Castelli Cottage est une maison traditionnelle en pierre de 150 ans, entièrement restaurée et magnifiquement rénovée.
C'est une maison d'hôtes très confortable et hospitalière, adaptée à ceux qui préfèrent des vacances paisibles en famille ou entre amis.
La maison est située dans un environnement entièrement vert et préservé, sur les flancs nord du mont Pantokratoras, dans un très petit village appelé Fourni, à 10 minutes de la ville la plus proche d'Acharavi.
Le site respire un calme et une tranquillité atmosphérique. Cela devient plus intense en raison de la vue panoramique du sud au nord, sur les collines d'oliviers et de cyprès jusqu'à la plage nord de Roda, Acharavi et l'île d'Othonoi.
Le coucher de soleil depuis la propriété est extraordinaire.

La belle maison meublée est d'environ 186 m², répartie sur 2 niveaux et a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour des vacances confortables. Il peut accueillir jusqu'à 8 adultes et 2 enfants. Le rez-de-chaussée dispose d'un salon confortablement meublé, d'une cuisine entièrement équipée, d'un grand coin repas et d'un w. c. Aussi, au rez-de-chaussée, mais avec une entrée privée - pas par la porte principale - il y a une sorte de studio: une chambre spacieuse avec 2 lits simples, une salle de bain avec douche et une petite cuisine avec coin repas pour deux gens.

Au premier étage, il y a 3 chambres avec lit double, 1 avec 2 lits simples, un grand hall avec un canapé-lit et 2 salles de bains supplémentaires.
Autour de la maison, il y a de nombreuses cours pour que quelqu'un puisse se détendre, manger, boire, lire, jouer à des jeux ou tout simplement regarder le magnifique coucher de soleil.
Vous pourrez, également, profiter de la petite piscine, au prolongement de la cour supérieure, dont le site culmine charme, tranquillité et beauté du paysage.
La piscine est partagée avec la prochaine petite maison, Castelli Olive Press, la maison auxiliaire de mes grands-parents, maintenant disponible à la location également. Électrolyse au sel, sans additifs chimiques: eau claire, inodore et sûre.

Lieu magnifique pour un séjour inoubliable

La maison, son site et sa vue correspondait en tout point à nos attentes et même plus. Une vue à couper le souffle. Une maison spacieuse très confortable et décorée avec beaucoup de goût, loin de l'animation du bord de mer tout en étant très proche. Un lieu particulièrement tranquille avec un village typique à un 1/4 h à pieds. La piscine représente un vrai plus. De nombreux emplacements extérieurs pour déjeuner, prendre l'apéritif, discuter et vivre à l'heure Grecque. En résumé un lieu magique que nous recommandons pour ceux qui recherche la beauté, le calme et l'esprit Grecque. Nous remercions la gentillesse de Matina particulièrement attentive à ce que notre séjour se passe le mieux possible. Nous reviendrons sans doute.

Perfect house for a 3-generation family reunion

As charming and comfortable as the photos suggest. Separate entrances for all but two rooms also gave each of our family subgroups extra privacy, while the large and comfortable common areas provided plenty of space to gather, play fishbowl, or read and relax together. PERFECT. And Stephen, Maggie, and John were so attentive and welcoming!

Despite some unseasonally cold and rainy weather (May 2023) we enjoyed our time in Corfu. The bad weather did not last and good weather allowed us to take several day trips around the north eastern part of the island which is the most beautiful part of the island. The cottage is tastefully decorated and all five bedrooms were equipped with heaters and air conditioning if needed. The views are spectacular and an oasis of peace (if that is what you are looking for.) Acharavi is a 20 minute journey and offers everything you might need including groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. By far the greatest asset are the caretakers for the property who live near the cottage: Stephan and Maggie. They are the kindest and most helpful people I have ever met. I also love their dogs and cats. They and the stunning scenery (olive groves, orange trees, almond trees) make this property special. True, the last bit of gravel track you must follow to the cottage is "interesting" and a bit rough but if you are interested in finding tranquility in a quiet off the beaten track location, this is for you. In the end, there were 8 of us and we all agreed that we had a great time.

Wunderbare Lage und tolles Haus mit einzigartigem Blick über die Hügel im Norden

Das Haus ist wunderbar und liebevoll eingerichtet und versprüht einen eigenen, alten Charme. Es gibt ausreichend Zimmer auch für größere Gruppen und die Lage sowie der Blick vom Haus und dem Grundstück aus ist grandios. Der Pool ist klein aber gepflegt und reicht zum Abkühlen und Planschen absolut aus. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber auf der Insel auch nicht außergewöhnlich. Leider waren wir in einer Zeit da, in der es im Garten vor Wespen und Hornissen nur so gewimmelt hat. Wir konnten leider nicht draußen essen, da wir mit kleinen Kindern dort waren. Aber der Tisch im Haus ist auch groß genug gewesen für 8 Personen.

