK!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed at this beautiful property for 10 nights and 11 days. Spent Christmas through New Year. We were greeted by Jonah (the owner) and his 3 puppies that were just over the moon to see us! First impression:1. SO CLEAN and It was a lot larger and spacious in person than looked in the listing. The collapsing glass balcony door was a wonderful surprise that leads to the to the rooftop terrace which overlooks the beautiful beach. We spent a lot of our time here with a cup of joe in the AM and a pina colada I made in the PM.2. MAKE SURE TO READ the helpful literature provided by the owners in the kitchen. It includes the history of the property, intro to the owner's family, instructions, wifi and great local restaurants and markets to try located just a short walk away. (We tried all of them!). 3. The kitchen is VERY well equipped with everything you can possibly think of to make your stay is as comfortable as possible. If you love coffee/latte, make sure to bring your favorite whole beans. They have a great espresso machine that also grinds per serving for the freshest cup of joe.4. They have bikes and kayaks for you to enjoy at no additional cost. I used the bike a lot.5. The owners are EXTREMELY accommodating and LIGHTENING FAST with replies. We travel quite a bit and have stayed in many VRBO's and this place was by far THE BEST OF THE BEST. We're already planning out our next stay here and we CANNOT WAIT!!!

Garden by the sea

The hosts, Jo and Jonah, welcomed us as family; warm, insightful and proud of their paradise in a lovely and humble way. The setting is enchanting and the cottage was immaculate and well equipped. Oh, and the rooftop with lounge chairs and a view of the sea is breathtaking!

Huge thanks to Jo, Jonah, and the pups you were amazing hosts. We had an exceptional trip. Their property and the accommodations were fantastic. Having breakfast most mornings with Sammy was a wonderful treat for dog lovers like us. We felt like we were sharing a little piece of heaven. Can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful accomadations

We arrived on Thursday, October 24th. Jo Stanton arranged for a taxi to pick us up. Peter was wonderful and I highly recommend him. We arrived at our VRBO “The Greenhouse”. On the property of Jo Stanton & her husband Johah. They happened to be away during our stay but we were well taken care of by her house manager Cassy and of course the dogs❤️. Our unit was spectacular!!!! Beautiful furnishings, Art work which was done by Jonah, 2 decks, outdoor shower, etc. I would not hesitate to rent this unit again. Hope to do so next year. You won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding get away

The Greenhouse is an elegantly renovated property located in a lush tropical garden with beautiful ocean views and beach access. We loved the gourmet kitchen and the rooftop lounge. The living area was very comfortable but we really spent most of our time outside enjoying the perfect weather and luxurious environment. The included car charger was a Godsend as the vehicle we rented had terrible range. Everything about our stay was delightful especially the hosts’ hospitality and we look forward to visiting again!

This idyllic spot on Bermuda's West End remains our favorite Vrbo ever. Jo, Jonah and the dogs provide the perfect welcome with an ideal balance of privacy, presence, responsiveness and cordiality. The house and its environs were even better this year, thanks to lovely upgrades made to the grounds and gardens. Each day there is gorgeous, regardless of weather. The unexpected bonus this time was seeing Jonah's superb retrospective of some 90 oil paintings on exhibition at Bermuda City Hall in Hamilton Without question, his work would enhance any gallery in the world.

Beautiful and private

Beautiful property, private, set back just a walk down to a private-ish beach area. You get all benefits of the resort next door with the privacy of your own cottage. Loved the indoor/outdoor design of the living space as well.

Another fabulous Greenhouse holiday!

Having previously stayed at The Greenhouse last spring (and at The Mews on property prior) we were so looking forward to getting back over to stay at J&J's outstanding rental. Great views off the roof deck, super quiet lovely grounds, excellent large kitchen to cook in (Market Place is a short walk), bus stops nearby, Cambridge Beaches next door and nightly sunsets from the beach--how could you not relax with all of that?!? If you're looking to get away from 'resort atmosphere' this is it. As an extra plus the wonderfully chill Sammy and Abby dogs will occasionally 'knock' at the door to say hello. Trust me, just like in Spinal Tap this one goes up to 11.

Anniversary getaway

We can’t say enough good things about the hosts Jo and Jonah, they helped arranged a ride from the airport, were very responsive to our text, they immediately addressed a few minor issues we had, and offered us some coconuts that were harvested from their trees. The Greenhouse has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom and living area, large bathroom, 2 large sliding glass doors, comfortable outdoor furniture, and a perfect upper deck for sunrise and sunset. Most importantly the property is just 1 minute walk to the beach with beautiful sand, great swimming, snorkeling, and a sandbar at low tide. We rented an electric car, I suggest not renting the Twizzie, get a side by side, more creature comforts. There is a charging station on property. There are no sidewalks so walking to the local restaurants, liquor store, and grocery store is very interesting. We ate at a few local restaurants like Breezes, Frog and Onion, D&C Grill (take a way), Woody's, and Wahoo's in St. George. All great food, especially the fish sandwiches. And as previous reviews said, the groceries are very expensive, be prepared to spend quite a bit more for everything. We took quite a few long snorkels around the area but the best for us was right off the Cambridge Beach, the Parrot Fish are amazing. Horseshoe Bay has a wonderful sand walking trail which leads to small quiet beaches. We would highly recommend this property and we hope to be bask soon!

