Bienvenue à Romance Ridge! Seulement 5 miles de la Skyline Drive et le parc national de Shenandoah, Romance Ridge est équipée avec tout le nécessaire pour votre escapade. Privée, niché dans le flanc de la montagne avec vue sur le parc national Shenandoah. Doté d'un plan d'étage studio ouvert avec lit king-size, salle de bain complète et cuisine entièrement équipée. Il suffit d'apporter votre sac et gastronomiques ingrédients. Frais, des draps de luxe sont inclus dans votre séjour. Matelas nouvellement nommé Juin 2018. Profitez du bain à remous toute l'année et du foyer au bois d'octobre à mars pendant que vous vous détendez pour la semaine ou le week-end. Accès Internet sans fil et Direct TV inclus. Aussi inclus sont un fer à repasser, sèche-cheveux, barbecue (amener charbon de bois), et à l'extérieur table de pique-nique sur le pont inférieur. S'il vous plaît faites comme chez vous!

Best cabin ever

We've traveled around the U.S. visiting national parks, and I have to say everything about this cabin was the best we've ever experienced. It was comfortable, clean, and "just like home". We had great communications with the owner when we had questions. There was a nice supply of firewood for the fireplace and warm water for the hot tub. Very convenient to the national park and easy drive to communities if you'd prefer to eat out instead of cooking at home. Thanks for the great stay!

Great property, great views, private, clean, easy in and out. Loved it, comfortable king size bed, great hot tub, nice size kitchen area. All around great place!

Private and peaceful

We enjoyed our stay here. There is a narrow road leading to the cabin but we never encountered another person while driving it. The cabin was beautiful and the host provided ample firewood which was really nice.

Perfect Getaway

First off-Kelly was so available for questions, info and recommendations. Perfect host! The cabin was perfect for a week stay. The hottub was incredible( even though it was July). If youre looking for a very private, cozy, quiet, and romantic getaway; this is your place! 5 stars!!

Perfect spot for peace and serenity, great location

Romance Ridge was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and pup. It is in a very rural setting with plenty of privacy, no noise or light pollution. It's surrounded by beautiful trees. All you can hear are the birds singing and the cicadas. It is 15 minute ride to one of the entrances to the Shenandoah National Park. We drove to Luray several times which is about an hour away but it's a nice drive so we did not mind driving at all. The hot tub was great. Although we only used it once because we got back to the cabin late most nights, we were glad to have had the option to use it. The inside of the cabin is beautuful. I loved the high ceilings and the big windows. If you are a light sleeper and don't like bright lights early in the morning I recommend getting an eye mask. The amount of space was just perfect for my husband and I and 10 lb pups. Kelly was a wonderful host and provided plenty of information regarding the surrounding area and fun things and hikes to check out. We had no issues with anythjng. The whole check in and out process was super easy. We would absolutely rent from Kelly and Bill again. Romance Ridge is a perfect spot for serenity, peace, quiet, tranquility and a place to let go of all the baggage we all carry around when out in the real world and caught up in the daily grind. We recommend highly the Shenandoah River outfitters for a day on the lazy river. Also a must is the Luray Caverns. Hiking in SNP was amazing. So many beautiful summitts.

Perfect Escape

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay :) The cabin was clean and cozy. Mornings on the deck drinking coffee, days spent hiking and playing games, and evenings in the hot tub. Would love to return again.

Perfect for a quiet getaway!!

Romance Ridge did not disappoint and was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet getaway where my husband and I could enjoy the peace of nature away from all the bustle of normal life. We truly enjoyed that this was easy to access from I-81, and was within reasonable driving distance from grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants while still feeling like you were a million miles away deep in the forest. The fully equipped kitchen was great as we prefer to cook, the smart TV was perfect for evenings, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on at a VRBO property (and we generally always use VRBO for travel), and the hot tub was an amazing perk! The location was also conveniently located not far from Charlottesville being under an hour from Monticello, less than an hour drive to the amazing Luray Caverns (a must see in the area!), and just a hop, skip, and a jump to Skyline Drive, and the Shenandoah National Forest where there are a plethora of great hiking trails to waterfalls, view wildlife, and reconnect with nature. The hosts were amazing as well. Kelly provided all the information we needed to ensure a smooth check-in and answered all of the questions we had. She even took the liberty of offering recommendations of things to see and do in the area. She went above and beyond to make sure we were all set to have a great stay! We will definitely bookmark this hidden gem to come visit again!

