Skii, hiking, fishing and swimming etc, with high-speed Wi-Fi and close proximity to the city, you are not really too far from civilization either.

This is a scam

We booked this property and the owner contacted me the night before to say that there was an electrical fire and we would have to stay at a different house, sight unseen. Did not ask if that was okay, just aggressively sent a key code for the other house. I contacted VRBO support and was told that the other house was not listed on the site and that the owner only said there was no power at the property. I got a refund, but we had to find another place with only hours of notice, plus I lost several hours dealing with the inconvenience. Absolutely do not book this property. Maybe it's not a scam, but why risk it?

The house was an older cute home. Very comfortable and inviting. The owner Tony was very easy to talk with and a great communicator. The kitchen is lovely and had plenty of things for your need. We really enjoyed our stay! 😊

Relaxing journey

It was everything I expected it to be and more. Rough start with the water which I expected , but reading the reviews I was prepared for the worst case scenarios; the communication was excellent!! The house was comfortable and we loved the feel of being around nature. After exploring the grounds we found the rocks and thought “let’s leave our mark” It was actually one of the best highlights was creating our special item to leave behind!!

Home feeling

Great communication with home owner Tony. A few issues were brought to the attention of the home owner on our first night, and it was late in the evening The issues being we did not understand a duvet there was no top sheet just a duvet. It was winter and so my grandmother and my wifes grandmother were cold And we couldn’t find any other blankets in the home. we are use to the bed having a fitted sheet, with a top sheep, then a down comforter. The other issue was the fans in each room had a lot of accumulated dust and my grandmother had serious upper respiratory issues so she couldn’t use her fan in the room. The next morning, Tony had arranged for the cleaning lady to show up. When she showed up she brought a care package along with more blankets, donuts and also took care of cleaning the fans . Once that was taken care of the overall stay was extremely comfortable. We loved the home and the whole family slept great. This is a great place to stay and feels like home. The home is simple and comfortable. We really appreciated the assistance and communication with the home owner. Would book this place again.

West Point Family Weekend

We stayed here for West Point Family Weekend. Less than a half hour drive to West Point (closer to 25-30 minutes than the 20 listed). The listing isn't quite accurate - we did not find a hot tub - may be a language issue, it does have a bath tub, it has a window air conditioner units and baseboard heat, not central heat/air which was fine for October. It has 1 full bathroom with a tubshower and master bathroom with full size walk in shower. No half baths. The refrigerator was small - not standard kitchen size. It also does not have an ice maker which would be nice. There was no water pressure when we arrived - frustrating after a 15 hour drive, but the host had it fixed by the next day and refunded 1 night stay because of it. I would stay there again. Seems to be in the process of redecorating/remodeling. Bathrooms and kitchen are great. Living room is good. Bedrooms good, closets older, dining room older.

Okay, but could have been better

The inside of the house was clean. Bathrooms were recently renovated and nice. Unfortunately, the water temperature in the master bathroom shower was cold and would not heat up. The outside areas have potential, but the landscaping was overgrown and usable areas were dirty and full of leaves. It would have been nice to be able to use the outdoor spaces. The kitchen is adequate, but not as well stocked as other rentals we have stayed in.

Excellent Stay

The property is beautiful, clean, and welcoming! With plenty of beds, a modern washer/dryer, lush yard, and large dining area. The communication with Tony was on spot and forthcoming. There were no issues whatsoever and we look forward to more places such as this one. It's obvious that Tony takes excellent care of this property and pays attention to the finer details. Thanks!!

Hudson Valley HQ

My friends and I wanted to get out of the city for a weekend. This home was perfect for our needs. We brought my toddler along with close friends for some time in nature and visiting the shops of Beacon and Poughkeepsie. This house provided us the perfect spot to enjoy a little space. The entire experience couldn't have been easier. I would definitely stay here again.

Has Potential but needs attention to details

Sent wrong rental info, front door doesn’t latch easily, a lot of standing water in yard that needs attention. There was neither dishwasher or sponge to do dishes. Place could be ok but owner needs to tune into details
