Profitez de cette belle maison face au lac, à seulement deux miles de la ville pittoresque de North Hero. Situé à 30 minutes de Burlington et à une heure de Montréal. Site idéal pour se détendre et de vacances avec famille et amis. Disponible toute l'année. Très bien situé en été pour profiter du lac et explorer; à l'automne pour feuilles-peepers; en hiver pour la pêche sur glace; au printemps pour profiter des meilleures conditions météorologiques. pêche Terrific - un accès facile à l'un des lacs de basse-pêche de premier aux États-Unis.

Great family house

We are a family of 6 siblings with spouses, and various cousins, nieces, nephews in and out of the house from other nearby houses. The house is large enough to accommodate us all very comfortably and the many bathrooms is almost unheard of for places in the Lake Champlain islands. The house had everything we needed for large family dinners every night after "cocktail hour" out on the deck. The owner, Jeff, has been wonderful over the 9 years we have been staying here, is responsive and communicative. We will miss this place, as I think the owner wants to now enter a new phase of his life where summer rentals are not part of his plan. Thank you Jeff for letting us stay in your wonderful house all these years and good luck in this next chapter of your life.

Beautiful property

We needed a place that would accommodate our kids, their spouses and our grandkids. This house was perfect and easily accommodated all 12 of us. It is large with many en-suite bedrooms. The house was well stocked. The gardens around the house are spectacular. The lake was great and kids swam and fished. We used the fire pit and really enjoyed everything about this lovely home. I would love to try to get everyone together and stay here again! I highly recommend this property. The owner was super responsive with any questions.

Lovely for a family vacation

There are so many rooms to hold people of different sizes and needs, and the proximity to the water is hard to beat. It’s a little far from Burlington and the main land, but there’s so much to do in North Hero and the other islands!

Great family place on the lake

We have been coming here for a few years and this place is large enough to accommodate us all, 12 adults and 2 dogs. There is a wonderful deck where we had evening cocktails and hors d'Oeuvres looking out on the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with all amenities. While not as hot this year as in past years we appreciated the air conditioners that were available in the "hottest" rooms and the fans that were spread around. We love this place and Jeff is a great host, easy to contact.

White Gables

Our family enjoyed every moment of our stay at White Gables. The home is cozy yet accommodating for our family of 14. We shared in cooking our meals, playing board games, puzzling, swimming and floating on the lake, kayaking, paddle boarding and sitting by the campfire.

Fabulous house with stunning views

The house was spacious, very comfortable, had everything you could think of needed for cooking and entertainment for young and older! Books and games galore. Although there is a busy road behind and a road in front of the house, the traffic was not bad due to the time of year. Might be busier in the summer making it a bit more challenging for our age grandchildren (1-7 yrs old). The beach was perfect for them with a buffer from the road, shallow waters and lots of rocks to play with. Kyaking fantastic! Overall a really wonderful house and setting!!!

We loved this house!

We loved the variety of rooms and the privacy among them. We loved the incredibly well-organized kitchen. We loved the many chairs, indoors and out. We loved the garden and the fire pit. The sunrises over the lake are well worth getting up for, whether you peer through the window or sit out on the dock. We were a big group of old friends spending a long weekend together, and we couldn't have wished for a better place to do it. Jeff is also a terrific host, by the way.

Spacious well equipped house ..beautiful views

We loved our time at White Gables. Lots if rooms and bathrooms a kitchen with everything you may need. We would have loved an additional kayak but enjoyed using the one there. Very clear water and beautiful views of the Green Mountains.

Beautiful Property

The house and property are well cared for and clean - the photos do not really convey the size and many different spaces in the house. Our extended family of 10 adults and one five-year-old were well able to spread out. The outdoor areas are beautiful too. We enjoyed the fire pit area and the beautiful views of the lake. If you can get up early enough, sunrise on the lake is well worth getting up for.

So much fun….

Incredible place for family reunion! Lake is across the street with beautiful views of mountains. The front garden is also very beautiful. The inside is more spacious than the pictures show. There is a lot of room for 14 people! We definitely would come back.

Magical place

The photos do not do this property justice. It is a beautiful home on a picture perfect property. The gardens were in bloom and simply stunning. The home is so well appointed-above and beyond all expectations. And to top it off, the lake access and beach are steps away. What a great time we had.

Absolutely perfect for all ages!

This place is an absolute gem! There were so many wonderful things to do for both adults and children. It has by far the best game closet I have ever seen and every thing you need for entertaining and hosting a large group. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic for a big group!

We had a blast! Group of 13 with dogs! There is space to spread out. Most bedrooms have bathrooms - really great. Beds were comfy. Fire pit was used a ton. Kitchen has everything!! Saw a gorgeous sunrise. Perfect

Perfect for us

We have been coming to this property for a few years and we love it. We are 6 adult siblings/spouses and 2 dogs and this house accommodates us all very comfortably. The kitchen has everything you could need. There were many updates this year, including additional seating in the dining area, improved furniture in the living room, and a fire pit! The waterfront has a lovely dock for sitting and the water was very clear this year at this time. We have stayed here in July also and the only thing I would say about that time, especially with climate change upon us, is that it can be quite hot for sleeping. There are lots of fans available and sometimes a good breeze, but AC would be a wonderful addition, to the bedrooms anyway.

Perfect for large family gathering

This was our third time vacationing here. We all love everything about it - the proximity and access to Lake Champlain; the house that comfortably accommodates us all (and our dogs); a well stocked kitchen. We can’t wait to return next year.

Great house for a family; lots of quiet spaces plus open areas.

Our annual family reunion was held here. The kids played tag in the yard, we "elders" watched them, the beach is shale so wear water shoes, s'mores at night. I couldn't ask for more.

Wonderful White Gables

Our family vacation at White Gables exceeded our expectations! The home provided everything we needed and more. We are a family of 14 (9 adults, 4 teenagers and 1 preschooler) and had plenty of space. The kitchen came equipped with everything needed for our family meals, the living space allowed for family game night, puzzling and relaxing conversations. The lake was incredible. We kayaked, swam and fished. The breathtaking gardens and yard were awesome. We played lawn games and enjoyed campfires in the evening. We all said there was nothing else we wanted or needed. The location of White Gables was another bonus. Burlington was a 40 minute car ride and the sweet stores in North Hero were perfect. Our time together provided dear memories we will cherish forever. Everyone wants to plan our next vacation at White Gables!

Jeff and Adrianne Gardner (Owners). Jeff grew up in Northern Vermont and has many ties to the Champlain Islands and the State. Adrianne grew up on the Southern California coast and fell in love with North Hero and Vermont on her first visit.

Sitting on the shores of Lake Champlain, White Gables is a unique property because of its location, size, and proximity to the lake. The owners have used this property as a family vacation home since it was purchased.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The house is large enough to reasonably accommodate a group, but intimate enough to be comfortable for a few guests. There are fabulous hundreds-of-years old maple trees on the property, one with a swing that overlooks the lake. The breath-taking views include Lake Champlain, Butler Island, Mount Mansfield, and Saint Albans. There is a wonderful English garden in the front of the house.
