This is a fully separate apartment on the lower level of our home. With full sized windows and walk-out exterior door, it doesn't feel like a basement apartment - lush green views and plenty of light make it feel light and airy.

The apartment is a brand new renovated space, with a large, open living space, a new kitchen with full size fridge, dishwasher, stove, and microwave. We also have a coffee pot and toaster as well as the normal complement of dishes, cookware, kitchen knives, etc. (If we are missing anything, feel free to text, as we're just upstairs!). The living room has a working electric fireplace and TV with apple TV connected. A large expandable dining room table seats 6+, and the island has two seats for quick breakfasts. The living room sofa pulls out to a very comfortable full size bed. Both chairs also can be transformed into small twin beds, although they aren't very comfortable for anyone other than children, in my opinion.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a desk and chair with vanity mirror, and a luggage rack. A large closet is in the room for hanging clothes. The second bedroom can EITHER be set up as a kingsize bed OR two twin beds (NOT BOTH). Please let us know which works best for you, and we'll set it up before you arrive.

In the hallway, there's a full size washer/dryer and a full bath with a large shower, toilet & vanity. The apartment has it's own separate HVAC system with thermostat on the wall for your use. There's also a separate hot water heater, so hot showers should be no issue. The utility room has a vacuum and broom.

The apartment is down one set of stairs, but otherwise accessible with no stairs inside. The apartment is accessible by path from the sidewalk to the staircase on the north side of our home, and street parking is free & readily available. The home has a keycode entry and ring doorbell on the exterior. No cameras are inside the apartment.

From the apartment, you are just three blocks away from Takoma Rec Center, with two outdoor playgrounds & splashpark, futsol court, basketball courts, tennis/pickleball courts, large picnic area, outdoor fitness circuit, baseball diamond, and dog park. You are four blocks from the Takoma Metro, on the Red Line, and downtown Takoma, which includes Lost Sock Brewery (coffee), Donut Run, Takoma Bev Co, Starbucks, Busboys & Poets (with Politics and Prose Bookstore), Tabletop Gift Shop, Kin Da Thai restaurant, Roscoes Pizza, Motorcat, Cielo Roja, Gelateria, People's Book, Spring Mill Bread Co, and so much more!