An idyllic five days

This is a truly magnificent property in a stunning setting. The welcome we received from Stephen was lovely - including from his gorgeous and gentle animals (absolutely not something to worry about if you happen not to like dogs and cats - they don’t intrude). He met us in Acharavi and led us up the hill to the cottage. When we arrived it really is like something from a film set. We cooked on the bbq, whilst drinking cocktails watching the sun set over the Mediterranean. And then we sat under the vines and enjoyed lazy dinners. The location in the hills sets off the most amazing view - which was breathtaking each and every time we looked!. The cottage itself is gorgeous. Each bedroom is beautiful and the kitchen is well stocked. Pool is great - just large enough to have a swim - with that amazing view. No faults at all. But you definitely do need a car - it’s a drive up the hill from Acharavi and then steep road to the cottage. Well worth it. I’d rush to go back.

Schönstes Haus

Das war das schönste Haus das wir je gemietet haben. Wunderschön gelegen oben auf einem Hügel in einem Olivenhain, wahnsinnig geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ganz viel Platz für uns mit unseren 6 Kindern, wunderschöner Pool und zahlreiche schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Rundum perfekt und sehr zu empfehlen! Vielen Dank an Matina!

Our mamamia villa, we loved it

Just like a movie setting... really thoughtfully decorated, with good taste. Homely feeling to it all. We appreciated the details cleaning during the week, fresh towels, ‘greentea lemon’ scented bath shower soap even with a bodymilk ;) So nice. The view is breathtaking and corfu a lovely island to explore. We surely recommand this property, you have enough privacy and also can share good talks and wine with your friends on the porch. Fabulous villa with breathtaking views/sunsets

We had a wonderful time celebrating an 80th birthday in this beautiful rustic villa set in the hills above Acharavi. There was ample room for a group of 10 adults with plenty of outside seating for relaxing, eating and watching the many spectacular sunsets. Matina kindly met us in Acharavi when we first arrived to guide us to the villa, which is tucked away up a steep and windy track (you soon get accustomed to this last leg of the journey). The villa is well equipped with a lovely outside pool area - pool towels are supplied. We met the neighbours Maggie and Steve (and their 4 lovely dogs), they were very friendly and we sampled their homemade wine and figs from their garden. We went to the local supermarkets in Acharavi where there are plenty of shops and Tavernas. Our favourite beach was Almyros which is 5 mins outside the town in the direction of Kassiopi. We also went to Agios Spyridon beach where we hired 2 boats from North Corfu boat hire, this was a great day out. Matina was a great host and we hope to return one day.

Beautiful Vacation Place

We had a wonderful holiday at Castelli Cottage. The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. There were plenty of seating areas outside and inside for the whole family to hang out together, while the spacing of the bedrooms and the many bathrooms ensured that there was also privacy when wanted. The house is surrounded by olive trees and the view and the sunsets are amazing. The owner, Matina, was very accommodating of our whole family as well as being flexible with check-in and check-out times which was so appreciated with a toddler. We loved staying here and had a blast!

Uniquely situated, fantastic views, very tranquil in a small community-the whole family loved it. Steve who lives locally very good on advice and help. Martina gave us a delightful welcome and reliable local recommendations. Definitely small ish car or jeep as long winding hillside track through the olive groves, but you soon master it. Would thoroughly recommend to all those who love traditional Corfu.

Amazing location and very charming house

The situation is splendid, the view of the mountains and the sea, being in the middle of the olive trees is unique. The sunsets are beautiful. The outside and the inside of the house are confortable with all you what you need to rest and eat outside, barbecue and great swimming pool. It is perfect to be shared by two families with children. Matina is so friendly, her advices are very good (beach, shopping), that you can feel living in the real Greece. One topic to be noticed : it is better to rent a jeep or a small car to reach the house. Unfortunately this summer there were a lot of wasps.

Wieder wunderbar!

Wir waren im letzten Jahr da und restlos begeistert. Dieses Jahr gab es extra Platz und einen Pool! Unsere Kinder waren vollkommen glücklich. Die Vermieterin ist großartig und hat einen wunderbaren Geschmack. Für uns einer der schönsten Orte überhaupt.

Idyllic place

Beautiful house and surroundings. Peace, quiet and nature ... cicadas and crickets. Very friendly hosts and neighbors, Stephen and Maggie:) Great furnished house with atmosphere and comfort, away from the hustle and bustle of resorts yet close to the beach. Very clean and functional. Big house, good split, allowing you to enjoy the place together or separate from the rest of the guests. Gorgeous, with views of the valley and the sea terrace with swimming pool. Great place for a reasonable price. Thanks for everything!

