The Bluestone Bungalow is central to everything Orlando! It lies in the heart of the Hourglass District and is ready to be your haven away from home. It has been completely renovated with new everything. New kitchen, new bathroom, new porch, new laundry room, all new furniture, and on and on. It was lovingly designed by a professional designer to be tasteful, homey, functional, and clean. Quality restaurants and modern conveniences are steps away. Downtown, SODO, and hospitals are very close.
Nestled in the heart of the Hourglass District of Orlando, the Bluestone Bungalow has easy access to hospitals and highways, and is walkable to multiple shops, restaurants, and breweries. With a Zillow walk score of 85 you can walk to coffee shops, WaWa, and restaurants, or 7 to 8 minutes in the car gets you to the downtown amenities, hospitals, and SODO business district. Universal Studios is 20 minutes away, and other famous Orlando parks just beyond.
This property blends bungalow charm with modern design, and is close to everything Orlando has to offer. This is not an ADU or guest house. You'll have the entire property and lot to yourself. The lot is large, with room all around the house to spread out, and 2 porches. It's versatile because the front room could be used as office/workspace or a bedroom with a trundle bed. Ideal for a single traveler, two single travelers, couples, or small families. The property could fit four people comfortably.
Features include a comfortable and spacious living room to relax and watch your large screen smart TV. The dining room connects the living area to the new kitchen and laundry room, as well as accessing the side porch to hang out on the new patio furniture when it's nice outside. The bedrooms are well appointed with blackout curtains, plenty of privacy, and ample drawer and closet space. If you're not in the mood to explore or you need to work remotely, the front room can double as a home office if needed, with a sit/stand desk and 24 inch monitor, as well as 300 Mpbs internet speed and a pleasant view out the front window. With the trundle bed, you can pull out the twin mattress for kids or guests as needed, or put it away and read a book on the day bed (full size mattress). The newly renovated bathroom completes the unit with all new fixtures and whimsical artwork. Outside you'll enjoy plenty of Orlando native plant species and a funky mimosa tree in the private backyard.
This bungalow is intended for anyone who wants furnished housing for more than a few days, but likely will not need to stay for a year. If you are interested in a longer stay than what is shown on the booking calendar please message me or submit a booking request and and I can adjust the end date if necessary and if available. We aim to be flexible but we do have a few policies that ensure a smooth rental experience:
- There is enough parking for 3 or potentially 4 vehicles on the property. 2 in the driveway area and 2 in front of the house.
- Please no smoking.
- Most dogs are permitted pending host approval. There is a non-refundable pet fee to cover additional cleaning required.
- As this property is intended to provide temporary stays, guests should not receive US Postal mail in the mailbox, and should instead utilize a PO Box or other nearby mailbox service. Receiving packages (Amazon, UPS, Fedex, etc.) is OK.
- Host provides utilities: electricity, water, septic, trash, wi-fi, pest and lawn service. OUC bills the water and electricity together monthly, and the landlord pays up to $225 per month. Guest is responsible for any monthly OUC charge over $225, this protects the landlord from extreme water and electricity usage.