Comfortable base for hiking

Very comfortable cabin. Very clean. Mattress and bedding superior. Beautiful balcony with hot tub overlooking woods and mountain. Easy access to hiking in Shenandoah park and close enough to day trip to Luray or Charlottesville.

Anniversary trip to Shenandoah

We visit a national park every anniversary and stay at a cabin with a hot tub and a view. This one was VERY nice and had the little details you see at a 4+star hotel from folded towels, bath robes, and good coffee. This cabin is just 15 min away from skyline drive and the furnished kitchen meant we didn’t need to eat out (we love to cook). Highly recommend to couples who love each other’s company and love to escape to the quiet of mountains. Also would recommend seeing Luray caverns of you have any bad weather days.

Birthday Get Away

My girlfriend and I enjoyed the privacy and coziness of the cabin immensely. We toured Luray Caverns, Monticello, Montpelier and the Meem's Covered Bridge. I would definitely recommend going to the Bridge. The Hostess was very accommodating about any of our concerns, and that was greatly appreciated. Great Place.

Relaxing Weekend in Beautiful Cabin!

This cabin had everything needed for a restful weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub on the covered deck (even in the rain), the fireplace, the incredibly comfortable king bed, and the peacefulness of the wooded area! Hope to stay again very soon.

Anniversary getaway weekend

Fall Hiking

Cabin was as advertised. Hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking in nearby SNP. Kitchen was well equipped to cook our meals, as there are few dining options in the immediate area especially in the off season. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place!

Romance Ridge was the perfect place for my husband and I for our anniversary weekend getaway. The fire place and hot tub were great to end our days after miles of hiking. Cabin was clean, check-in was easy, communication with the host was great and check-out was super easy. Our only comment is that a pair of gloves or tongs would be great for the fire place. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely place to getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a few days to rest and recharge. It's such a nice, peaceful place. Although there are other houses, it's still incredibly private. If you like to hike, an entrance to Shenandoah National Park is very close. The host is very responsive. A couple of tiny changes would help. There was no dish brush to wash dishes. There were only enough dishes/silverware for 4 so when we ate 3 meals at the cabin we had to wash dishes a couple times a day. Having enough for 6 would be ideal. The trash can in the kitchen did not have a lid so in order to keep food odor down we had to bag trash ins smaller plastic bags. Overall a beautiful place!

Peaceful and Private!

The cabin was perfect! It’s in an awesome location just minutes from Skyline Drive, very private and one with nature! We loved just relaxing on the porch and listening to nothing but the birds and other creatures. It was just what we needed and can’t wait to go back!

Perfect for Couples

This is such a cute & cozy cabin that has all the amenities. It is well kept and very clean. It is perfect for couples. We spent three nights here exploring Shenandoah and different caverns. The hot tub was nice after hiking. The park entrance is close which is nice. You are also close to town if you need anything. Highly recommend this cabin.

We love the outdoors, and have a great appreciation for nature. We love to share the peace, tranquility, and romance of our cabin in the Shenandoah area. Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose to purchase this property, with hopes that we would relocate to the Charlottesville, VA area for its outdoor lifestyle. Our jobs keep us in Pennsylvania, but we enjoy 6-7 trips to Romance Ridge per year to take in the beauty and serenity of the mountains and hike the trails in the Shenandoah National Park.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Romance Ridge is located at the doorstep of the Shenandoah National Park, and is equidistant between University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and James Madison University in Harrisonburg. With two ski resorts close by at Masannutten and Wintergreen, it's not easy to choose! Luray Caverns is an easy day trip. There are numerous, breweries and vineyards in the area, along with antique shoppes, wildlife management areas, and country roads to explore and take in the undeveloped scenery. The Shenandoah Valley is rich with history, from Civil War trails to James Madison's Monticello, James Monroe's Ash Lawn, and James Madison's Montpelier. No matter your destination, we are sure you will enjoy the peace, solitude, and serenity of the cabin itself. Enjoy your stay!