A little piece of heaven!

We enjoyed one of the most relaxing and peaceful holidays we have ever had at Castelli Cottage. We booked very early and unbeknown to us, Stamatia had worked like mad all through the winter and spring to upgrade this delightful old house inside and out, providing more shaded sitting out areas and installing a further terrace with a delightful pool. Everything went smoothly right from our arrival with great communication both with Stamatia and her neighbours Stephen and Maggie who were really helpful and friendly. We were also befriended by a couple of the village cats and dogs who were never a nuisance but sometimes liked to loll around in the shade keeping us company. As soon as we arrived we dropped all our plans for driving out to visit old haunts around the island and spent a delightful week lounging by the pool and enjoying the stunning views over the north west of the island, watching the birds, barbecuing and reading. Acharavi was an easy 10 minute drive for excellent shops when we needed supplies! People have mentioned the track up to the Cottage but it's fine as long as you don't have too big a car. Finally, we had the luxury of having Castelli Cottage to ourselves but since Stamatia has now renovated the adjoining Olive Press with the same immaculate taste as is evident throughout the property, Castelli would also be great for extended family groups or perhaps for art or walking groups too. We are already wondering who we might like to share this little piece of heaven with another time. Thank you Stamatia for a wonderful holiday.

Entspannter Familienurlaub

Wir haben mit unsere Familie mit drei kleinen Kindern einen sehr angenhemen und entspannten Urlaub in diesem Haus mit großen Grundstück udn toller terasse verbracht. Da vier Schlafzimmer vorhanden sind, was es ohne Probleme möglich auch noch zwei Erwachsene temporäre Besucher mit unterzubringen. Viele kindergerechte Stände sind in 10-20 min Autofahrt erreichbar. Für eine Mittelmeerregion finden sich außergewöhnlich viele, einfach erreichbare Wanderwege, auch direkt vom Haus aus. In jedem Fall eine Empfehlung, wir überlegen auch wieder zu kommen.

Wunderbar!

Ein wunderbarer Ort! Abgeschieden und doch nicht vollkommen allein. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin und Nachbarn (deren freundliche Hunde unsere Kinder liebten). Grandiose Aussichten und Sonnenuntergänge. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wegen der Mischung aus Nähe, Platz und räumlicher Trennung hervorragend für zwei bis drei Parteien geeignet. Wir würden immer wieder kommen!

Maison de rêve!

Si vous cherchez à expérimenter autre chose que le bord de mer et les masses de touristes, c'est l'endroit parfait. Néanmoins à proximité de plages et de services mais vous aurez besoin d'une voiture. Mention spéciale à la superbe terrasse qui permet d'admirer les couchers de soleil sur Corfou. Assez d'espaces pour familles ou groupes de 10. Maison charmante et bien aménagée!

Wonderful house - wonderful stay

We stayed in the Traditional Stone Guesthouse for 7 nights and 8 days and we regretted our stay could not last longer for everything was perfect. The house is just wonderful with a stunning view to the see in the distance. In the evening you can relax in front of postcard sunsets. The house is fully equipped with whatever you need, the rooms very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Stephen, our neighbour next door, provided us with kind advice about what we could visit around (the north east coast is just stunning) in addition to delicious eggs from his own chickens and a bottle of his own wine. Finally Stamatia arranged every practical detail of the rental in the best and most effective possible way and I would like to thank her for the bottle of Greek red wine, the ouzo and the marmalade we found on the table on our arrival. Perfect stay !

we really spent beautiful holidays in castelli cottage. adventurous approach for the last 400m. big patio with great view, amazing sunsets. the cottage was very clean and well-maintained. likeable contacts with the owners (matina) , very pleasant and helpful neighbours (steven and maggie). many nice restaurants in acharavi (george). really recommand for everyone. sehr schönes cottage, sehr sauber und gut unterhalten. sympathische kontakte mit den besitzern (matina), sehr herzliche und hilfsbereite nachbarn (steven und maggie). absolut ruhig gelegen, schöne zimmer, sehr geeignet auch für familien. wunderbare terrasse(n) mit super aussicht und schönen sonnenuntergängen. etwas abenteuerliche anfahrt auf den letzten ca. 400m durch den olivenhain. mehrere schöne restaurants in acharavi, vor allem das "george" etwas ausserhalb direkt am strand gelegen hat uns sehr gefallen. können das castelli cottage allen empfehlen. susanne and markus

great week at castelli cottage

We stayed one week in mid October 2014 and enjoyed it very much. First contacts were very easy and prompt, the site itself was actually like pictured in the net. The place is very welcome and offers a beautiful view over the area and is located as good base for walking and hiking.
