The views from this home will take your breath away. Casa Ron Ron is a one-of-a-kind home perched on the hillside overlooking a secluded bay in Playa Ocotal. It’s design is the brainchild of renowned Costa Rican architect, Víctor Cañas. The home was built in 2007 and named after the Ron Ron tree that is integrated into the cantilevered deck.

This home is perched high in the hills of Playa Ocotal. You are just a 5-minute drive to Playa Ocotal, Playa Pez Vela and another 10-minutes to downtown of Playas del Coco. Playa Ocotal is a sleepy town known for its beautiful beach and Father Rooster restaurant. Guests should also check out Soluna Beach Bistro at the Bahia Pez Vela resort. In Playas del Coco you'll find several supermarkets, fruit vendors, and more restaurants, bars, and shops to count. Enjoy a walk along the beach boardwalk or stroll the beach from point to point for a 3km walk. Many scuba diving, sport fishing, and sightseeing tours depart from Playa Ocotal and Playas del Coco.
Guanacaste International Airport (LIR) is a 40-minute drive from the home. You’re also close to several area day trip spots – waterfalls, hiking, hot springs, and mud baths, cultural experiences, and river tours. Enjoy the plethora of restaurants and activities in the area, then retire to the peace and tranquility of this beautiful vacation home.
Guests have full access to the carport, entire home and casita.
Casa Ron Ron spans over 4,500 square feet, boasting a striking blend of glass and concrete architecture. A prominent feature is the expansive wall of windows spanning the entire side of the house, offering panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding nature. Guest enjoy an open-plan living and dining area seamlessly connected to a grand deck, perfect for indoor-outdoor living. The scenic backdrop of pool and ocean views from the large kitchen enhances the culinary experience. For added convenience, a private chef can be arranged to cater to your culinary desires.
Three bedrooms are on the second floor of the home and a one-bedroom casita is accessed from the main house via a charming wooden bridge traversing the pool. Every bedroom offers stunning views, ensuite bathrooms and ample closet space. Outside, a sprawling deck equipped with lounge chairs and an L-shaped sofa overlook the majestic Pacific Ocean. While the weather is always warm here, the pool has a heater for cooler nights.

We highly recommend guests have a rental car for their stay, which we can assist with! The home is perched high in the hills and is not easily accessible by foot. We do not recommend this home without a rental car or private driver.
Please note that we do not have Uber or Lyft services here. We can provide you with local taxi driver numbers but, for guests that do not want a rental car, we highly recommend a private driver for a stress-free vacation.
The home has a covered carport with parking for 2 vehicles.
Given that one side of this home is made of a wall of glass windows and doors, harmless bugs may find their way inside, especially after dark when all of the lights are on. We have done our best to seal window and door seals and have installed lights to try to draw insects away from the home.
We recommend this home to groups of adults or families with children 12+. The unique architecture of the home includes open stairs, pool access without barriers, floating concrete floor pads and an unfenced sheer drop off. For these reasons, we don't recommend the home to guests with smaller children.
