Catfish in Blue Ridge
I'm not one for reviews, but I try to think of it as trying to give a help to the next person. Photos don't match reality.I think if the place shared accurate images of things not quite right or listed out the issues that would make this review highlighting concerns not needed. The not so luxury list: 1. Upstairs bedroom has a lady bug infestation 2. Sheets have a pee or what looks like some other stain3. Hot tub… when was the last time it was changed? We couldn’t use it. It was just that bad.4. Ping Pong table, could not use net broken. 5. Basement bedroom doesn’t get warm enough. We made it work.6. No way to lock door going to garage from inside, which puts kids vulnerable if someone got into the garage… Why would there be no way to deadbolt from the inside. Major safety flaw in the mountains. 7. TV in basement didn’t connect to WiFi8. Closet in main floor bedroom missing a knob Silly thing, but lots of these types of flaws9. Basement bedroom bathroom can’t lock or rather stays locked but doesn’t work, you can still open. What was good?1. Outdoor fire pit2. Swing seat on porch3. Fridge was newI think if it was advertised as just a basic cabin in the mountains and not luxury then it could be good. Expectations and high cost just don't match the word "luxury". It's more of a spot that if your aunt and uncle owned and said you can stay for free just pay the cleaning fee it would be a good deal. Place just has to get honest with what it is.
