Serendipity: Renovated West Village Cabin with unobstructed forest views

Renovated top to bottom, Serendipity is the perfect mountain getaway for families and friends. The location can’t be beat: situated in Shaver Lake’s West Village, the cabin completely faces national forest on two sides, meaning your time on our wrap around deck is spent enjoying natural views, yet you are only a 3 minute walk into the cute town of Shaver Lake. We go the extra mile to ensure everything is new, clean, and well-stocked... ready for you to enjoy!

Serendipity is a comfortable cabin with all modern conveniences to make your stay easy and enjoyable: WiFi, 55" SmartTV with Chromecast, (unlimited streaming apps you can log yourself into,) heaters with thermostats in Bedrooms 1 and 2 and on the main floor (open concept kitchen/dining/living room) that also heats the loft Bedroom 3 above. There is a dedicated laundry room with high capacity washer and dryer, and stainless steel appliances in the leathered black granite kitchen. We can't forget about the Kid's Lair! A secret door in the back of the closet in Bedroom 3 leads to a kid-only (usually) hideout with smart TV, Sega Genesis Mini Console, games, and kids chairs. For the winter, we also have snow sleds, extra gloves and hats, and various snow gear so you can get outside and play even if you don't come prepared. There is awesome snow sledding right next to the deck!

Our 3 bedroom cabin is perfect for a large family, 2 families who love each other, 3 couples who each want their own room, or a group of friends (approximately 7-8 people) so you're not too crammed (there are 6 beds total if a 6 person group each wants their own.)

We have 2 types of coffee makers - a regular drip pot, and a Keurig. We provide a few starter K cups for the Keurig to get you by in a pinch, but in general make sure to BYO coffee - whether that is whole beans (we have a grinder,) ground, or K cups.

We want you to enjoy your vacation to the fullest, and we don't want to hamper your time with too many rules - that said, please observe the major ones such as NO pets, and be conscious of your noise late at night. Move your social hour and games of Cards Against Humanity (not provided) inside with the windows shut when it gets late.

We have several security cameras on the exterior of the cabin, for your safety and our protection... just saying, Sparky will be seen and heard if he joins you, so leave him at home please... because in case we haven't made it clear: NO PETS ALLOWED

While the freestanding potbelly stove in the living room is cute for pictures, it will remain locked and not for use - there are 3 gas heaters throughout the cabin to ensure you have a cozy and carefree stay.

Our cabin does not have Air Conditioning - most cabins in Shaver do not have A/C, but if that is something you want, make sure you specifically search for a home with that. While there can be some hot weeks during July and August where it will get into the 80s or even 90s during the day, it always cools off overnight, and usually is 70s/80s during the day. We have ceiling fans in all bedrooms, a nice freestanding fan you can move around or use to pull in cool air in the evenings, etc. You're headed to the mountains - get outside and enjoy the deck, lake, and trails!
