In the year 2003 we reconstructed this building in the classic style of a Mosel mansion on the foundation of an old wine-grower's house. Just 150 m away from the river Mosel, at the Pommerbach brook, the building enjoys perfect peace and quiet. You can relax without getting disturbed by the noise of the railway, road or ships. We have our own parking spaces right at the house. The house fits in with the traditional built-up area of the old village centre, yet there is enough space for a small lawn where you can sit and have a barbecue. Bikes can be stowed away safely. Apart from the holiday home, our own office for architectural and engineering services is located in the building. During the day we are at your service anytime for information and convenience. In the evening the peace and quiet are all yours. Having been completed in October 2005, the holiday home can now be rented.
Wine-growers of the Mosel and wine tastings: Our small village at the Mosel is still deeply rooted in the wine growing business. Among our 500 inhabitants you will find 12 full-time wine-growers and a great many others who work part-time in their vineyards. If wine-tasting is your pleasure, you might consider coming to us in the wintertime. The wine-growers are then not so busy in the vineyards as they are at other times. Instead they work in the cellars and can take their time to talk shop with you about the Mosel wine and how it matures, or you can taste the wine straight from the wood. We should be glad to get you in touch with our local wine-growers or make appointments for you, just as you like.
Hiking at the Mosel and in the Eifel: The mild climate of the Mosel and the picturesque adjacent valleys is ideal for long hikes even in the winter. The forests in those valleys will protect you against the wind and it does not rain as heavily as in the plains. In the summer you can enjoy the shade of the trees. Of course we will gladly take you to those places in our area where you want to start your hikes so that you do not depend on your car.
On horseback at the Mosel and in the Eifel: Do you like going on horseback? Do you also suffer from this last incurable female disease, going on horseback? If so, talk to my wife and she will lead you on a ride through parts of the Eifel and the Mosel valleys. Since we only have access to a limited number of horses, however, only two people can come along. If you want to take your own horse along when you go on holiday we would be glad to find a stable and paddock for you at very favourable prices.
