Aside from this being my first time with this style of rental. I felt like the hands off approach to both check in and check out a little confusing.

Very Disapointed

We booked this property because the description and photos showed excellent views of downtown Dallas. When we entered the unit we were not greeted with the same views. We went back to check the listing to compare the photos, and the entire listing had changed. Different photos, furniture, views, description. It was concerning to say the least, but we decided to make the best out of our trip. The unit seemed to be clean, but we then discovered mouse droppings on one toilet, what looked like marijuana residue in the cabinet with glasses, the kitchen sponge had not been changed out for several stays, and the bed sheets were stained. There were no hangers in the closets. No iron. Only 4 washrags for our entire stay. I would hardly consider the kitchen "fully stocked." The property itself continuously smells of marijuana. We were not able to use the pool because it is not locked down to guests only. Anyone at any time can enter the pool area and there is access to it from the public sidewalk. The amount of homeless people in the area is intense. It is hard to walk anywhere because they continuously come up to you and are belligerent if you don't have what they want. That is not the host's fault, but wish I had known before booking. Overall the condo is not comfortable. There was only one uncomfortable couch for seating. We spent most of the time sitting on the floor. Getting into the condo is a process with a long code. It felt unsafe. Wish I would have just booked a hotel.

Vintage Comfort

The apartment we booked had super comfortable beds, Heavenly scented hand soaps & shower gels, was very tidy & cool from the moment we walked in. It was well laid out & had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable & relaxing. The property itself is nice & has a vintage charm. With that vintage charm comes unexpected stairs & slow elevators. I recommend unloading & loading at the valet parking area & entering/exiting through the doorway by the pool. To get to this door, when exiting the parking garage on foot, walk up Young St toward Ervay St, between the parking garage & Butler Building there is a wheelchair ramp & stairs, take those & follow the walkway toward the pool & back entrance to the Butler Building, this will lead you to the area near the leasing office & the elevators on the 1st floor, the elevators will be on the right through the glass doors by the leasing office. If you’re going to the convention center, it was about a 10 minute walk for us, though it was stated that it’s a 5 minute walk in the listing description. Be aware that there is a large homeless population in this part of town, but they didn’t really interact with us. I recommend requesting your car from valet 15ish minutes before you leave, so it will be ready shortly after you get to the valet station. We were unaware of the additional $200 deposit that was required prior to arrival & thought all fees were paid through VRBO. Hope this prevents that surprise for others. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Our homes are spacious and located in walkable places, next to major city attractions or parks. We are a small business operator that offers a personal touch, consistency, and professional customer service. There is no need to stay in a cookie-cutter hotel or short term rental from a large short term rental operator.