Perfect!

What a perfect place to stay and enjoy beautiful Bermuda! The cottage was lovely- fresh and clean and had everything you needed. My favorite was enjoying coffee every morning on the rooftop listening to the frogs and birds and ending the day watching the sunset. It’s literally steps to enjoy the beach and gorgeous water. Loved the convenience of the resort’s restaurants so close by. Jo and Jonah were the most perfect hosts- friendly and helpful with anything you might need.

Absolute Paradise!

We loved staying at The Greenhouse. Very modern and impeccably designed! The rooftop deck is awesome! My wife and I watched the sunset from that viewpoint every night! Jo and Jonah are the absolute best hosts! Private, serene and romantic setting for a couple! We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more! We will definitely be back!! Already planning our next stay in a couple years😀

Wonderful stay in an amazing place

The Greenhouse was a perfect home from home, everything we needed was there just metres from the beautiful beach. Jo and Jonah couldn't have been more helpful and were always on hand to answer questions. We were able to use their kayaks and were always made to feel so welcome. We had access to the facilities at Cambridge beaches but there was a shop nearby and places to eat within a short drive/moped ride. We had an amazing holiday with the best hosts and would return in a heartbeat.

Great location, wonderful hosts and beautiful property

We wanted a location close to Cambridge Beaches for a weekend wedding. This property fit the bill perfectly. They even have deeded rights to part of the beautiful beach at Cambridge Beaches. The hosts Jo and Jonah were so friendly and arranged for a taxi from the airport for us. The property has a huge kitchen and a wonderful upstairs outdoor deck with wonderful ocean views. We would be happy to return to this property in the future.

Incredible Find!

Jo and Jonah were amazing hosts! The Greenhouse is clean with updated kitchen, bathroom, and appliances. The beach is a mere steps away from the cottage. Supermarket and bus stops are an easy 10 minute walk. We cant wait for a return visit.

Incredible Location with Great Hosts

This is a new unit that is super clean and comfortable. The beach is maybe 150' away. Views of the ocean from both the living room and rooftop deck. Jo and Jonah are excellent hosts. Great snorkeling and kayaking from the beach. We already signed up for next year!

5 days in paradise

I’ll begin by saying I never leave reviews, mostly because i’m lazy, but in Jo and Jonah’s case I feel they more then deserved my time and review. The Greenhouse exceeded my expectations by a wide wide margin. The space was both sexy and stylish yet very homey. I began everyday by opening all the windows and walls (yes you can open the wall, lol.) and enjoying the views, breezes, roosters crowing and their very very sociable dogs, lol. The hosts were incredibly helpful and available but never intrusive and the access to the beautiful beach was perfect. One day we counted 7 different shades of blue in the water in front of us!! We enjoyed the rooftop loungers every evening for happy hour and the kitchen with its excellent dual oven range, dishwasher, washer and dryer made preparing meals a pleasure. Do not hesitate for a second to book this property. Our only regret was we didn’t book the property for a longer stay!!! will definitely be back!!!

A piece of paradise

What a paradise Jo and Jonah have created here! The photos do not do it justice. I had a lovely stay in my tropical paradise … it is now my favorite place on earth! Whoever wrote in their review to bring your own coffee .. yes, do that! Groceries (as with all things here) are expensive. But if you’re going to be in Bermuda .. this gorgeous property is a piece of heaven!

Beautiful property

This property was amazing! My husband and I have been to many VRBO properties (25+) and this by far was our favorite. It was beautifully appointed and had every amenity you would need. The roof top deck has a spectacular view of the beach and Cambridge Beach Resort. While the resort is close by, the property was quiet and peaceful. From the moment we walked through the property gate, Jo, Jonah and their dogs, Abby and Sammy, made us feel very welcome and at home. They truly are wonderful hosts. We will definitely be returning as this was paradise found for us! Lynn and Steve

Sea View Delight

We are giving this accommodation the best review possible, taking the risk that this will make future bookings harder to get. We will most certainly return. Jo and Jonah are superb hosts and couldn’t have done any more to make our stay so enjoyable. The cottage is beautiful, and very well equipped. The kitchen is state of the art, the views unbeatable, every comfort you could want. The surrounding property is awesome and the gardens will continue to be beautiful for years to come. Simply Bermuda-ful

My husband and I spent a week over Christmas at The Greenhouse - we couldn’t have made a better choice. The cottage was perfect for the two of us; from the extremely comfortable bed to the high end technology (including remote controlled blinds) to a kitchen that is a chef’s dream - Jo and Jonah have paid attention to every detail. The addition of Jonah’s art throughout the cottage makes the space even more special. Adding to our outstanding holiday was Jo and Jonah’s genuine hospitality - available at a moments notice if we had a question, offering a ride to the market upon our arrival (as it was getting dark), and even spending time with us on Christmas Eve. They are a delightful couple! The location is also spot on. Much to do within walking distance and a ferry and bus stop are close by. Access to Cambridge Beach Resort restaurants was also a plus. We left knowing that we found a very special place on a beautiful island and we look forward to our return to The Greenhouse.
