Welcome Aboard to our completely refurbished 50 foot houseboat! It has been retired from sailing the seas and is now a permanent dry-docked boat house! An inviting front porch welcomes you inside the home.

The boat house has a great location. It's just 5 minutes from Jodi's Bait shop. Bring your boat, water toys and all your fishing gear and choose which lake to visit each day. There are 5 boat ramps less than 10 minutes away that serve Lake Russell and Clarks Hill (Strom Thurmond Lake).

If fishing isn't your favorite, visit the Elbert County Wildlife Management Areas to hunt for deer, turkey & other small game. Check out their site (https://georgiawildlife.com/elbert-county-wma) for all hunting information on the numerous wildlife management areas that are within a reasonable driving distance for a great hunt.

The boat is fully furnished, has TV and wifi and Sleeps 3-4 people. There are 2 twin beds in the main bedroom and one hallway nook bed. Two small aged children could sleep in the hallway nook bed. Bed linens are provided. A full bathroom is also stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, etc.

The living room has a loveseat couch and massage chair for our weary travelers to relax to the fullest. A stocked kitchenette allows for light meal preps while you relax. There is not a full stove but we provide an electric double burner hot plate to cook with while you are here. Microwave, coffee pot and utensils are all stocked and ready for use.

This is NOT a party destination. NO outside speakers allowed. If you have more than 3 people who need a vacation, consider booking our other 2 bed/1 bath property located on the same grounds. The property ID is 4477805.

Lake Russell is approximately 26,500 acres in size with 540 miles of shoreline and is one of the few lakes in the Southeast that remains undeveloped, pristine and naturally picturesque. The area provides a wide variety of recreational activities including water sports, boating, hunting, fishing and hiking. Largemouth base and Striper fishing on Lake Russell is so popular that numerous fishing tournaments are held throughout the year.

Overall, it was great. Great location, the owner was very friendly, and the accommodations were perfect for what I wanted. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect layout and amenities were great.

Beds were comfortable and clean kitchen was well stocked. Wifi and tv worked well Shower had great hot water and water pressure. Very roomy and fun to hang out in.

Loved the peace and solitude!

Country life at its best! We were so happy and relaxed the entire stay. Even got to share the dog! Homie was a good boy and drank coffee on the deck with us!

Excellent location for fishing!

Awesome property set up well for fishing. Plenty of room for boat parking. Roger makes sure you have everything you need. The house boat is very nice. We will be staying here again in the future.

Relaxing stay with wonderful people

Roger and Connie went above and beyond. They made us feel so welcome and walked us through the functions of their land locked boat we were staying on. When they realized our original plans for the area fell through they made great suggestions for the area and resturants and offered to lend us equipment. The property itself was comfortable, relaxing and unique. Absolutely recommend!

wonderfull

Took my son and one of his friends on there first out of state fishing trip and had a blast. The house boat was just what we needed and Roger and Connie went above and beyond for me, forgot my laptop and bag when we left and they went out of there way to get it shipped out the next day, saved me big time. Plenty of parking and easy in and out, three minutes from boat ramp and very quite and peacefull. Very thankfull and will without doubt stay there again.

Awesome experience

The ‘boat’ was an awesome experience. It is in a nice country setting and close to a boat landing. The owners were friendly and filled us in with any information that we needed. The boat had everything we needed. The couch was comfy, the fridge was cold, the a/c worked great, the bedding was comfy and high end, the beds were awesomely comfortable. While my husband fished on Sat - I spent most of the day on the porch - reading, relaxing and bird watching. We would definitely come back to stay again. We almost hate leaving a review, as we’d like to keep it our secret. Lol

Wonderful surprise

We came to spend time with family members in a nearby city and stayed at this property. So surprised and satisfied with everything! Didn't realize it was so close to a beautiful state park and so nice and quiet. Connie has outdone herself on the interior. It's gorgeous and truly had all the immenities that you could ask for. ( Even a back scratcher!) So sweet and polite. The beds slept great and she even has swag if you want a souvenir! Lovely, adorable and just an all around great trip. Wish we could have stayed longer with you guys! We definitely are planning on coming back. Looking forward to seeing you guys again, and thanks for everything. PS.. the dog enjoyed the property as well. One of the best properties we've been to for pets. Thank you again.

Needs cleaning

Overall, my stay was OK. The shower squeaked terribly when standing in it and they had some type of a rubber liner in it that should be removed for sanitary reasons shower curtain liner should be replaced before the next renter. They should have a pest control for bugs I Seen a German cockroach in the bathroom and immediately removed all of my bathroom items from the sink area, second of all the musty linens in the bathroom should be replaced and/or bleached on a regular basis. Wasn’t sure what was clean and what was just washed it was not anything I would use. I had my girlfriend bring me my own towels and washcloths. Upon returning home by removed all of my clothing from my bags and washed everything in hot water immediately to make sure there was no German roaches in my clothing. Renters beware. In the rental description, they should stay. There is only one mini split system in the living area and not any air conditioning or condition space in the state room as they say in boating a fan was provided The fan provided needs to be disinfected and cleaned. It has a odor all of its own.
