Place misrepresented and pictures online are old
First, let me begin with the fact that this listing was misrepresented online. We chose due to the fact that it had 2 1/2 baths with 1 and 1/2 baths with shower on ground level, because we had a person with multiple sclerosis who could not climb stairs. When we arrived, the owner notified us that the 1/2 bath on the first floor was unusable due to the toilet being broken and not working. The door to the half bath was screwed shut. When we went to use the only shower in the house, there was extensive BLACK MOLD over the floor and coming up the walls, and on very old bottles left in the shower.
In addition, the ceiling fans had layers and gobs of dust and when the pull chains were pulled to turn on fan or light, dust fell in our eyes and face. I would wager that those fans hadn't been cleaned in at least two or three years based on the thickness of the dust. very dense level of cobwebs also indicated that the house and patio hadn't been cleaned in many months. Additionally, side door to outside was unlockable and only secured by a hook system that did not feel safe to 5 women 55 years plus. We vacated the property after one night because we couldn't shower and needed two toilets on the ground floor.
Location is ideal. Proximity to Sylvan Beach is excellent and lake access ideal. Patio at house was very disheveled and unkept, furniture rusted. Grill starter did not work, so if you wanted to use grill - you have to use a lighter to ignite the burner manually. Buyer beware.
