This sleekly renovated post and beam home was designed by the famous mid-century architects Palmer & Krisel and built by the Alexander Construction Company in 1958.
We need to point out that this is a house for grown ups. If you're looking for a house to party in, this is not the right rental for you. We take great care of our home and expect that our guests do likewise. The City of Palm Springs has very strict rules for vacation rental properties and we abide by all of them:
• Palm Springs noise ordinance is STRICTLY ENFORCED.
• Music cannot be played outside in vacation rental properties at any time. (This includes playing music inside the house that can be heard outside.) The first infringement is a $500 fine and will result in immediate eviction with no refunds. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• No rentals to anyone under 25 years of age. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• No more than 4 vehicles can be parked at the house at any time. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs. $500 fine.
• Maximum overnight guests: 8. Maximum daytime guests: 12. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs and strictly enforced.
• Overnight occupancy is limited to the number of guests specified on the rental agreement.
• BREAKING ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES, WHETHER YOU RECEIVE A CITATION OR NOT, WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION WITH NO REFUNDS.
• Vacation Property Rental Agreement must be completed and signed and government issued ID provided prior to occupancy. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• Upon arrival, all guests must sign acknowledgement of the Palm Springs Good Neighbor brochure. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• This is a non-smoking rental.
• There is no child safety fence around the pool but per California law, all doors leading to the backyard include a safety chime.
• For safety and security, the front yard, the pool equipment area and the rear garage door are monitored by CCTV. We respect your privacy and DO NOT have any cameras inside the house.
• Guests are encouraged to purchase “cancel for any reason travel insurance” to cover any unforeseen circumstance that may result in a cancellation.

Inside you'll find this luxurious and extremely spacious home meets all your needs with plenty of room to relax and unwind with family and friends. This entire resort-style home has been remodeled and reflects the modernist vibe that its heritage has earned with a large TV/family room that looks out to the stunning entryway courtyard and the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen that opens directly onto the pool deck.
A Rich History:
The home is the former residence of pioneering female film producer, Harriet Parsons, daughter of the famous Hollywood gossip columnist, Louella Parsons, who also resided here in her later years. Among Harriet's more notable films are ''I Remember Mama'' (1948); ''Enchanted Cottage'' (1945); ''Clash By Night'' (1952); ''Never A Dull Moment (1952), and ''Susan Slept Here'' (1954). Before becoming a movie producer, Harriet Parsons was a screen and magazine writer. She had her own radio program, ''Hollywood Highlights,'' in 1938.

RATES:
• All stays under 28 nights are subject to the City of Palm Springs Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 11.5% and the TBID assessment of 1%.
• Rates are higher for holidays & special events. Please inquire before booking.
• Weekly rates do not apply during special events/holidays e.g. Coachella, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year.
• Holiday weekends: 3 night minimum.
• Coachella: 4 night minimum.
• Optional pool heating available at $100 per day (2 day minimum).
• Dog fee: $80 PER DOG (plus 12.5% tax). Please write to me first telling me about your dog before making a reservation.
• Monthly guests: Stays of 28 nights or more pay actual utility charges (gas & electricity). Monthly guests are also required to have a mid-month cleaning.
COMMITMENT TO OUR GUESTS:
- This property is cleaned in accordance with the guidelines published by the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP) for safely disinfecting a short term rental property.

PARKING: By law, only 4 vehicles total can park on this property (this includes street parking). License plate numbers for each vehicle will be required at check-in.
Other things to note
- Stays of 27 nights or less are subject to City of Palm Springs Transient Occupancy Tax of 11.5% and 1% TBID.

PLEASE NOTE - Breaking any of these rules will result in a $500 fine from the City and immediate eviction with no refunds.
- No outdoor music is allowed at any time. This includes any music, at any volume, on any device including a cell phone, plus indoor music which can be outside.
- Responsible party (YOU) must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and sign the rental agreement.
- Maximum overnight occupancy is 8 people. Maximum daytime occupancy is 12 people.
- The City of Palm Springs requires that we obtain a photo of your government issued ID (drivers' license or passport) plus a list of all people staying at the property including the number of cars and their license plate numbers.
- Pool heat is available for $100 per day with a two day minimum. This is a direct cost to us with no mark up. We highly recommend pool heat from October - April.
- This home is not childproof or pet-proof, inside or out. The pool does not have a child safety fence.
- Reservations of 28 nights or more require a utility deposit and bi-weekly cleaning service. Utilities are charged based on actual usage.
- BBQ has a natural gas hardline. An extra cleaning charge may be added if the BBQ is left with excessive grease.
- Holiday and special event rates may be higher.
LIABILITY WAIVER:
- By making your reservation you and the other members in your party as THE GUESTS agree to release THE HOSTS from all liability, including financial responsibility, relating to injuries & personal property damage that may occur during your stay. You also understand that using the pool is at your own risk. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising while on the property and hold owners harmless.
